1-2 İsa bütün bunları anlattıktan sonra öğrencilerine, ‹‹İki gün sonra Fısıh Bayramı olduğunu biliyorsunuz›› dedi, ‹‹İnsanoğlu çarmıha gerilmek üzere ele verilecek.›› 3 Bu sırada başkâhinlerle halkın ileri gelenleri, Kayafa adındaki başkâhinin sarayında toplandılar. 4 İsa'yı hileyle tutuklayıp öldürmek için düzen kurdular. 5 Ama, ‹‹Bayramda olmasın ki, halk arasında kargaşalık çıkmasın›› diyorlardı. 



6-7 İsa Beytanya'da cüzamlı Simun'un evindeyken, yanına bir kadın geldi. Kadın kaymaktaşından bir kap içinde çok değerli, güzel kokulu yağ getirmişti. İsa sofrada otururken, kadın yağı O'nun başına döktü. (Mar 14:3; Yu 12:1) 8 Öğrenciler bunu görünce kızdılar. ‹‹Nedir bu savurganlık?›› dediler. 9 ‹‹Bu yağ pahalıya satılabilir, parası yoksullara verilebilirdi.›› 10 Söylenenleri farkeden İsa, öğrencilerine, ‹‹Kadını neden üzüyorsunuz?›› dedi. ‹‹Benim için güzel bir şey yaptı. 11 Yoksullar her zaman aranızdadır, ama ben her zaman aranızda olmayacağım. 12 Kadın bu güzel kokulu yağı, beni gömülmeye hazırlamak için bedenimin üzerine boşalttı. 13 Size doğrusunu söyleyeyim, bu Müjde dünyanın neresinde duyurulursa, bu kadının yaptığı da onun anılması için anlatılacak.›› 



14-15 O sırada Onikiler'den biri -adı Yahuda İskariot olanı- başkâhinlere giderek, ‹‹O'nu ele verirsem bana ne verirsiniz?›› dedi. Otuz gümüş tartıp ona verdiler. (Mar 14:10; Luk 22:3) 16 Yahuda o andan itibaren İsa'yı ele vermek için fırsat kollamaya başladı. 



17 Mayasız Ekmek Bayramı'nın ilk günü öğrenciler İsa'nın yanına gelerek, ‹‹Fısıh yemeğini yemen için nerede hazırlık yapmamızı istersin?›› diye sordular. (Mar 14:12; Luk 22:7; Yu 13:21; 1 Ko 11:1) 18 İsa onlara, ‹‹Kente varıp o adamın evine gidin›› dedi. ‹‹Ona şöyle deyin: ‹Öğretmen diyor ki, zamanım yaklaştı. Fısıh Bayramı'nı, öğrencilerimle birlikte senin evinde kutlayacağım.› ›› 19 Öğrenciler, İsa'nın buyruğunu yerine getirerek Fısıh yemeği için hazırlık yaptılar. 20 Akşam olunca İsa on iki öğrencisiyle yemeğe oturdu. 21 Yemek yerlerken, ‹‹Size doğrusunu söyleyeyim, sizden biri bana ihanet edecek›› dedi. 22 Bu söz onları kedere boğdu. Teker teker, ‹‹Ya Rab, beni demek istemedin ya?›› diye sormaya başladılar. 23 O da, ‹‹Bana ihanet edecek olan›› dedi, ‹‹Elindeki ekmeği benimle birlikte sahana batırandır. 24 İnsanoğlu, kendisi için yazılmış olduğu gibi gidiyor, ama İnsanoğlu'na ihanet edenin vay haline! O adam hiç doğmamış olsaydı, kendisi için daha iyi olurdu.›› 25 O'na ihanet edecek olan Yahuda, ‹‹Rabbî, yoksa beni mi demek istedin?›› diye sordu. İsa ona, ‹‹Söylediğin gibidir›› karşılığını verdi. 26 Yemek sırasında İsa eline ekmek aldı, şükredip ekmeği böldü ve öğrencilerine verdi. ‹‹Alın, yiyin›› dedi, ‹‹Bu benim bedenimdir.›› 27 Sonra bir kâse alıp şükretti ve bunu öğrencilerine vererek, ‹‹Hepiniz bundan için›› dedi. 28 ‹‹Çünkü bu benim kanımdır, günahların bağışlanması için birçokları uğruna akıtılan antlaşma kanıdır. 29 Size şunu söyleyeyim, Babam'ın egemenliğinde sizinle birlikte tazesini içeceğim o güne dek, asmanın bu ürününden bir daha içmeyeceğim.›› 30 İlahi söyledikten sonra dışarı çıkıp Zeytin Dağı'na doğru gittiler. 



