Godlessness in the Last Days
1But understand this, that in the last days there will come times of difficulty. (1 Ti 4:1)2For people will be lovers of self, lovers of money, proud, arrogant, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, (Luk 16:14; Rom 1:30; Flp 2:21; 1 Ti 6:10)3heartless, unappeasable, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not loving good, (Rom 1:31; Tit 1:8)4treacherous, reckless, swollen with conceit, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, (Flp 3:19; 1 Ti 3:6; 1 Ti 6:4)5having the appearance of godliness, but denying its power. Avoid such people. (1 Ti 5:8; 1 Ti 6:20; Tit 1:14)6For among them are those who creep into households and capture weak women, burdened with sins and led astray by various passions, (Tit 1:11)7always learning and never able to arrive at a knowledge of the truth.
