1 Böylece Mesih İsa'ya ait olanlara artık hiçbir mahkûmiyet yoktur. 2 Çünkü yaşam veren Ruh'un yasası, Mesih İsa sayesinde beni günahın ve ölümün yasasından özgür kıldı. 3 İnsan benliğinden ötürü güçsüz olan Kutsal Yasa'nın yapamadığını Tanrı yaptı. Öz Oğlu'nu günahlı insan benzerliğinde günah sunusu olarak gönderip günahı insan benliğinde yargıladı. 4 Öyle ki, Yasa'nın gereği, benliğe göre değil, Ruh'a göre yaşayan bizlerde yerine gelsin. 5 Benliğe uyanlar benlikle ilgili, Ruh'a uyanlarsa Ruh'la ilgili işleri düşünürler. 6 Benliğe dayanan düşünce ölüm, Ruh'a dayanan düşünceyse yaşam ve esenliktir. 7 Çünkü benliğe dayanan düşünce Tanrı'ya düşmandır; Tanrı'nın Yasası'na boyun eğmez, eğemez de... 8 Benliğin denetiminde olanlar Tanrı'yı hoşnut edemezler. 9 Ne var ki, Tanrı'nın Ruhu içinizde yaşıyorsa, benliğin değil, Ruh'un denetimindesiniz. Ama içinde Mesih'in Ruhu olmayan kişi Mesih'in değildir. 10 Eğer Mesih içinizdeyse, bedeniniz günah yüzünden ölü olmakla birlikte, aklanmış olduğunuz için ruhunuz diridir. 11 Mesih İsa'yı ölümden dirilten Tanrı'nın Ruhu içinizde yaşıyorsa, Mesih'i ölümden dirilten Tanrı, içinizde yaşayan Ruhu'yla ölümlü bedenlerinize de yaşam verecektir. 12 Öyleyse kardeşlerim, borçluyuz ama, benliğe göre yaşamak için benliğe borçlu değiliz. 13 Çünkü benliğe göre yaşarsanız öleceksiniz; ama bedenin kötü işlerini Ruh'la öldürürseniz yaşayacaksınız. 14 Tanrı'nın Ruhu'yla yönetilenlerin hepsi Tanrı'nın oğullarıdır. 15 Çünkü sizi yeniden korkuya sürükleyecek kölelik ruhunu almadınız, oğulluk ruhunu aldınız. Bu ruhla, ‹‹Abba, Baba!›› diye sesleniriz. 16 Ruh'un kendisi, bizim ruhumuzla birlikte, Tanrı'nın çocukları olduğumuza tanıklık eder. 17 Eğer Tanrı'nın çocuklarıysak, aynı zamanda mirasçıyız. Mesih'le birlikte yüceltilmek üzere Mesih'le birlikte acı çekiyorsak, Tanrı'nın mirasçılarıyız, Mesih'le ortak mirasçılarız. 



18 Kanım şu ki, bu anın acıları, gözümüzün önüne serilecek yücelikle karşılaştırılmaya değmez. 19 Yaratılış, Tanrı çocuklarının ortaya çıkmasını büyük özlemle bekliyor. 20-21 Çünkü yaratılış amaçsızlığa teslim edildi. Bu da yaratılışın isteğiyle değil, onu amaçsızlığa teslim eden Tanrı'nın isteğiyle oldu. Çünkü yaratılışın, yozlaşmaya köle olmaktan kurtarılıp Tanrı çocuklarının yüce özgürlüğüne kavuşturulması umudu vardı. 22 Bütün yaratılışın şu ana dek birlikte inleyip doğum ağrısı çektiğini biliyoruz. 23 Yalnız yaratılış değil, biz de -evet Ruh'un turfandasına sahip olan bizler de- evlatlığa alınmayı, yani bedenlerimizin kurtulmasını özlemle bekleyerek içimizden inliyoruz. 24 Çünkü bu umutla kurtulduk. Ama görülen umut, umut değildir. Gördüğü şeyi kim umut eder? 25 Oysa görmediğimize umut bağlarsak, sabırla bekleyebiliriz. 26 Bunun gibi, Ruh da güçsüzlüğümüzde bize yardım eder. Ne için dua etmemiz gerektiğini bilmeyiz, ama Ruh'un kendisi, sözle anlatılamaz iniltilerle bizim için aracılık eder. 27 Yürekleri araştıran Tanrı, Ruh'un düşüncesinin ne olduğunu bilir. Çünkü Ruh, Tanrı'nın isteği uyarınca kutsallar için aracılık eder. 28 Tanrı'nın, kendisini sevenlerle, amacı uyarınca çağrılmış olanlarla birlikte her durumda iyilik için etkin olduğunu biliriz. 29 Çünkü Tanrı önceden bildiği kişileri Oğlu'nun benzerliğine dönüştürmek üzere önceden belirledi. Öyle ki, Oğul birçok kardeş arasında ilk doğan olsun. 30 Tanrı önceden belirlediği kişileri çağırdı, çağırdıklarını akladı ve akladıklarını yüceltti. 



