1 Fısıh denilen Mayasız Ekmek Bayramı yaklaşmıştı. (Mar 12:41) 2 Başkâhinlerle din bilginleri İsa'yı ortadan kaldırmak için bir yol arıyor, ama halktan korkuyorlardı. 3 Şeytan, Onikiler'den biri olup İskariot diye adlandırılan Yahuda'nın yüreğine girdi. 4 Yahuda gitti, başkâhinler ve tapınak koruyucularının komutanlarıyla İsa'yı nasıl ele verebileceğini görüştü. 5 Onlar buna sevindiler ve kendisine para vermeye razı oldular. 6 Bunu kabul eden Yahuda, kalabalığın olmadığı bir zamanda İsa'yı ele vermek için fırsat kollamaya başladı. 



7 Fısıh kurbanının kesilmesi gereken Mayasız Ekmek Günü geldi. (Mat 26:17; Mar 14:12; Yu 13:21; 1 Ko 11:1) 8 İsa, Petrus'la Yuhanna'yı, ‹‹Gidin, Fısıh yemeğini yiyebilmemiz için hazırlık yapın›› diyerek önden gönderdi. 9 O'na, ‹‹Nerede hazırlık yapmamızı istersin?›› diye sordular. 10-11 İsa onlara, ‹‹Bakın›› dedi, ‹‹Kente girdiğinizde karşınıza su testisi taşıyan bir adam çıkacak. Adamı, gideceği eve kadar izleyin ve evin sahibine şöyle deyin: ‹Öğretmen, öğrencilerimle birlikte Fısıh yemeğini yiyeceğim konuk odası nerede? diye soruyor.› 12 Ev sahibi size üst katta, döşenmiş büyük bir oda gösterecek. Orada hazırlık yapın.›› 13 Onlar da gittiler, her şeyi İsa'nın kendilerine söylediği gibi buldular ve Fısıh yemeği için hazırlık yaptılar. 14-15 Yemek saati gelince İsa, elçileriyle birlikte sofraya oturdu ve onlara şöyle dedi: ‹‹Ben acı çekmeden önce bu Fısıh yemeğini sizinle birlikte yemeyi çok arzulamıştım. 16 Size şunu söyleyeyim, Fısıh yemeğini, Tanrı'nın Egemenliği'nde yetkinliğe erişeceği zamana dek, bir daha yemeyeceğim.›› 17 Sonra kâseyi alarak şükretti ve, ‹‹Bunu alın, aranızda paylaşın›› dedi. 18 ‹‹Size şunu söyleyeyim, Tanrı'nın Egemenliği gelene dek, asmanın ürününden bir daha içmeyeceğim.›› 19 Sonra eline ekmek aldı, şükredip ekmeği böldü ve onlara verdi. ‹‹Bu sizin uğrunuza feda edilen bedenimdir. Beni anmak için böyle yapın›› dedi. 20 Aynı şekilde, yemekten sonra kâseyi alıp şöyle dedi: ‹‹Bu kâse, sizin uğrunuza akıtılan kanımla gerçekleşen yeni antlaşmadır. 21 Ama bana ihanet edecek kişinin eli şu anda benimkiyle birlikte sofradadır. 22 İnsanoğlu, belirlenmiş olan yoldan gidiyor. Ama O'na ihanet eden adamın vay haline!›› 23 Elçiler, aralarında bunu kimin yapabileceğini tartışmaya başladılar. 24 Ayrıca aralarında hangisinin en üstün sayılacağı konusunda bir çekişme oldu. 25 İsa onlara, ‹‹Ulusların kralları, kendi uluslarına egemen kesilirler. İleri gelenleri de kendilerine iyiliksever unvanını yakıştırırlar›› dedi. 26 ‹‹Ama siz böyle olmayacaksınız. Aranızda en büyük olan, en küçük gibi olsun; yöneten, hizmet eden gibi olsun. 27 Hangisi daha büyük, sofrada oturan mı, hizmet eden mi? Sofrada oturan değil mi? Oysa ben aranızda hizmet eden biri gibi oldum. 28 Denendiğim zamanlar benimle birlikte dayanmış olanlar sizlersiniz. 29 Babam bana nasıl bir egemenlik verdiyse, ben de size bir egemenlik veriyorum. 30 Öyle ki, egemenliğimde benim soframda yiyip içesiniz ve tahtta oturarak İsrail'in on iki oymağını yargılayasınız. 31 ‹‹Simun, Simun, Şeytan sizleri buğday gibi kalburdan geçirmek için izin almıştır. 32 Ama ben, imanını yitirmeyesin diye senin için dua ettim. Geri döndüğün zaman kardeşlerini güçlendir.›› 33 Simun İsa'ya, ‹‹Ya Rab, ben seninle birlikte zindana da, ölüme de gitmeye hazırım›› dedi. 34 İsa, ‹‹Sana şunu söyleyeyim, Petrus, bu gece horoz ötmeden beni tanıdığını üç kez inkâr edeceksin›› dedi. 35 Sonra İsa onlara, ‹‹Ben sizi kesesiz, torbasız ve çarıksız gönderdiğim zaman, herhangi bir eksiğiniz oldu mu?›› diye sordu. ‹‹Hiçbir eksiğimiz olmadı›› dediler. 36 O da onlara, ‹‹Şimdi ise kesesi olan da, torbası olan da yanına alsın›› dedi. ‹‹Kılıcı olmayan, abasını satıp bir kılıç alsın. 37 Size şunu söyleyeyim, yazılmış olan şu sözün yaşamımda yerine gelmesi gerekiyor: ‹O, suçlularla bir sayıldı.› Gerçekten de benimle ilgili yazılmış olanlar yerine gelmektedir.›› 38 ‹‹Ya Rab, işte burada iki kılıç var›› dediler. O da onlara, ‹‹Yeter!›› dedi. (Mat 26:1; Mar 14:1; Yu 11:45) 



