1 Tanrı'nın isteğiyle Mesih İsa'nın elçisi atanan ben Pavlus'tan Efes'te bulunan kutsallara, Mesih İsa'ya ait olan sadıklara selam! 2 Babamız Tanrı'dan ve Rab İsa Mesih'ten sizlere lütuf ve esenlik olsun. 



3 Bizi Mesih'te her ruhsal kutsamayla göksel yerlerde kutsamış olan Rabbimiz İsa Mesih'in Babası Tanrı'ya övgüler olsun. 4 O kendi önünde sevgide kutsal ve kusursuz olmamız için dünyanın kuruluşundan önce bizi Mesih'te seçti. 5 Kendi isteği ve iyi amacı uyarınca İsa Mesih aracılığıyla kendisine oğullar olalım diye bizi önceden belirledi. 6 Öyle ki, sevgili Oğlu'nda bize bağışladığı yüce lütfu övülsün. 7-8 Tam bir bilgelik ve anlayışla üzerimize yağdırdığı lütfunun zenginliği sayesinde Mesih'in kanı aracılığıyla Mesih'te kurtuluşa, suçlarımızın bağışlanmasına kavuştuk. 9 Tanrı sır olan isteğini, Mesih'te edindiği iyi amaç uyarınca bize açıkladı. 10 Zaman dolunca gerçekleştireceği bu tasarıya göre, yerdeki ve gökteki her şeyi Mesih'te birleştirecek. 11 Her şeyi kendi isteği doğrultusunda düzenleyen Tanrı'nın amacı uyarınca önceden belirlenip Mesih'te seçildik. 12 Öyle ki, Mesih'e ilk umut bağlayan bizler, O'nun yüceliğinin övülmesi için yaşayalım. 13 Gerçeğin bildirisini, kurtuluşunuzun Müjdesi'ni duyup O'na iman ettiğinizde, siz de vaat edilen Kutsal Ruh'la O'nda mühürlendiniz. 14 Ruh, Tanrı'nın yüceliğinin övülmesi için Tanrı'ya ait olanların kurtuluşuna dek mirasımızın güvencesidir. 



15-16 Bunun için, Rab İsa'ya iman ettiğinizi ve bütün kutsalları sevdiğinizi duyduğumdan beri ben de sizin için sürekli şükrediyor, sizi dualarımda hep anıyorum. 17 Rabbimiz İsa Mesih'in Tanrısı, yüce Baba, kendisini tanımanız için size bilgelik ve vahiy ruhunu versin diye dua ediyorum. 18-20 O'nun çağrısından doğan umudu, kutsallara verdiği mirasın yüce zenginliğini ve iman eden bizler için etkin olan kudretinin aşkın büyüklüğünü anlamanız için, yüreklerinizin gözleri aydınlansın diye dua ediyorum. Bu kudret, Tanrı'nın, Mesih'i ölümden diriltirken ve göksel yerlerde sağında oturturken O'nda sergilediği üstün güçle aynı etkinliktedir. 21 Tanrı O'nu bütün yönetimlerin, hükümranlıkların, güç ve egemenliklerin, yalnız bu çağda değil, gelecek çağda da anılacak bütün adların çok üstüne çıkardı. 22 Her şeyi ayakları altına sererek O'na bağımlı kıldı. O'nu her şeyin üzerinde baş olmak üzere kiliseye verdi. 23 Kilise O'nun bedenidir, her yönden her şeyi dolduranın doluluğudur.

1 Paul, an apostle of Christ Jesus by the will of God, To the saints who are in Ephesus, and are faithful[1] in Christ Jesus: (1 Ko 1:1; 2 Ko 1:1; Kol 1:2) 2 Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. (Rom 1:7) 



3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in Christ with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places, (Rom 15:6; 2 Ko 1:3; Ef 1:20; Ef 2:6; Ef 3:10; Ef 6:12; 1 Pe 1:3) 4 even as he chose us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and blameless before him. In love (Yas 7:6; Yas 26:18; Mat 13:35; Ef 2:10; Ef 5:27; Kol 1:22; 1 Se 4:7; 2 Se 2:13; 2 Ti 1:9; Yak 2:5; 1 Pe 1:2) 5 he predestined us[2] for adoption to himself as sons through Jesus Christ, according to the purpose of his will, (Luk 2:14; Luk 12:32; Rom 8:15; Rom 8:29; Ef 1:9; Ef 1:11; İbr 2:4) 6 to the praise of his glorious grace, with which he has blessed us in the Beloved. (Mat 3:17; Yu 3:35; Yu 10:17; Ef 1:12; Ef 1:14; Kol 1:13) 7 In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of his grace, (Elç 2:38; Elç 20:28; Rom 2:4; Rom 3:24; 1 Ko 1:30; Ef 3:8; Ef 3:16; Ef 4:30; Kol 1:14; Kol 1:27) 8 which he lavished upon us, in all wisdom and insight 9 making known[3] to us the mystery of his will, according to his purpose, which he set forth in Christ (Rom 8:28; Rom 9:11; Rom 16:25; Ef 1:5; Ef 1:11) 10 as a plan for the fullness of time, to unite all things in him, things in heaven and things on earth. (Mar 1:15; Ef 3:15; Flp 2:9; Kol 1:16; Kol 1:20) 11 In him we have obtained an inheritance, having been predestined according to the purpose of him who works all things according to the counsel of his will, (Yas 4:20; Yas 32:9; Elç 20:27; Rom 8:28; Ef 1:5; Ef 1:14; Ef 3:11; Va 4:11) 12 so that we who were the first to hope in Christ might be to the praise of his glory. (Ef 1:6; Ef 1:14; Flp 1:11) 13 In him you also, when you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation, and believed in him, were sealed with the promised Holy Spirit, (Elç 1:4; Elç 13:26; Elç 15:7; 2 Ko 6:7; Ef 4:30; Kol 1:5; 2 Ti 2:15) 14 who is the guarantee[4] of our inheritance until we acquire possession of it,[5] to the praise of his glory. 15 For this reason, because I have heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus and your love[6] toward all the saints, (Rom 1:8; Kol 1:4; Flm 1:5) 16 I do not cease to give thanks for you, remembering you in my prayers, (Rom 1:9; Kol 1:9; 2 Ti 1:3) 17 that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and of revelation in the knowledge of him, (Rom 15:6; Kol 1:9) 18 having the eyes of your hearts enlightened, that you may know what is the hope to which he has called you, what are the riches of his glorious inheritance in the saints, (Elç 26:18; Ef 1:7; Ef 2:12; Ef 3:8; Ef 3:16; Ef 4:4; Kol 1:27; İbr 6:4; İbr 10:32; Va 3:17) 19 and what is the immeasurable greatness of his power toward us who believe, according to the working of his great might (Dan 4:30; Ef 3:7; Ef 6:10; Flp 3:21; Kol 1:29; Kol 2:12) 20 that he worked in Christ when he raised him from the dead and seated him at his right hand in the heavenly places, (Mar 16:19; Elç 2:24; Elç 2:33; Ef 1:3; 1 Pe 3:22) 21 far above all rule and authority and power and dominion, and above every name that is named, not only in this age but also in the one to come. (Mat 12:32; Yu 3:31; 1 Ko 15:24; Ef 3:15; Ef 4:10; Flp 2:9; Kol 2:10; İbr 1:4) 22 And he put all things under his feet and gave him as head over all things to the church, (Mez 8:6; 1 Ko 11:3; 1 Ko 15:27; Ef 4:15; Ef 5:23; Kol 1:18; Kol 2:10; Kol 2:19) 23 which is his body, the fullness of him who fills all in all.