31 Öyleyse buna ne diyelim? Tanrı bizden yanaysa, kim bize karşı olabilir? 32 Öz Oğlu'nu bile esirgemeyip O'nu hepimiz için ölüme teslim eden Tanrı, O'nunla birlikte bize her şeyi bağışlamayacak mı? 33 Tanrı'nın seçtiklerini kim suçlayacak? Onları aklayan Tanrı'dır. 34 Kim suçlu çıkaracak? Ölmüş, üstelik dirilmiş olan Mesih İsa, Tanrı'nın sağındadır ve bizim için aracılık etmektedir. 35 Mesih'in sevgisinden bizi kim ayırabilir? Sıkıntı mı, elem mi, zulüm mü, açlık mı, çıplaklık mı, tehlike mi, kılıç mı? 36 Yazılmış olduğu gibi: ‹‹Senin uğruna bütün gün öldürülüyoruz, Kasaplık koyun sayılıyoruz.›› 37 Ama bizi sevenin aracılığıyla bu durumların hepsinde galiplerden üstünüz. 38-39 Eminim ki, ne ölüm, ne yaşam, ne melekler, ne yönetimler, ne şimdiki ne gelecek zaman, ne güçler, ne yükseklik, ne derinlik, ne de yaratılmış başka bir şey bizi Rabbimiz Mesih İsa'da olan Tanrı sevgisinden ayırmaya yetecektir.

1 There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.[1] 2 For the law of the Spirit of life has set you[2] free in Christ Jesus from the law of sin and death. (Rom 6:14; Rom 6:18; Rom 7:4; Rom 8:12; 1 Ko 15:45; 2 Ko 3:6) 3 For God has done what the law, weakened by the flesh, could not do. By sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh and for sin,[3] he condemned sin in the flesh, (Lev 16:5; Yu 1:14; Elç 13:39; 2 Ko 5:21; Gal 4:9; Flp 2:7; İbr 7:18; İbr 10:1; İbr 10:6; İbr 10:8; İbr 10:10; İbr 10:14; İbr 13:11) 4 in order that the righteous requirement of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not according to the flesh but according to the Spirit. (Rom 1:32; Rom 2:26; Gal 5:16; Gal 5:25) 5 For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit set their minds on the things of the Spirit. (Gal 5:19; Gal 5:22; Gal 5:25; Gal 6:8) 6 For to set the mind on the flesh is death, but to set the mind on the Spirit is life and peace. (Rom 6:21; Rom 8:13; Kol 2:18) 7 For the mind that is set on the flesh is hostile to God, for it does not submit to God’s law; indeed, it cannot. (1 Ko 2:14; Yak 4:4) 8 Those who are in the flesh cannot please God. 9 You, however, are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if in fact the Spirit of God dwells in you. Anyone who does not have the Spirit of Christ does not belong to him. (Yu 14:17; Elç 16:7; Rom 8:11; 1 Ko 3:16; 1 Ko 6:19; 2 Ko 6:16; 2 Ti 1:14; Yah 1:19) 10 But if Christ is in you, although the body is dead because of sin, the Spirit is life because of righteousness. 11 If the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, he who raised Christ Jesus[4] from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through his Spirit who dwells in you. 12 So then, brothers,[5] we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live according to the flesh. (Rom 8:2) 13 For if you live according to the flesh you will die, but if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, you will live. (Kol 3:5) 14 For all who are led by the Spirit of God are sons[6] of God. (Yas 14:1; Hoş 1:10; Yu 1:12; Rom 8:16; Rom 8:19; Rom 9:8; Rom 9:26; Gal 5:18) 15 For you did not receive the spirit of slavery to fall back into fear, but you have received the Spirit of adoption as sons, by whom we cry, “Abba! Father!” (Yşa 56:5; Yer 31:9; Mar 14:36; Rom 8:23; Rom 9:4; 1 Ko 2:12; Gal 2:4; Gal 4:5; Gal 4:6; 2 Ti 1:7; İbr 2:15; 1 Yu 4:18) 16 The Spirit himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God, (2 Ko 1:22; 2 Ko 5:5; Ef 1:13; 1 Yu 3:24) 17 and if children, then heirs—heirs of God and fellow heirs with Christ, provided we suffer with him in order that we may also be glorified with him. (Elç 14:22; 2 Ko 1:7; Gal 3:29; Gal 4:7; 2 Ti 2:12; Tit 3:7) 



