1-2 İsa söz alıp onlara yine benzetmelerle şöyle seslendi: ‹‹Göklerin Egemenliği, oğlu için düğün şöleni hazırlayan bir krala benzer. 3 Kral şölene davet ettiklerini çağırmak üzere kölelerini gönderdi, ama davetliler gelmek istemedi. 4 ‹‹Kral yine başka kölelerini gönderirken onlara dedi ki, ‹Davetlilere şunu söyleyin: Bakın, ben ziyafetimi hazırladım. Sığırlarım, besili hayvanlarım kesildi. Her şey hazır, buyrun şölene!› 5 ‹‹Ama davetliler aldırmadılar. Biri tarlasına, biri ticaretine gitti. 6 Öbürleri de kralın kölelerini yakalayıp hırpaladılar ve öldürdüler. 7 Kral öfkelendi. Ordularını gönderip o katilleri yok etti, kentlerini ateşe verdi. 8 ‹‹Sonra kölelerine şöyle dedi: ‹Düğün şöleni hazır, ama çağırdıklarım buna layık değilmiş. 9 Gidin yol kavşaklarına, kimi bulursanız düğüne çağırın.› 10 Böylece köleler yollara döküldü, iyi kötü kimi buldularsa, hepsini topladılar. Düğün yeri konuklarla doldu. 11 ‹‹Kral konukları görmeye geldiğinde, orada düğün giysisi giymemiş bir adam gördü. 12 Ona, ‹Arkadaş, düğün giysisi giymeden buraya nasıl girdin?› diye sorunca, adamın dili tutuldu. 13 ‹‹O zaman kral, uşaklarına, ‹Şunun ellerini ayaklarını bağlayın, dışarıya, karanlığa atın!› dedi. ‹Orada ağlayış ve diş gıcırtısı olacaktır.› 14 ‹‹Çünkü çağrılanlar çok, ama seçilenler azdır.›› 



15 Bunun üzerine Ferisiler çıkıp gittiler. İsa'yı, kendi söyleyeceği sözlerle tuzağa düşürmek amacıyla düzen kurdular. (Mar 12:13; Luk 20:20) 16 Hirodes yanlılarıyla birlikte gönderdikleri kendi öğrencileri İsa'ya gelip, ‹‹Öğretmenimiz›› dediler, ‹‹Senin dürüst biri olduğunu, Tanrı yolunu dürüstçe öğrettiğini, kimseyi kayırmadığını biliyoruz. Çünkü insanlar arasında ayrım yapmazsın. 17 Peki, söyle bize, sence Sezar'a vergi vermek Kutsal Yasa'ya uygun mu, değil mi?›› 18 İsa onların kötü niyetlerini bildiğinden, ‹‹Ey ikiyüzlüler!›› dedi. ‹‹Beni neden deniyorsunuz? 19 Vergi öderken kullandığınız parayı gösterin bana!›› O'na bir dinar getirdiler. 20 İsa, ‹‹Bu resim, bu yazı kimin?›› diye sordu. 21 ‹‹Sezar'ın›› dediler. O zaman İsa, ‹‹Öyleyse Sezar'ın hakkını Sezar'a, Tanrı'nın hakkını Tanrı'ya verin›› dedi. 22 Bu sözleri duyunca şaştılar, İsa'yı bırakıp gittiler. 



23-24 Ölümden sonra diriliş olmadığını söyleyen Sadukiler, aynı gün İsa'ya gelip şunu sordular: ‹‹Öğretmenimiz, Musa şöyle buyurmuştur: ‹Eğer bir adam çocuk sahibi olmadan ölürse, kardeşi onun karısını alsın, soyunu sürdürsün.› (Mar 12:18; Luk 20:27) 25 Aramızda yedi kardeş vardı. İlki evlendi ve öldü. Çocuğu olmadığından karısını kardeşine bıraktı. 26 İkincisi, üçüncüsü, yedincisine kadar hepsine aynı şey oldu. 27 Hepsinden sonra kadın da öldü. 28 Buna göre diriliş günü kadın bu yedi kardeşten hangisinin karısı olacak? Çünkü hepsi de onunla evlendi.›› 29 İsa onlara, ‹‹Siz Kutsal Yazılar'ı ve Tanrı'nın gücünü bilmediğiniz için yanılıyorsunuz›› diye karşılık verdi. 30 ‹‹Dirilişten sonra insanlar ne evlenir, ne de evlendirilir, gökteki melekler gibidirler. 31 Ölülerin dirilmesi konusuna gelince, Tanrı'nın size bildirdiği şu sözü okumadınız mı? 32 ‹Ben İbrahim'in Tanrısı, İshak'ın Tanrısı ve Yakup'un Tanrısı'yım› diyor. Tanrı ölülerin değil, dirilerin Tanrısı'dır.›› 33 Bunları işiten halk, O'nun öğretişine şaşıp kaldı. 



