1 ‹‹Size doğrusunu söyleyeyim, koyun ağılına kapıdan girmeyip başka yoldan giren kişi hırsız ve hayduttur. 2 Kapıdan giren ise koyunların çobanıdır. 3 Kapıyı bekleyen ona kapıyı açar. Koyunlar çobanın sesini işitirler, o da kendi koyunlarını adlarıyla çağırır ve onları dışarı götürür. 4 Kendi koyunlarının hepsini dışarı çıkarınca önlerinden gider, koyunlar da onu izler. Çünkü onun sesini tanırlar. 5 Bir yabancının peşinden gitmezler, ondan kaçarlar. Çünkü yabancıların sesini tanımazlar.›› 6 İsa onlara bu örneği anlattıysa da, ne demek istediğini anlamadılar. 7 Bunun için İsa yine, ‹‹Size doğrusunu söyleyeyim›› dedi, ‹‹Ben koyunların kapısıyım. 8 Benden önce gelenlerin hepsi hırsız ve hayduttu, ama koyunlar onları dinlemedi. 9 Kapı Ben'im. Bir kimse benim aracılığımla içeri girerse kurtulur. Girer, çıkar ve otlak bulur. 10 Hırsız ancak çalıp öldürmek ve yok etmek için gelir. Bense insanlar yaşama, bol yaşama sahip olsunlar diye geldim. 11 Ben iyi çobanım. İyi çoban koyunları uğruna canını verir. 12 Koyunların çobanı ve sahibi olmayan ücretli adam, kurdun geldiğini görünce koyunları bırakıp kaçar. Kurt da onları kapar ve dağıtır. 13 Adam kaçar. Çünkü ücretlidir ve koyunlar için kaygı duymaz. 14-15 Ben iyi çobanım. Benimkileri tanırım. Baba beni tanıdığı, ben de Baba'yı tanıdığım gibi, benimkiler de beni tanır. Ben koyunlarımın uğruna canımı veririm. 16 Bu ağıldan olmayan başka koyunlarım var. Onları da getirmeliyim. Benim sesimi işitecekler ve tek sürü, tek çoban olacak. 17 Canımı, tekrar geri almak üzere veririm. Bunun için Baba beni sever. 18 Canımı kimse benden alamaz; ben onu kendiliğimden veririm. Onu vermeye de tekrar geri almaya da yetkim var. Bu buyruğu Babam'dan aldım.›› 19 Bu sözlerden dolayı Yahudiler arasında yine ayrılık doğdu. 20 Birçoğu, ‹‹O'nu cin çarpmış, delidir. Niçin O'nu dinliyorsunuz?›› diyordu. 21 Başkaları ise, ‹‹Bunlar, cin çarpmış bir adamın sözleri değil›› dediler. ‹‹Cin, körlerin gözlerini açabilir mi?›› 



22 O sırada Yeruşalim'de Tapınağın Açılışını Anma Bayramı kutlanıyordu. Mevsim kıştı. 23 İsa tapınağın avlusunda, Süleyman'ın Eyvanı'nda yürüyordu. 24 Yahudi yetkililer O'nun çevresini sararak, ‹‹Bizi daha ne kadar zaman kuşkuda bırakacaksın?›› dediler. ‹‹Eğer Mesih isen, bize açıkça söyle.›› 25 İsa onlara şu karşılığı verdi: ‹‹Size söyledim, ama iman etmiyorsunuz. Babam'ın adıyla yaptığım işler bana tanıklık ediyor. 26 Ama siz iman etmiyorsunuz. Çünkü benim koyunlarımdan değilsiniz. 27 Koyunlarım sesimi işitir. Ben onları tanırım, onlar da beni izler. 28 Onlara sonsuz yaşam veririm; asla mahvolmayacaklar. Onları hiç kimse elimden kapamaz. 29 Onları bana veren Babam her şeyden üstündür. Onları Baba'nın elinden kapmaya kimsenin gücü yetmez. 30 Ben ve Baba biriz.›› 31 Yahudi yetkililer O'nu taşlamak için yerden yine taş aldılar. 32 İsa onlara, ‹‹Size Baba'dan kaynaklanan birçok iyi işler gösterdim›› dedi. ‹‹Bu işlerden hangisi için beni taşlıyorsunuz?›› 33 Şöyle yanıt verdiler: ‹‹Seni iyi işlerden ötürü değil, küfür ettiğin için taşlıyoruz. İnsan olduğun halde Tanrı olduğunu ileri sürüyorsun.