Vor deiner Macht müssen sogar deine Feinde sich beugen.4Alle Völker der Erde werden dich anbeten, sie werden dich preisen und deinen Namen besingen.«5Kommt und seht, was Gott getan hat; wie ehrfurchtgebietend sind seine Taten unter den Menschen!6Er teilte das Meer und ließ sein Volk hindurchziehen, trockenen Fußes konnten sie das Wasser durchqueren. Lobt ihn laut, dass alle es hören!9Gott erhält uns am Leben, er lässt uns nicht untergehen.10Du, o Gott, hast uns geprüft, du hast uns geläutert wie Silber im Schmelzofen:11Du hast uns in die Falle laufen lassen und schwere Lasten auf unsere Schultern gelegt.12Andere Menschen trampelten auf uns herum, durch viele Feuerproben mussten wir hindurch[1] – aber du hast uns aus der Gefahr befreit und uns mehr gegeben, als wir brauchten.13Ich komme jetzt mit Brandopfern in dein Heiligtum und löse meine Versprechen ein,14die ich in meiner Not hinausgeschrien habe.15Nun bringe ich dir die wertvollsten Opfertiere: fette Widder, Rinder und Ziegenböcke. Ihr Rauch soll aufsteigen zu dir.16Kommt und hört mir zu, ihr, die ihr Gott achtet und ehrt, ich will euch erzählen, was er für mich getan hat.17Als ich zu ihm um Hilfe schrie, wusste ich: Gott wird mir helfen! (Jos 7,19; Jes 42,12)3Say to God, “How awesome are your deeds! So great is your power that your enemies come cringing to you. (Ps 18,44; Ps 65,5)4All the earth worships you and sings praises to you; they sing praises to your name.” (Ps 22,27)5Come and see what God has done: he is awesome in his deeds toward the children of man.