18 For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worth comparing with the glory that is to be revealed to us. (2 Ko 4:17; 1 Pe 1:5) 19 For the creation waits with eager longing for the revealing of the sons of God. (Rom 2:7; 1 Pe 4:13; 1 Pe 5:1; 1 Yu 3:2) 20 For the creation was subjected to futility, not willingly, but because of him who subjected it, in hope (Yar 3:17; Yar 3:18; Vai 1:2) 21 that the creation itself will be set free from its bondage to corruption and obtain the freedom of the glory of the children of God. (Elç 3:21) 22 For we know that the whole creation has been groaning together in the pains of childbirth until now. (Yer 12:4; Yer 12:11; Mar 16:15) 23 And not only the creation, but we ourselves, who have the firstfruits of the Spirit, groan inwardly as we wait eagerly for adoption as sons, the redemption of our bodies. (Yşa 25:9; Luk 21:28; Rom 7:24; Rom 8:19; Rom 8:25; 2 Ko 5:2; 2 Ko 5:4; 2 Ko 5:5; Gal 5:5; Yak 1:18) 24 For in this hope we were saved. Now hope that is seen is not hope. For who hopes for what he sees? (2 Ko 4:18; 1 Se 1:3; 1 Se 5:8; İbr 11:1) 25 But if we hope for what we do not see, we wait for it with patience. (1 Se 1:3; 1 Se 5:8) 26 Likewise the Spirit helps us in our weakness. For we do not know what to pray for as we ought, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words. (Zek 12:10; Mat 20:22; Yu 14:16; Ef 6:18; Yak 4:3) 27 And he who searches hearts knows what is the mind of the Spirit, because[7] the Spirit intercedes for the saints according to the will of God. (1 Sa 16:7; 1 Ta 28:9; Özd 15:11; Özd 17:3; Yer 11:20; Yer 17:10; Luk 16:15; Rom 8:6; Rom 8:34; 1 Se 2:4; 1 Yu 5:14) 28 And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good,[8] for those who are called according to his purpose. (Ezr 8:22; Vai 8:12; Rom 9:24; 1 Ko 1:9; 1 Ko 7:15; 1 Ko 7:17; Gal 1:15; Gal 5:8; Ef 4:1; Ef 4:4; 2 Ti 1:9) 29 For those whom he foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, in order that he might be the firstborn among many brothers. (Rom 9:23; Rom 11:2; 1 Ko 2:7; 1 Ko 15:49; Ef 1:5; Ef 1:11; Flp 3:21; Kol 1:15; Kol 1:18; Kol 3:10; İbr 1:6; 1 Pe 1:2; 1 Yu 3:2; Va 1:5) 30 And those whom he predestined he also called, and those whom he called he also justified, and those whom he justified he also glorified. (Yu 17:22; 1 Ko 6:11; İbr 2:10) 



31 What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be[9] against us? (Say 14:9; 2 Kr 6:16; Mez 118:6; 1 Yu 4:4) 32 He who did not spare his own Son but gave him up for us all, how will he not also with him graciously give us all things? (Yu 3:16; Rom 4:25) 33 Who shall bring any charge against God’s elect? It is God who justifies. (Yşa 50:8; Va 12:10) 34 Who is to condemn? Christ Jesus is the one who died—more than that, who was raised—who is at the right hand of God, who indeed is interceding for us.[10] (Mar 16:19; Rom 8:1; Rom 8:27; İbr 7:25; 1 Yu 2:1) 35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or danger, or sword? 36 As it is written, “For your sake we are being killed all the day long; we are regarded as sheep to be slaughtered.” (Mez 44:22; Elç 20:24; 1 Ko 4:9; 1 Ko 15:30; 2 Ko 4:10) 37 No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. (Yu 16:33; 1 Ko 15:57; Gal 2:20; Ef 5:2; Va 1:5; Va 3:9) 38 For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, 39 nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.