31 Bu arada İsa öğrencilerine, ‹‹Bu gece hepiniz benden ötürü sendeleyip düşeceksiniz›› dedi. ‹‹Çünkü şöyle yazılmıştır: ‹Çobanı vuracağım, Sürüdeki koyunlar darmadağın olacak.› (Mar 14:27; Luk 22:31; Yu 13:36) 32 Ama ben dirildikten sonra sizden önce Celile'ye gideceğim.›› 33 Petrus O'na, ‹‹Herkes senden ötürü sendeleyip düşse de ben asla düşmem›› dedi. 34 ‹‹Sana doğrusunu söyleyeyim›› dedi İsa, ‹‹Bu gece horoz ötmeden beni üç kez inkâr edeceksin.›› 35 Petrus, ‹‹Seninle birlikte ölmem gerekse bile seni asla inkâr etmem›› dedi. Öğrencilerin hepsi de aynı şeyi söyledi. 



36 Sonra İsa öğrencileriyle birlikte Getsemani denen yere geldi. Öğrencilerine, ‹‹Ben şuraya gidip dua edeceğim, siz burada oturun›› dedi. (Mar 14:32; Luk 22:39) 37 Petrus ile Zebedi'nin iki oğlunu yanına aldı. Kederlenmeye, ağır bir sıkıntı duymaya başlamıştı. 38 Onlara, ‹‹Ölesiye kederliyim›› dedi. ‹‹Burada kalın, benimle birlikte uyanık durun.›› 39 Biraz ilerledi, yüzüstü yere kapanıp dua etmeye başladı. ‹‹Baba›› dedi, ‹‹Mümkünse bu kâse benden uzaklaştırılsın. Yine de benim değil, senin istediğin olsun.›› 40 Öğrencilerin yanına döndüğünde onları uyumuş buldu. Petrus'a, ‹‹Demek ki benimle birlikte bir saat uyanık kalamadınız!›› dedi. 41 ‹‹Uyanık durup dua edin ki, ayartılmayasınız. Ruh isteklidir, ama beden güçsüzdür.›› 42 İsa ikinci kez uzaklaşıp dua etti. ‹‹Baba›› dedi, ‹‹Eğer ben içmeden bu kâsenin uzaklaştırılması mümkün değilse, senin istediğin olsun.›› 43 Geri geldiğinde öğrencilerini yine uyumuş buldu. Onların göz kapaklarına ağırlık çökmüştü. 44 Onları bırakıp tekrar uzaklaştı, yine aynı sözlerle üçüncü kez dua etti. 45 Sonra öğrencilerin yanına dönerek, ‹‹Hâlâ uyuyor, dinleniyor musunuz?›› dedi. ‹‹İşte saat yaklaştı, İnsanoğlu günahkârların eline veriliyor. 46 Kalkın, gidelim. İşte bana ihanet eden geldi!›› 



