1-2 Bu sırada Yeruşalim'den bazı Ferisiler ve din bilginleri İsa'ya gelip, ‹‹Öğrencilerin neden atalarımızın töresini çiğniyor?›› diye sordular, ‹‹Yemekten önce ellerini yıkamıyorlar.›› (Mar 6:14; Luk 9:7) 3 İsa onlara şu karşılığı verdi: ‹‹Ya siz, neden töreniz uğruna Tanrı buyruğunu çiğniyorsunuz? 4 Çünkü Tanrı şöyle buyurdu: ‹Annene babana saygı göstereceksin›; ‹Annesine ya da babasına söven kesinlikle öldürülecektir.› 5-6 Ama siz, ‹Her kim anne ya da babasına, benden alacağın bütün yardım Tanrı'ya adanmıştır derse, artık babasına saygı göstermek zorunda değildir› diyorsunuz. Böylelikle, töreniz uğruna Tanrı'nın sözünü geçersiz kılmış oluyorsunuz. 7-8 Ey ikiyüzlüler! Yeşaya'nın sizinle ilgili şu peygamberlik sözü ne kadar yerindedir: ‹Bu halk dudaklarıyla beni sayar, Ama yürekleri benden uzak. 9 Bana boşuna taparlar. Çünkü öğrettikleri, sadece insan buyruklarıdır.› ›› 



10 İsa, halkı yanına çağırıp onlara, ‹‹Dinleyin ve şunu belleyin›› dedi. (Mar 7:14) 11 ‹‹Ağızdan giren şey insanı kirletmez. İnsanı kirleten ağızdan çıkandır.›› 12 Bu sırada öğrencileri O'na gelip, ‹‹Biliyor musun?›› dediler, ‹‹Ferisiler bu sözü duyunca gücendiler.›› 13 İsa şu karşılığı verdi: ‹‹Göksel Babam'ın dikmediği her fidan kökünden sökülecektir. 14 Bırakın onları; onlar körlerin kör kılavuzlarıdır. Eğer kör köre kılavuzluk ederse, ikisi de çukura düşer.›› 15 Petrus, ‹‹Bu benzetmeyi bize açıkla›› dedi. 16 ‹‹Siz de mi hâlâ anlamıyorsunuz?›› diye sordu İsa. 17 ‹‹Ağza giren her şeyin mideye indiğini, oradan da helaya atıldığını bilmiyor musunuz? 18 Ne var ki ağızdan çıkan, yürekten kaynaklanır. İnsanı kirleten de budur. 19 Çünkü kötü düşünceler, cinayet, zina, fuhuş, hırsızlık, yalan yere tanıklık ve iftira hep yürekten kaynaklanır. 20 İnsanı kirleten bunlardır. Yıkanmamış ellerle yemek yemek insanı kirletmez.›› 



21 İsa oradan ayrılıp Sur ve Sayda bölgesine geçti. (Mar 7:24) 22 O yöreden Kenanlı bir kadın İsa'ya gelip, ‹‹Ya Rab, ey Davut Oğlu, halime acı! Kızım cine tutuldu, çok kötü durumda›› diye feryat etti. 23 İsa kadına hiçbir karşılık vermedi. Öğrencileri yaklaşıp, ‹‹Sal şunu, gitsin!›› diye rica ettiler. ‹‹Arkamızdan bağırıp duruyor.›› 24 İsa, ‹‹Ben yalnız İsrail halkının kaybolmuş koyunlarına gönderildim›› diye yanıtladı. 25 Kadın ise yaklaşıp, ‹‹Ya Rab, bana yardım et!›› diyerek O'nun önünde yere kapandı. 26 İsa ona, ‹‹Çocukların ekmeğini alıp köpeklere atmak doğru değildir›› dedi. 27 Kadın, ‹‹Haklısın, ya Rab›› dedi. ‹‹Ama köpekler de efendilerinin sofrasından düşen kırıntıları yer.›› 28 O zaman İsa ona şu karşılığı verdi: ‹‹Ey kadın, imanın büyük! Dilediğin gibi olsun.›› Ve kadının kızı o saatte iyileşti. 



29 İsa oradan ayrıldı, Celile Gölü'nün kıyısından geçerek dağa çıkıp oturdu. (Mar 8:1) 30 Yanına büyük bir kalabalık geldi. Beraberlerinde kötürüm, kör, çolak, dilsiz ve daha birçok hasta getirdiler. Hastaları O'nun ayaklarının dibine bıraktılar. O da onları iyileştirdi. 31 Halk, dilsizlerin konuştuğunu, çolakların iyileştiğini, körlerin gördüğünü, kötürümlerin yürüdüğünü görünce şaştı ve İsrail'in Tanrısı'nı yüceltti. 32 İsa öğrencilerini yanına çağırıp, ‹‹Halka acıyorum›› dedi. ‹‹Üç gündür yanımdalar, yiyecek hiçbir şeyleri yok. Onları aç aç evlerine göndermek istemiyorum, yolda bayılabilirler.›› 33 Öğrenciler kendisine, ‹‹Böyle ıssız bir yerde bu kadar kalabalığı doyuracak ekmeği nereden bulalım?›› dediler. 34 İsa, ‹‹Kaç ekmeğiniz var?›› diye sordu. ‹‹Yedi ekmekle birkaç küçük balığımız var›› dediler. 35 Bunun üzerine İsa, halka yere oturmalarını buyurdu. 36 Yedi ekmekle balıkları aldı, şükredip bunları böldü, öğrencilerine verdi. Onlar da halka dağıttılar. 37 Herkes yiyip doydu. Artakalan parçalardan yedi küfe dolusu topladılar. 38 Yemek yiyenlerin sayısı, kadın ve çocuklar hariç, dört bin erkekti. (Mar 7:1) 39 İsa, halkı evlerine gönderdikten sonra tekneye binip Magadan bölgesine geçti.