›› 34 İsa şu karşılığı verdi: ‹‹Yasanızda, ‹Siz ilahlarsınız, dedim› diye yazılı değil mi? 35 Tanrı, kendilerine sözünü gönderdiği kimseleri ilahlar diye adlandırır. Kutsal Yazı da geçerliliğini yitirmez. 36 Baba beni kendine ayırıp dünyaya gönderdi. Öyleyse ‹Tanrı'nın Oğlu'yum› dediğim için bana nasıl ‹Küfür ediyorsun› dersiniz? 37 Eğer Babam'ın işlerini yapmıyorsam, bana iman etmeyin. 38 Ama yapıyorsam, bana iman etmeseniz bile, yaptığım işlere iman edin. Öyle ki, Baba'nın bende, benim de Baba'da olduğumu bilesiniz ve anlayasınız.›› 39 O'nu yine yakalamaya çalıştılarsa da, ellerinden sıyrılıp kurtuldu. 40 Tekrar Şeria Irmağı'nın karşı yakasına, Yahya'nın başlangıçta vaftiz ettiği yere gitti ve orada kaldı. 41 Birçokları, ‹‹Yahya hiç mucize yapmadı, ama bu adam için söylediklerinin hepsi doğru çıktı›› diyerek İsa'ya geldiler. 42 Ve orada birçokları O'na iman etti.

1 “Truly, truly, I say to you, he who does not enter the sheepfold by the door but climbs in by another way, that man is a thief and a robber. 2 But he who enters by the door is the shepherd of the sheep. 3 To him the gatekeeper opens. The sheep hear his voice, and he calls his own sheep by name and leads them out. 4 When he has brought out all his own, he goes before them, and the sheep follow him, for they know his voice. 5 A stranger they will not follow, but they will flee from him, for they do not know the voice of strangers.” (Yu 10:12) 6 This figure of speech Jesus used with them, but they did not understand what he was saying to them. (Mar 9:32; Yu 9:40) 7 So Jesus again said to them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, I am the door of the sheep. (Yu 10:9; Yu 14:6; Ef 2:18) 8 All who came before me are thieves and robbers, but the sheep did not listen to them. 9 I am the door. If anyone enters by me, he will be saved and will go in and out and find pasture. (Mez 23:2; Hez 34:14; Yu 5:34) 10 The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly. (Yer 23:1; Hez 34:3) 11 I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep. (Yşa 40:11; Hez 34:12; Hez 34:23; Hez 37:24; Zek 13:7; Mat 20:28; Mar 10:45; Yu 10:15; Yu 10:17; Yu 15:13; Yu 21:15; İbr 13:20; 1 Pe 2:25; 1 Pe 5:4; 1 Yu 3:16; Va 7:17) 12 He who is a hired hand and not a shepherd, who does not own the sheep, sees the wolf coming and leaves the sheep and flees, and the wolf snatches them and scatters them. (Yer 23:1; Hez 34:2; Zek 11:17; Zek 13:7) 13 He flees because he is a hired hand and cares nothing for the sheep. (Zek 11:16; 1 Pe 5:2) 14 I am the good shepherd. I know my own and my own know me, (Nah 1:7; Yu 10:4; Yu 10:11; Yu 10:27; 2 Ti 2:19) 15 just as the Father knows me and I know the Father; and I lay down my life for the sheep. (Mat 11:27; Yu 10:11) 16 And I have other sheep that are not of this fold. I must bring them also, and they will listen to my voice. So there will be one flock, one shepherd. (Yşa 53:7; Yşa 53:12; Yu 5:20; Yu 10:11; Flp 2:9; İbr 2:9) 18 No one takes it from me, but I lay it down of my own accord. I have