47 İsa daha konuşurken, Onikiler'den biri olan Yahuda geldi. Yanında, başkâhinlerle halkın ileri gelenleri tarafından gönderilmiş kılıçlı sopalı büyük bir kalabalık vardı. (Mar 14:43; Luk 22:47; Yu 18:3) 48 İsa'ya ihanet eden Yahuda, ‹‹Kimi öpersem, İsa O'dur, O'nu tutuklayın›› diye onlarla sözleşmişti. (Mar 14:1; Luk 22:1; Yu 11:45) 49 Dosdoğru İsa'ya gidip, ‹‹Selam, Rabbî!›› diyerek O'nu öptü. 50 İsa, ‹‹Arkadaş, ne yapacaksan yap!›› dedi. Bunun üzerine adamlar yaklaştı, İsa'yı yakalayıp tutukladılar. 51 İsa'yla birlikte olanlardan biri, ani bir hareketle kılıcını çekti, başkâhinin kölesine vurup kulağını uçurdu. 52 O zaman İsa ona, ‹‹Kılıcını yerine koy!›› dedi. ‹‹Kılıç çekenlerin hepsi kılıçla ölecek. 53 Yoksa Babam'dan yardım isteyemez miyim sanıyorsun? İstesem, hemen şu an bana on iki tümenden fazla melek gönderir. 54 Ama böyle olması gerektiğini bildiren Kutsal Yazılar o zaman nasıl yerine gelir?›› 55 Bundan sonra İsa kalabalığa dönüp şöyle seslendi: ‹‹Niçin bir haydutmuşum gibi beni kılıç ve sopalarla yakalamaya geldiniz? Her gün tapınakta oturup öğretiyordum, beni tutuklamadınız. 56 Ama bütün bunlar, peygamberlerin yazdıkları yerine gelsin diye oldu.›› O zaman öğrencilerin hepsi O'nu bırakıp kaçtı. 



57 İsa'yı tutuklayanlar, O'nu başkâhin Kayafa'ya götürdüler. Din bilginleriyle ileri gelenler de orada toplanmışlardı. (Mar 14:53; Luk 22:54; Yu 18:13) 58 Petrus, İsa'yı uzaktan, ta başkâhinin avlusuna kadar izledi. Sonucu görmek için içeri girip nöbetçilerin yanına oturdu. 59 Başkâhinlerle Yüksek Kurul'un öteki üyeleri, İsa'yı ölüm cezasına çarptırmak için kendisine karşı yalancı tanıklar arıyorlardı. 60-61 Ortaya birçok yalancı tanık çıktığı halde, aradıklarını bulamadılar. Sonunda ortaya çıkan iki kişi şöyle dedi: ‹‹Bu adam, ‹Ben Tanrı'nın Tapınağı'nı yıkıp üç günde yeniden kurabilirim› dedi.›› 62 Başkâhin ayağa kalkıp İsa'ya, ‹‹Hiç yanıt vermeyecek misin?›› dedi. ‹‹Nedir bunların sana karşı ettiği bu tanıklıklar?›› 63 İsa susmaya devam etti. Başkâhin ise O'na, ‹‹Yaşayan Tanrı adına ant içmeni buyuruyorum, söyle bize, Tanrı'nın Oğlu Mesih sen misin?›› dedi. 64 İsa, ‹‹Söylediğin gibidir›› karşılığını verdi. ‹‹Üstelik size şunu söyleyeyim, bundan sonra İnsanoğlu'nun, Kudretli Olan'ın sağında oturduğunu ve göğün bulutları üzerinde geldiğini göreceksiniz.›› 65 Bunun üzerine başkâhin giysilerini yırtarak, ‹‹Tanrı'ya küfretti!›› dedi. ‹‹Artık tanıklara ne ihtiyacımız var? İşte küfürü işittiniz. 66 Buna ne diyorsunuz?›› ‹‹Ölümü hak etti!›› diye karşılık verdiler. 67-68 Bunun üzerine İsa'nın yüzüne tükürüp O'nu yumrukladılar. Bazıları da O'nu tokatlayıp, ‹‹Ey Mesih, peygamberliğini göster bakalım, sana vuran kim?›› dediler. 



69 Petrus ise dışarıda, avluda oturuyordu. Bir hizmetçi kız yanına gelip, ‹‹Sen de Celileli İsa'yla birlikteydin›› dedi. (Mar 14:66; Luk 22:56; Yu 18:15) 70 Ama Petrus bunu herkesin önünde inkâr ederek, ‹‹Neden söz ettiğini anlamıyorum›› dedi. 71 Sonra avlu kapısının önüne çıktı. Onu gören başka bir hizmetçi kız orada bulunanlara, ‹‹Bu adam Nasıralı İsa'yla birlikteydi›› dedi. 72 Petrus ant içerek, ‹‹Ben o adamı tanımıyorum›› diye yine inkâr etti. 73 Orada duranlar az sonra Petrus'a yaklaşıp, ‹‹Gerçekten sen de onlardansın. Konuşman seni ele veriyor›› dediler. 74 Petrus kendine lanet okuyup ant içerek, ‹‹O adamı tanımıyorum!›› dedi. Tam o anda horoz öttü. 75 Petrus, İsa'nın, ‹‹Horoz ötmeden beni üç kez inkâr edeceksin›› dediğini hatırladı ve dışarı çıkıp acı acı ağladı.