39 İsa dışarı çıktı, her zamanki gibi Zeytin Dağı'na gitti. Öğrenciler de O'nun ardından gittiler. (Mat 26:36; Mar 14:32) 40 Oraya varınca İsa onlara, ‹‹Dua edin ki ayartılmayasınız›› dedi. 41-42 Onlardan bir taş atımı kadar uzaklaştı ve diz çökerek şöyle dua etti: ‹‹Baba, senin isteğine uygunsa, bu kâseyi benden uzaklaştır. Yine de benim değil, senin istediğin olsun.›› 43 Gökten bir melek İsa'ya görünerek O'nu güçlendirdi. 44 Derin bir acı içinde olan İsa daha hararetle dua etti. Teri, toprağa düşen kan damlalarını andırıyordu. 45 İsa duadan kalkıp öğrencilerin yanına dönünce onları üzüntüden uyumuş buldu. 46 Onlara, ‹‹Niçin uyuyorsunuz?›› dedi. ‹‹Kalkıp dua edin ki ayartılmayasınız.›› 



47-48 İsa daha konuşurken bir kalabalık çıkageldi. Onikiler'den biri, Yahuda adındaki kişi, kalabalığa öncülük ediyordu. İsa'yı öpmek üzere yaklaşınca İsa, ‹‹Yahuda›› dedi, ‹‹İnsanoğlu'na bir öpücükle mi ihanet ediyorsun?›› (Mat 26:47; Mar 14:43; Yu 18:3) 49 İsa'nın çevresindekiler olacakları anlayınca, ‹‹Ya Rab, kılıçla vuralım mı?›› dediler. 50 İçlerinden biri başkâhinin kölesine vurarak sağ kulağını uçurdu. 51 Ama İsa, ‹‹Bırakın, yeter!›› dedi, sonra kölenin kulağına dokunarak onu iyileştirdi. 52 İsa, üzerine yürüyen başkâhinlere, tapınak koruyucularının komutanlarına ve ileri gelenlere şöyle dedi: ‹‹Niçin bir haydutmuşum gibi kılıç ve sopalarla geldiniz? 53 Her gün tapınakta sizinle birlikteydim, bana el sürmediniz. Ama bu saat sizindir, karanlığın egemen olduğu saattir.›› 54 İsa'yı tutukladılar, alıp başkâhinin evine götürdüler. Petrus onları uzaktan izliyordu. 55 Avlunun ortasında ateş yakıp çevresinde oturduklarında Petrus da gelip onlarla birlikte oturdu. 56 Bir hizmetçi kız ateşin ışığında oturan Petrus'u gördü. Onu dikkatle süzerek, ‹‹Bu da O'nunla birlikteydi›› dedi. 57 Ama Petrus, ‹‹Ben O'nu tanımıyorum, kadın!›› diye inkâr etti. 58 Biraz sonra onu gören başka biri, ‹‹Sen de onlardansın›› dedi. Petrus, ‹‹Değilim, arkadaş!›› dedi. 59 Yaklaşık bir saat sonra yine bir başkası ısrarla, ‹‹Gerçekten bu da O'nunla birlikteydi›› dedi. ‹‹Çünkü Celileli'dir.›› 60 Petrus, ‹‹Sen ne diyorsun be adam, anlamıyorum!›› dedi. Tam o anda, Petrus daha konuşurken horoz öttü. 61-62 Rab arkasına dönüp Petrus'a baktı. O zaman Petrus, Rab'bin kendisine, ‹‹Bu gece horoz ötmeden beni üç kez inkâr edeceksin›› dediğini hatırladı ve dışarı çıkıp acı acı ağladı. 63 İsa'yı göz altında tutan adamlar O'nunla alay ediyor, O'nu dövüyorlardı. 64 Gözlerini bağlayıp, ‹‹Peygamberliğini göster bakalım, sana vuran kim?›› diye soruyorlardı. 65 Kendisine daha bir sürü küfür yağdırdılar. 



