Help Me, O Lord My God

1 To the choirmaster. A Psalm of David. Be not silent, O God of my praise! (5Mo 10,21; Ps 28,1; Ps 71,6; Jer 17,14)

2 For wicked and deceitful mouths are opened against me, speaking against me with lying tongues. (Ps 52,4) 3 They encircle me with words of hate, and attack me without cause. (Ps 69,4) 4 In return for my love they accuse me, but I give myself to prayer.^[1] (Ps 38,20; Ps 69,13) 5 So they reward me evil for good, and hatred for my love.