1 When Jesus had finished all these sayings, he said to his disciples, 2 “You know that after two days the Passover is coming, and the Son of Man will be delivered up to be crucified.” (Mat 20:18; Mat 26:24; Mar 14:1; Luk 22:1; Yu 6:4) 3 Then the chief priests and the elders of the people gathered in the palace of the high priest, whose name was Caiaphas, (Mez 2:2; Mat 26:57; Mat 26:58; Mat 26:69; Luk 3:2; Luk 11:21; Yu 11:47; Yu 11:49; Yu 18:13; Yu 18:15; Elç 4:6; Elç 4:27; Va 11:2) 4 and plotted together in order to arrest Jesus by stealth and kill him. (Mat 21:46; Yu 11:53) 5 But they said, “Not during the feast, lest there be an uproar among the people.” (Mat 27:24) 



6 Now when Jesus was at Bethany in the house of Simon the leper,[1] (Mat 21:17; Mar 14:3; Luk 7:37; Yu 11:18; Yu 12:1) 7 a woman came up to him with an alabaster flask of very expensive ointment, and she poured it on his head as he reclined at table. 8 And when the disciples saw it, they were indignant, saying, “Why this waste? 9 For this could have been sold for a large sum and given to the poor.” (Yu 13:29) 10 But Jesus, aware of this, said to them, “Why do you trouble the woman? For she has done a beautiful thing to me. (Mat 16:8) 11 For you always have the poor with you, but you will not always have me. (Yas 15:11; Mat 9:15; Yu 7:33) 12 In pouring this ointment on my body, she has done it to prepare me for burial. (Yu 19:40) 13 Truly, I say to you, wherever this gospel is proclaimed in the whole world, what she has done will also be told in memory of her.” (Mat 24:14; Elç 10:4) 



14 Then one of the twelve, whose name was Judas Iscariot, went to the chief priests (Mat 10:4; Mat 27:3; Mar 14:10; Luk 22:3; Yu 6:71; Yu 12:4; Yu 13:2; Yu 13:27; Yu 13:30; Elç 1:16) 15 and said, “What will you give me if I deliver him over to you?” And they paid him thirty pieces of silver. (Yar 23:16; Çık 21:32; Yer 32:9; Zek 11:12; Mat 27:3; Mat 27:9) 16 And from that moment he sought an opportunity to betray him. (Mat 20:18) 



17 Now on the first day of Unleavened Bread the disciples came to Jesus, saying, “Where will you have us prepare for you to eat the Passover?” (Çık 12:18; Mar 14:12; Luk 22:7) 18 He said, “Go into the city to a certain man and say to him, ‘The Teacher says, My time is at hand. I will keep the Passover at your house with my disciples.’” (Mat 26:45; Yu 7:6; Yu 7:8; Yu 7:30; Yu 8:20; Yu 11:28; Yu 13:1; Yu 17:1) 19 And the disciples did as Jesus had directed them, and they prepared the Passover. 20 When it was evening, he reclined at table with the twelve.[2] (Mar 14:17; Luk 22:14; Luk 22:21; Yu 13:21) 21 And as they were eating, he said, “Truly, I say to you, one of you will betray me.” (Yu 6:70) 22 And they were very sorrowful and began to say to him one after another, “Is it I, Lord?” 23 He answered, “He who has dipped his hand in the dish with me will betray me. (Yu 13:18) 24 The Son of Man goes as it is written of him, but woe to that man by whom the Son of Man is betrayed! It would have been better for that man if he had not been born.” (Mat 18:7; Mat 26:54; Mat 26:56; Mar 9:12; Luk 18:31; Luk 24:25; Luk 24:46; Yu 17:12; Elç 17:2; Elç 26:22; 1 Ko 15:3; 1 Pe 1:10) 25 Judas, who would betray him, answered, “Is it I, Rabbi?” He said to him, “You have said so.” (Mat 26:49; Mat 26:64; Luk 22:70; Yu 1:38) 