66 Gün doğunca halkın ileri gelenleri, başkâhinler ve din bilginleri toplandılar. İsa, bunlardan oluşan Yüksek Kurul'un önüne çıkarıldı. (Mat 26:59; Mar 14:55; Yu 18:19) 67 O'na, ‹‹Sen Mesih isen, söyle bize›› dediler. İsa onlara şöyle dedi: ‹‹Size söylesem, inanmazsınız. 68 Size soru sorsam, yanıt vermezsiniz. 69 Ne var ki, bundan böyle İnsanoğlu, kudretli Tanrı'nın sağında oturacaktır.›› 70 Onların hepsi, ‹‹Yani, sen Tanrı'nın Oğlu musun?›› diye sordular. O da onlara, ‹‹Söylediğiniz gibi, ben O'yum›› dedi. 71 ‹‹Artık tanıklığa ne ihtiyacımız var?›› dediler. ‹‹İşte kendi ağzından duyduk!››

1 Now the Feast of Unleavened Bread drew near, which is called the Passover. (Mat 26:2; Mar 14:1; Yu 6:4) 2 And the chief priests and the scribes were seeking how to put him to death, for they feared the people. (Mat 21:46; Yu 11:53) 



3 Then Satan entered into Judas called Iscariot, who was of the number of the twelve. (Mat 26:14; Mat 27:3; Mar 14:10; Luk 6:16; Yu 6:71; Yu 12:4; Yu 13:2; Yu 13:27; Yu 13:30; Elç 1:16; Elç 5:3) 4 He went away and conferred with the chief priests and officers how he might betray him to them. (Elç 4:1; Elç 5:24; Elç 5:26) 5 And they were glad, and agreed to give him money. 6 So he consented and sought an opportunity to betray him to them in the absence of a crowd. (Mat 20:18) 



7 Then came the day of Unleavened Bread, on which the Passover lamb had to be sacrificed. (Çık 12:18; Mat 26:17; Mar 14:12; 1 Ko 5:7) 8 So Jesus[1] sent Peter and John, saying, “Go and prepare the Passover for us, that we may eat it.” 9 They said to him, “Where will you have us prepare it?” 10 He said to them, “Behold, when you have entered the city, a man carrying a jar of water will meet you. Follow him into the house that he enters 11 and tell the master of the house, ‘The Teacher says to you, Where is the guest room, where I may eat the Passover with my disciples?’ (Luk 2:7; Yu 11:28) 12 And he will show you a large upper room furnished; prepare it there.” (Elç 1:13) 13 And they went and found it just as he had told them, and they prepared the Passover. (Luk 19:32) 