34 Ferisiler, İsa'nın Sadukiler'i susturduğunu duyunca bir araya toplandılar. (Mar 12:28; Luk 10:25) 35-36 Onlardan biri, bir Kutsal Yasa uzmanı, İsa'yı denemek amacıyla O'na şunu sordu: ‹‹Öğretmenim, Kutsal Yasa'da en önemli buyruk hangisidir?›› 37 İsa ona şu karşılığı verdi: ‹‹ ‹Tanrın Rab'bi bütün yüreğinle, bütün canınla ve bütün aklınla seveceksin.› 38 İşte ilk ve en önemli buyruk budur. 39 İlkine benzeyen ikinci buyruk da şudur: ‹Komşunu kendin gibi seveceksin.› 40 Kutsal Yasa'nın tümü ve peygamberlerin sözleri bu iki buyruğa dayanır.›› 



41-42 Ferisiler toplu haldeyken İsa onlara şunu sordu: ‹‹Mesih'le ilgili olarak ne düşünüyorsunuz? O kimin oğludur?›› Onlar da, ‹‹Davut'un Oğlu›› dediler. (Mar 12:35; Luk 20:41) 43 İsa şöyle dedi: ‹‹O halde nasıl oluyor da Davut, Ruh'tan esinlenerek O'ndan ‹Rab› diye söz ediyor? Şöyle diyor Davut: 44 ‹Rab Rabbim'e dedi ki, Ben düşmanlarını Ayaklarının altına serinceye dek Sağımda otur.› 45 Davut O'ndan Rab diye söz ettiğine göre, O nasıl Davut'un Oğlu olur?›› 46 İsa'ya hiç kimse karşılık veremedi. O günden sonra artık kimse de O'na bir şey sormaya cesaret edemedi.

1 And again Jesus spoke to them in parables, saying, (Mat 13:34) 2 “The kingdom of heaven may be compared to a king who gave a wedding feast for his son, (Luk 14:16; Va 19:7) 3 and sent his servants[1] to call those who were invited to the wedding feast, but they would not come. (Est 6:14; Özd 9:3; Özd 9:5) 4 Again he sent other servants, saying, ‘Tell those who are invited, “See, I have prepared my dinner, my oxen and my fat calves have been slaughtered, and everything is ready. Come to the wedding feast.”’ (Özd 9:2; Mat 21:36; Luk 11:38; Yu 21:12; Yu 21:15) 5 But they paid no attention and went off, one to his farm, another to his business, (İbr 2:3) 6 while the rest seized his servants, treated them shamefully, and killed them. (Mat 21:35; Luk 18:32; Elç 14:5; 1 Se 2:2) 7 The king was angry, and he sent his troops and destroyed those murderers and burned their city. (Mat 21:41; Luk 19:27) 8 Then he said to his servants, ‘The wedding feast is ready, but those invited were not worthy. (Mat 10:11; Luk 20:35; Elç 13:46; Va 3:4) 9 Go therefore to the main roads and invite to the wedding feast as many as you find.’ 10 And those servants went out into the roads and gathered all whom they found, both bad and good. So the wedding hall was filled with guests. (Mat 13:47) 11 “But when the king came in to look at the guests, he saw there a man who had no wedding garment. (Va 19:8; Va 22:14) 12 And he said to him, ‘Friend, how did you get in here without a wedding garment?’ And he was speechless. (Mat 20:13; Mat 26:50) 13 Then the king said to the attendants, ‘Bind him hand and foot and cast him into the outer darkness. In that place there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.’ (Mat 8:12) 14 For many are called, but few are chosen.” (Va 17:14) 