26 Now as they were eating, Jesus took bread, and after blessing it broke it and gave it to the disciples, and said, “Take, eat; this is my body.” (Mat 14:19; Mar 14:22; Luk 22:18; Yu 6:53; 1 Ko 10:16; 1 Ko 11:23) 27 And he took a cup, and when he had given thanks he gave it to them, saying, “Drink of it, all of you, (Mat 15:36) 28 for this is my blood of the[3] covenant, which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins. (Çık 24:8; Zek 9:11; Mat 20:28; Mat 26:26; Mar 1:4; Luk 1:77; İbr 13:20) 29 I tell you I will not drink again of this fruit of the vine until that day when I drink it new with you in my Father’s kingdom.” (Mat 13:43) 



30 And when they had sung a hymn, they went out to the Mount of Olives. (Mat 21:1; Mar 14:26; Luk 22:39; Yu 18:1) 31 Then Jesus said to them, “You will all fall away because of me this night. For it is written, ‘I will strike the shepherd, and the sheep of the flock will be scattered.’ (Zek 13:7; Yu 16:32) 32 But after I am raised up, I will go before you to Galilee.” (Mat 28:7; Mat 28:10; Mat 28:16; Mar 16:7) 33 Peter answered him, “Though they all fall away because of you, I will never fall away.” (Luk 22:31; Luk 22:33) 34 Jesus said to him, “Truly, I tell you, this very night, before the rooster crows, you will deny me three times.” (Mat 26:75; Luk 22:34; Yu 13:38) 35 Peter said to him, “Even if I must die with you, I will not deny you!” And all the disciples said the same. (Luk 22:33; Yu 13:37) 



36 Then Jesus went with them to a place called Gethsemane, and he said to his disciples, “Sit here, while I go over there and pray.” (Mat 26:30; Mar 14:32; Luk 22:40) 37 And taking with him Peter and the two sons of Zebedee, he began to be sorrowful and troubled. (Mat 4:21; Mat 17:1) 38 Then he said to them, “My soul is very sorrowful, even to death; remain here, and watch[4] with me.” (Mez 42:5; Mat 24:42; Yu 12:27) 39 And going a little farther he fell on his face and prayed, saying, “My Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me; nevertheless, not as I will, but as you will.” (Mat 20:22; Mat 26:42; Yu 5:30; Yu 6:38; Flp 2:8; İbr 5:7) 40 And he came to the disciples and found them sleeping. And he said to Peter, “So, could you not watch with me one hour? 41 Watch and pray that you may not enter into temptation. The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.” (Mat 6:13; Mat 26:38; 1 Pe 4:7) 42 Again, for the second time, he went away and prayed, “My Father, if this cannot pass unless I drink it, your will be done.” (Mat 6:10; Mat 26:39) 43 And again he came and found them sleeping, for their eyes were heavy. (Luk 9:32) 44 So, leaving them again, he went away and prayed for the third time, saying the same words again. (2 Ko 12:8) 45 Then he came to the disciples and said to them, “Sleep and take your rest later on.[5] See, the hour is at hand, and the Son of Man is betrayed into the hands of sinners. (Mat 17:22; Mat 20:18; Mat 26:18; Luk 22:53; Yu 12:23; Yu 12:27; Yu 13:1; Yu 17:1) 46 Rise, let us be going; see, my betrayer is at hand.” 