14 And when the hour came, he reclined at table, and the apostles with him. (Mat 26:20; Mar 14:17) 15 And he said to them, “I have earnestly desired to eat this Passover with you before I suffer. 16 For I tell you I will not eat it[2] until it is fulfilled in the kingdom of God.” (Luk 14:15; Luk 22:30; Va 19:9) 17 And he took a cup, and when he had given thanks he said, “Take this, and divide it among yourselves. (Mat 15:36) 18 For I tell you that from now on I will not drink of the fruit of the vine until the kingdom of God comes.” (Mat 26:29; Mar 14:25; Luk 22:16) 19 And he took bread, and when he had given thanks, he broke it and gave it to them, saying, “This is my body, which is given for you. Do this in remembrance of me.” (Mat 26:26; Mar 14:22; Luk 22:17; Yu 6:53; 1 Ko 10:16; 1 Ko 11:23) 20 And likewise the cup after they had eaten, saying, “This cup that is poured out for you is the new covenant in my blood.[3] (Çık 24:8; Zek 9:11; Luk 22:19; 2 Ko 3:6; İbr 13:20) 21 But behold, the hand of him who betrays me is with me on the table. (Mez 41:9; Mat 26:21; Mar 14:18; Yu 13:18; Yu 13:21) 22 For the Son of Man goes as it has been determined, but woe to that man by whom he is betrayed!” (Elç 2:23) 23 And they began to question one another, which of them it could be who was going to do this. 



24 A dispute also arose among them, as to which of them was to be regarded as the greatest. (Mar 9:34; Luk 9:46) 25 And he said to them, “The kings of the Gentiles exercise lordship over them, and those in authority over them are called benefactors. (Mat 18:1; Mat 20:25; Mar 10:42; 1 Pe 5:3) 26 But not so with you. Rather, let the greatest among you become as the youngest, and the leader as one who serves. (Mat 23:11; Luk 9:48; Luk 22:25) 27 For who is the greater, one who reclines at table or one who serves? Is it not the one who reclines at table? But I am among you as the one who serves. (Mat 20:28; Luk 12:37) 28 “You are those who have stayed with me in my trials, (İbr 2:18; İbr 4:15) 29 and I assign to you, as my Father assigned to me, a kingdom, (Mat 25:34; Mat 28:18; Yu 17:18; Elç 14:22; 2 Ti 2:12; Va 1:6) 30 that you may eat and drink at my table in my kingdom and sit on thrones judging the twelve tribes of Israel. (Mat 8:11; Mat 19:28; Luk 13:29; Luk 14:15; Luk 22:16; Elç 26:7; Yak 1:1; Va 21:12) 



31 “Simon, Simon, behold, Satan demanded to have you,[4] that he might sift you like wheat, (Eyü 1:6; Eyü 2:1; Amo 9:9; Yu 16:32; 1 Ko 5:5; 2 Ko 2:11; 1 Pe 5:8) 32 but I have prayed for you that your faith may not fail. And when you have turned again, strengthen your brothers.” (Mez 51:13; Yu 17:9; Yu 17:11; Yu 17:15; Yu 21:15) 33 Peter[5] said to him, “Lord, I am ready to go with you both to prison and to death.” (Yu 21:19; Elç 12:4) 34 Jesus[6] said, “I tell you, Peter, the rooster will not crow this day, until you deny three times that you know me.” (Mat 26:33; Mar 14:29; Yu 13:37) 



35 And he said to them, “When I sent you out with no moneybag or knapsack or sandals, did you lack anything?” They said, “Nothing.” (Mat 10:9; Mar 6:8; Luk 9:3; Luk 10:4) 36 He said to them, “But now let the one who has a moneybag take it, and likewise a knapsack. And let the one who has no sword sell his cloak and buy one. 37 For I tell you that this Scripture must be fulfilled in me: ‘And he was numbered with the transgressors.’ For what is written about me has its fulfillment.” (Yşa 53:12; Mat 1:22; Luk 13:33; Yu 17:4; Yu 19:30; Elç 1:16) 38 And they said, “Look, Lord, here are two swords.” And he said to them, “It is enough.” (Yas 3:26; Mar 14:41; Luk 22:49) 