1 Then Pharisees and scribes came to Jesus from Jerusalem and said, (Mar 3:22; Mar 7:1) 2 “Why do your disciples break the tradition of the elders? For they do not wash their hands when they eat.” (Mat 9:11; Luk 11:38; Gal 1:14; Kol 2:8) 3 He answered them, “And why do you break the commandment of God for the sake of your tradition? 4 For God commanded, ‘Honor your father and your mother,’ and, ‘Whoever reviles father or mother must surely die.’ (Çık 20:12; Çık 21:17) 5 But you say, ‘If anyone tells his father or his mother, “What you would have gained from me is given to God,”[1] 6 he need not honor his father.’ So for the sake of your tradition you have made void the word[2] of God. (Rom 2:23; Gal 3:17) 7 You hypocrites! Well did Isaiah prophesy of you, when he said: (Mat 23:13) 8 “‘This people honors me with their lips, but their heart is far from me; (Yşa 29:13; Hez 33:31) 9 in vain do they worship me, teaching as doctrines the commandments of men.’” (Kol 2:22; Tit 1:14) 



10 And he called the people to him and said to them, “Hear and understand: (Mat 13:51) 11 it is not what goes into the mouth that defiles a person, but what comes out of the mouth; this defiles a person.” (Elç 10:14) 12 Then the disciples came and said to him, “Do you know that the Pharisees were offended when they heard this saying?” (Mat 13:57; Luk 7:23) 13 He answered, “Every plant that my heavenly Father has not planted will be rooted up. (Yşa 60:21; Yşa 61:3; Yu 15:1; 1 Ko 3:9; Yah 1:12) 14 Let them alone; they are blind guides.[3] And if the blind lead the blind, both will fall into a pit.” (Yşa 56:10; Mal 2:8; Mat 23:16; Mat 23:24; Luk 6:39) 15 But Peter said to him, “Explain the parable to us.” (Mat 13:36) 16 And he said, “Are you also still without understanding? (Mat 16:9) 17 Do you not see that whatever goes into the mouth passes into the stomach and is expelled?[4] (1 Ko 6:13) 18 But what comes out of the mouth proceeds from the heart, and this defiles a person. (Mat 12:34; Yak 3:6) 19 For out of the heart come evil thoughts, murder, adultery, sexual immorality, theft, false witness, slander. (Çık 20:13; Mat 5:22; Mat 5:28; Ef 4:31; Kol 3:8; 1 Ti 6:4; Yak 2:4) 20 These are what defile a person. But to eat with unwashed hands does not defile anyone.” (Mar 7:2; Mar 7:5; 1 Ko 6:9) 



21 And Jesus went away from there and withdrew to the district of Tyre and Sidon. (Mar 7:24) 22 And behold, a Canaanite woman from that region came out and was crying, “Have mercy on me, O Lord, Son of David; my daughter is severely oppressed by a demon.” (Yar 10:15; Yar 10:19; Hak 1:30; Mat 9:27) 23 But he did not answer her a word. And his disciples came and begged him, saying, “Send her away, for she is crying out after us.” (Mat 14:15) 24 He answered, “I was sent only to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.” (Mat 10:5; Rom 15:8) 25 But she came and knelt before him, saying, “Lord, help me.” (Mat 8:2) 26 And he answered, “It is not right to take the children’s bread and throw it to the dogs.” (Mat 7:6) 27 She said, “Yes, Lord, yet even the dogs eat the crumbs that fall from their masters’ table.” (Luk 16:21) 28 Then Jesus answered her, “O woman, great is your faith! Be it done for you as you desire.” And her daughter was healed instantly.[5] (Mat 8:13; Mat 9:2; Mat 9:22; Mat 17:18; Yu 4:52) 



29 Jesus went on from there and walked beside the Sea of Galilee. And he went up on the mountain and sat down there. (Mat 4:18; Mat 5:1; Mar 7:31; Yu 6:1) 30 And great crowds came to him, bringing with them the lame, the blind, the crippled, the mute, and many others, and they put them at his feet, and he healed them, (Mat 11:5) 31 so that the crowd wondered, when they saw the mute speaking, the crippled healthy, the lame walking, and the blind seeing. And they glorified the God of Israel. (Yşa 29:23; Mat 9:8; Mat 9:33; Mat 18:8; Mar 9:43; Luk 1:68; Elç 13:17) 



32 Then Jesus called his disciples to him and said, “I have compassion on the crowd because they have been with me now three days and have nothing to eat. And I am unwilling to send them away hungry, lest they faint on the way.” (Mat 9:36; Mat 14:14; Mar 8:1) 33 And the disciples said to him, “Where are we to get enough bread in such a desolate place to feed so great a crowd?” 34 And Jesus said to them, “How many loaves do you have?” They said, “Seven, and a few small fish.” (Mat 16:10) 35 And directing the crowd to sit down on the ground, 36 he took the seven loaves and the fish, and having given thanks he broke them and gave them to the disciples, and the disciples gave them to the crowds. (Mat 26:27; Mar 14:23; Luk 22:17; Luk 22:19; Yu 6:11; Yu 6:23; Elç 27:35; Rom 14:6; 1 Ko 10:30; 1 Ko 11:24; 1 Ko 14:16; 1 Ti 4:3) 37 And they all ate and were satisfied. And they took up seven baskets full of the broken pieces left over. (2 Kr 4:42) 38 Those who ate were four thousand men, besides women and children. 39 And after sending away the crowds, he got into the boat and went to the region of Magadan. (Mar 8:10)