47 While he was still speaking, Judas came, one of the twelve, and with him a great crowd with swords and clubs, from the chief priests and the elders of the people. (Mat 26:14; Mar 14:43; Luk 22:47; Yu 18:3; Elç 1:16) 48 Now the betrayer had given them a sign, saying, “The one I will kiss is the man; seize him.” 49 And he came up to Jesus at once and said, “Greetings, Rabbi!” And he kissed him. (Mat 26:25) 50 Jesus said to him, “Friend, do what you came to do.”[6] Then they came up and laid hands on Jesus and seized him. (Mat 20:13; Mat 22:12; Yu 13:27) 51 And behold, one of those who were with Jesus stretched out his hand and drew his sword and struck the servant[7] of the high priest and cut off his ear. (Luk 22:38) 52 Then Jesus said to him, “Put your sword back into its place. For all who take the sword will perish by the sword. (Yar 9:6; Hez 35:6; Va 13:10) 53 Do you think that I cannot appeal to my Father, and he will at once send me more than twelve legions of angels? (2 Kr 6:17; Dan 7:10; Mat 4:11; Luk 8:30; Luk 22:43; Yu 10:18; Yu 18:36) 54 But how then should the Scriptures be fulfilled, that it must be so?” (Mat 1:22; Mat 26:24) 55 At that hour Jesus said to the crowds, “Have you come out as against a robber, with swords and clubs to capture me? Day after day I sat in the temple teaching, and you did not seize me. (Mat 4:23; Mat 21:23; Luk 2:46; Yu 8:2; Yu 18:20) 56 But all this has taken place that the Scriptures of the prophets might be fulfilled.” Then all the disciples left him and fled. (Mez 88:8; Mez 88:18; Mat 26:31; Mat 26:54; Yu 16:32) 



57 Then those who had seized Jesus led him to Caiaphas the high priest, where the scribes and the elders had gathered. (Mat 26:3; Mar 14:53; Luk 22:54; Yu 18:12; Yu 18:19) 58 And Peter was following him at a distance, as far as the courtyard of the high priest, and going inside he sat with the guards to see the end. (Mat 26:57; Yu 7:32; Yu 18:3; Yu 18:15) 59 Now the chief priests and the whole council[8] were seeking false testimony against Jesus that they might put him to death, (Elç 6:11) 60 but they found none, though many false witnesses came forward. At last two came forward (Yas 19:15; Mez 27:12; Mez 35:11) 61 and said, “This man said, ‘I am able to destroy the temple of God, and to rebuild it in three days.’” (Mat 27:40; Yu 2:19; Elç 6:14) 62 And the high priest stood up and said, “Have you no answer to make? What is it that these men testify against you?”[9] 63 But Jesus remained silent. And the high priest said to him, “I adjure you by the living God, tell us if you are the Christ, the Son of God.” (Lev 5:1; 1 Sa 14:24; 1 Sa 14:26; Yşa 53:7; Mat 1:17; Mat 14:33; Mat 16:16; Mat 22:42; Mat 27:12; Mat 27:14; Mar 5:7; Luk 22:67; Yu 10:24; Yu 19:9) 64 Jesus said to him, “You have said so. But I tell you, from now on you will see the Son of Man seated at the right hand of Power and coming on the clouds of heaven.” (Mez 110:1; Mat 16:27; Mat 24:30; Mat 26:25; Mar 16:19; İbr 1:3) 65 Then the high priest tore his robes and said, “He has uttered blasphemy. What further witnesses do we need? You have now heard his blasphemy. (Say 14:6; Mat 9:3; Yu 10:36; Elç 14:14) 66 What is your judgment?” They answered, “He deserves death.” (Lev 24:16) 67 Then they spit in his face and struck him. And some slapped him, (Yşa 50:6; Mat 5:39; Mat 27:30; Mar 10:34; Luk 22:63; Yu 18:22; Elç 23:2) 68 saying, “Prophesy to us, you Christ! Who is it that struck you?” (Mat 26:63) 



69 Now Peter was sitting outside in the courtyard. And a servant girl came up to him and said, “You also were with Jesus the Galilean.” (Mat 26:3; Mar 14:66; Luk 22:55; Yu 18:16; Yu 18:25) 70 But he denied it before them all, saying, “I do not know what you mean.” 71 And when he went out to the entrance, another servant girl saw him, and she said to the bystanders, “This man was with Jesus of Nazareth.” (Mat 2:23) 72 And again he denied it with an oath: “I do not know the man.” 73 After a little while the bystanders came up and said to Peter, “Certainly you too are one of them, for your accent betrays you.” (Hak 12:6) 74 Then he began to invoke a curse on himself and to swear, “I do not know the man.” And immediately the rooster crowed. 75 And Peter remembered the saying of Jesus, “Before the rooster crows, you will deny me three times.” And he went out and wept bitterly.