39 And he came out and went, as was his custom, to the Mount of Olives, and the disciples followed him. (Mat 21:1; Mat 26:30; Mar 14:26; Luk 21:37; Yu 18:1; Yu 18:2) 40 And when he came to the place, he said to them, “Pray that you may not enter into temptation.” (Mat 6:13; Mat 26:36; Mar 14:32; Yu 18:2; 1 Pe 4:7) 41 And he withdrew from them about a stone’s throw, and knelt down and prayed, (Elç 7:60) 42 saying, “Father, if you are willing, remove this cup from me. Nevertheless, not my will, but yours, be done.” (Mat 6:10; Mat 20:22; İbr 5:7) 43 And there appeared to him an angel from heaven, strengthening him. (Mat 4:11; İbr 1:14) 44 And being in agony he prayed more earnestly; and his sweat became like great drops of blood falling down to the ground.[7] (Luk 22:42) 45 And when he rose from prayer, he came to the disciples and found them sleeping for sorrow, 46 and he said to them, “Why are you sleeping? Rise and pray that you may not enter into temptation.” (Luk 22:40) 



47 While he was still speaking, there came a crowd, and the man called Judas, one of the twelve, was leading them. He drew near to Jesus to kiss him, (Mat 26:47; Mar 14:43; Luk 22:3; Yu 18:3) 48 but Jesus said to him, “Judas, would you betray the Son of Man with a kiss?” 49 And when those who were around him saw what would follow, they said, “Lord, shall we strike with the sword?” (Luk 22:38) 50 And one of them struck the servant[8] of the high priest and cut off his right ear. 51 But Jesus said, “No more of this!” And he touched his ear and healed him. 52 Then Jesus said to the chief priests and officers of the temple and elders, who had come out against him, “Have you come out as against a robber, with swords and clubs? (Luk 22:4) 53 When I was with you day after day in the temple, you did not lay hands on me. But this is your hour, and the power of darkness.” (Mar 14:35; Mar 14:41; Luk 2:46; Yu 8:2; Yu 12:27; Yu 16:4; Yu 18:20; Elç 26:18; Ef 6:12) 



54 Then they seized him and led him away, bringing him into the high priest’s house, and Peter was following at a distance. (Mat 26:57; Mat 26:58; Mar 14:53; Mar 14:54; Yu 18:15) 55 And when they had kindled a fire in the middle of the courtyard and sat down together, Peter sat down among them. (Mat 26:3; Mat 26:69; Mar 14:66; Yu 18:16; Yu 18:25) 56 Then a servant girl, seeing him as he sat in the light and looking closely at him, said, “This man also was with him.” 57 But he denied it, saying, “Woman, I do not know him.” 58 And a little later someone else saw him and said, “You also are one of them.” But Peter said, “Man, I am not.” 59 And after an interval of about an hour still another insisted, saying, “Certainly this man also was with him, for he too is a Galilean.” (Elç 12:15) 60 But Peter said, “Man, I do not know what you are talking about.” And immediately, while he was still speaking, the rooster crowed. 61 And the Lord turned and looked at Peter. And Peter remembered the saying of the Lord, how he had said to him, “Before the rooster crows today, you will deny me three times.” (Mar 10:21; Luk 22:34; Elç 3:13) 62 And he went out and wept bitterly. 



63 Now the men who were holding Jesus in custody were mocking him as they beat him. (Mat 26:67; Mar 14:65; Yu 18:22) 64 They also blindfolded him and kept asking him, “Prophesy! Who is it that struck you?” (Luk 7:39; Luk 22:63) 65 And they said many other things against him, blaspheming him. (Mat 27:39) 



66 When day came, the assembly of the elders of the people gathered together, both chief priests and scribes. And they led him away to their council, and they said, (Mat 5:22; Mat 26:63; Mat 27:1; Mar 14:61; Mar 15:1; Luk 22:67; Yu 18:19; Yu 18:28; Elç 22:5) 67 “If you are the Christ, tell us.” But he said to them, “If I tell you, you will not believe, (Mat 1:17; Yu 10:24) 68 and if I ask you, you will not answer. 69 But from now on the Son of Man shall be seated at the right hand of the power of God.” (Mar 16:19; Elç 7:56; İbr 1:3) 70 So they all said, “Are you the Son of God, then?” And he said to them, “You say that I am.” (Mat 14:33; Mat 26:25; Mat 27:11; Mar 15:2; Luk 23:3) 71 Then they said, “What further testimony do we need? We have heard it ourselves from his own lips.”