authority to lay it down, and I have authority to take it up again. This charge I have received from my Father.” (Mat 26:53; Yu 2:19; Yu 5:30; Yu 10:17; Yu 12:49; Yu 14:31; Yu 15:10; Flp 2:7) 19 There was again a division among the Jews because of these words. (Yu 7:43; Yu 9:16) 20 Many of them said, “He has a demon, and is insane; why listen to him?” (Mar 3:21; Yu 7:20) 21 Others said, “These are not the words of one who is oppressed by a demon. Can a demon open the eyes of the blind?” (Çık 4:11; Mez 146:8; Yu 9:33) 



22 At that time the Feast of Dedication took place at Jerusalem. It was winter, 23 and Jesus was walking in the temple, in the colonnade of Solomon. (Elç 3:11; Elç 5:12) 24 So the Jews gathered around him and said to him, “How long will you keep us in suspense? If you are the Christ, tell us plainly.” (Mat 26:63; Luk 22:67; Yu 1:41) 25 Jesus answered them, “I told you, and you do not believe. The works that I do in my Father’s name bear witness about me, (Yu 5:36; Yu 5:43; Yu 10:38) 26 but you do not believe because you are not among my sheep. (Yu 8:47) 27 My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me. (Yu 10:14; Yu 10:16) 28 I give them eternal life, and they will never perish, and no one will snatch them out of my hand. (Yu 6:37; Yu 17:12; Yu 18:9; 1 Yu 2:25; 1 Yu 5:11) 29 My Father, who has given them to me,[1] is greater than all, and no one is able to snatch them out of the Father’s hand. (Yas 32:39; Yşa 49:2; Yşa 51:16; Yu 6:37; Yu 14:28; Yu 17:2) 30 I and the Father are one.” (Yu 5:19; Yu 14:9; Yu 17:11; Yu 17:22) 31 The Jews picked up stones again to stone him. (Yu 8:59) 32 Jesus answered them, “I have shown you many good works from the Father; for which of them are you going to stone me?” 33 The Jews answered him, “It is not for a good work that we are going to stone you but for blasphemy, because you, being a man, make yourself God.” (Lev 24:16; Mat 9:3; Yu 5:18) 34 Jesus answered them, “Is it not written in your Law, ‘I said, you are gods’? (Mez 82:6; Yu 12:34; Yu 15:25; 1 Ko 14:21) 35 If he called them gods to whom the word of God came—and Scripture cannot be broken— (Mat 5:17; Mat 5:19) 36 do you say of him whom the Father consecrated and sent into the world, ‘You are blaspheming,’ because I said, ‘I am the Son of God’? (Yu 3:17; Yu 5:17; Yu 6:27; Yu 10:30) 37 If I am not doing the works of my Father, then do not believe me; (Yu 15:24) 38 but if I do them, even though you do not believe me, believe the works, that you may know and understand that the Father is in me and I am in the Father.” (Yu 8:29; Yu 10:25; Yu 14:10; Yu 14:11; Yu 14:20; Yu 17:21; Yu 17:23) 39 Again they sought to arrest him, but he escaped from their hands. (Yu 7:30; Yu 7:44) 40 He went away again across the Jordan to the place where John had been baptizing at first, and there he remained. (Yu 1:28) 41 And many came to him. And they said, “John did no sign, but everything that John said about this man was true.” (Yu 1:7; Yu 1:29; Yu 3:27; Yu 5:33) 42 And many believed in him there. (Yu 7:31)