15 Then the Pharisees went and plotted how to entangle him in his words. (Mar 12:13; Luk 11:54; Luk 20:20) 16 And they sent their disciples to him, along with the Herodians, saying, “Teacher, we know that you are true and teach the way of God truthfully, and you do not care about anyone’s opinion, for you are not swayed by appearances.[2] (Mar 2:18; Mar 3:6; Mar 8:15; Yu 3:2; Elç 10:34; Elç 13:10; Elç 18:26) 17 Tell us, then, what you think. Is it lawful to pay taxes to Caesar, or not?” (Mat 17:25; Luk 2:1; Luk 3:1) 18 But Jesus, aware of their malice, said, “Why put me to the test, you hypocrites? (Yu 8:6) 19 Show me the coin for the tax.” And they brought him a denarius.[3] 20 And Jesus said to them, “Whose likeness and inscription is this?” 21 They said, “Caesar’s.” Then he said to them, “Therefore render to Caesar the things that are Caesar’s, and to God the things that are God’s.” (Rom 13:7) 22 When they heard it, they marveled. And they left him and went away. (Mar 12:12) 



23 The same day Sadducees came to him, who say that there is no resurrection, and they asked him a question, (Mat 3:7; Mat 16:1; Mat 22:34; Elç 4:1; Elç 4:2; Elç 5:17; Elç 23:6; Elç 23:8) 24 saying, “Teacher, Moses said, ‘If a man dies having no children, his brother must marry the widow and raise up offspring for his brother.’ (Yas 25:5) 25 Now there were seven brothers among us. The first married and died, and having no offspring left his wife to his brother. 26 So too the second and third, down to the seventh. 27 After them all, the woman died. 28 In the resurrection, therefore, of the seven, whose wife will she be? For they all had her.” 29 But Jesus answered them, “You are wrong, because you know neither the Scriptures nor the power of God. (Yu 20:9; 1 Ko 6:14) 30 For in the resurrection they neither marry nor are given in marriage, but are like angels in heaven. (Mat 24:38; Luk 17:27) 31 And as for the resurrection of the dead, have you not read what was said to you by God: (Mat 21:16) 32 ‘I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob’? He is not God of the dead, but of the living.” (Çık 3:6; Elç 7:32) 33 And when the crowd heard it, they were astonished at his teaching. (Mat 7:28) 



34 But when the Pharisees heard that he had silenced the Sadducees, they gathered together. (Mat 22:23; Mar 12:28) 35 And one of them, a lawyer, asked him a question to test him. (Mat 22:18; Luk 7:30; Luk 10:25) 36 “Teacher, which is the great commandment in the Law?” 37 And he said to him, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. (Yas 6:5; Luk 10:27) 38 This is the great and first commandment. 39 And a second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself. (Lev 19:18; Mat 19:19; 1 Yu 4:21) 40 On these two commandments depend all the Law and the Prophets.” (Mat 7:12; Rom 13:8; Rom 13:10; Gal 5:14) 



41 Now while the Pharisees were gathered together, Jesus asked them a question, (Mat 22:34; Mar 12:35; Luk 20:41) 42 saying, “What do you think about the Christ? Whose son is he?” They said to him, “The son of David.” (Mat 1:1; Mat 1:17) 43 He said to them, “How is it then that David, in the Spirit, calls him Lord, saying, (2 Sa 23:2; Va 1:10; Va 4:2) 44 “‘The Lord said to my Lord, “Sit at my right hand, until I put your enemies under your feet”’? (Mez 110:1; Elç 2:34; 1 Ko 15:25; İbr 1:13; İbr 10:13) 45 If then David calls him Lord, how is he his son?” (Rom 1:3) 46 And no one was able to answer him a word, nor from that day did anyone dare to ask him any more questions. (Mar 12:34; Luk 14:6; Luk 20:40)
