1Lord my God, I take refuge in you; save and deliver me from all who pursue me,[1]2or they will tear me apart like a lion and rip me to pieces with no-one to rescue me.3Lord my God, if I have done this and there is guilt on my hands –4if I have repaid my ally with evil or without cause have robbed my foe –5then let my enemy pursue and overtake me; let him trample my life to the ground and make me sleep in the dust.[2]6Arise, Lord, in your anger; rise up against the rage of my enemies. Awake, my God; decree justice.7Let the assembled peoples gather round you, while you sit enthroned over them on high.8Let the Lord judge the peoples. Vindicate me, Lord, according to my righteousness, according to my integrity, O Most High.9Bring to an end the violence of the wicked and make the righteous secure – you, the righteous God who probes minds and hearts.10My shield[3] is God Most High, who saves the upright in heart.11God is a righteous judge, a God who displays his wrath every day.12If he does not relent, he[4] will sharpen his sword; he will bend and string his bow.13He has prepared his deadly weapons; he makes ready his flaming arrows.14Whoever is pregnant with evil conceives trouble and gives birth to disillusionment.15Whoever digs a hole and scoops it out falls into the pit they have made.16The trouble they cause recoils on them; their violence comes down on their own heads.17I will give thanks to the Lord because of his righteousness; I will sing the praises of the name of the Lord Most High.

1ای خداوند، خدای من، به تو پناه میآورم؛ مرا از دست تعقيبكنندگانم نجات ده،2و گرنه آنها همچون شير مرا میدرند و تكهتكه میكنند بدون آنكه كسی بتواند به نجاتم بشتابد.3ای خداوند، خدای من، اگر به كسی ظلم كردهام،4اگر خوبی را با بدی تلافی نمودهام و يا به ناحق دشمن خود را غارت كردهام،5آنگاه بگذار دشمن مرا تعقيب نموده، به دام اندازد و زندگیام را تباه سازد.6ای خداوند، برخيز و با غضبت در مقابل خشم دشمنانم بايست! ای خدای من، برخيز و عدالت را برقرار نما.7همهٔ قومها را نزد خود جمع كن و از بالا بر ايشان داوری فرما.8ای خداوند كه داور همهٔ مردم هستی، پاكی و بیگناهی مرا ببين و حكم بده.9ای خدای عادل كه از افكار و دلهای ما باخبری، بديها را از بين ببر و نيكان را استوار ساز.10خدا سپر من است و از من محافظت میكند. او كسانی را كه دلشان پاک و راست است، نجات میبخشد.11خدا داور عادل است. او هر روز بر بدكاران خشمگين میشود.12اگر آنها به سوی خدا بازگشت نكنند، او شمشيرش را تيز خواهد كرد. خدا كمان خود را كشيده و آماده كرده است.13او سلاحهای مرگبار و تيرهای آتشين خود را به دست گرفته است.14وجود اشخاص گناهكار پر از شرارت و ظلم است و اعمالشان نادرست.15آنها برای ديگران چاه میكنند، اما خود در آن میافتند16و در دام بدانديشی و ظلم خود گرفتار میشوند.17خداوند را به خاطر عدالتش میستايم و در وصف او كه متعال است میسرايم.
