1Por esta razón yo, Pablo, prisionero de Cristo Jesús por el bien de vosotros los gentiles, me arrodillo en oración.[1]2Sin duda os habéis enterado del plan de la gracia de Dios que él me encomendó para vosotros,3es decir, el misterio que me dio a conocer por revelación, como ya os escribí brevemente.4Al leer esto, podréis daros cuenta de que comprendo el misterio de Cristo.5Ese misterio, que en otras generaciones no se dio a conocer a los seres humanos, ahora se ha revelado por el Espíritu a los santos apóstoles y profetas de Dios;6es decir, que los gentiles son, junto con Israel, beneficiarios de la misma herencia, miembros de un mismo cuerpo y participantes igualmente de la promesa en Cristo Jesús mediante el evangelio.7De este evangelio llegué a ser servidor. Este fue el regalo que Dios me dio por su gracia, conforme a su poder eficaz.8Aunque soy el más insignificante de todos los santos, recibí esta gracia de predicar a las naciones las incalculables riquezas de Cristo,9y de hacer entender a todos la realización del plan de Dios, el misterio que desde los tiempos eternos se mantuvo oculto en Dios, creador de todas las cosas.10El fin de todo esto es que la sabiduría de Dios, en toda su diversidad, se dé a conocer ahora, por medio de la iglesia, a los poderes y autoridades en las regiones celestiales,11conforme a su eterno propósito realizado en Cristo Jesús nuestro Señor.12En él, mediante la fe, disfrutamos de libertad y confianza para acercarnos a Dios.13Así que os pido que no os desaniméis a causa de lo que sufro por vosotros, ya que estos sufrimientos míos son para vosotros un honor.

The Mystery of the Gospel Revealed
1For this reason I, Paul, a prisoner of Christ Jesus on behalf of you Gentiles— (Apg 23,18; Eph 3,13; Eph 4,1; Eph 6,20; Phil 1,7; Kol 1,24)2assuming that you have heard of the stewardship of God’s grace that was given to me for you, (Apg 11,23; Röm 1,5; Eph 1,10; Eph 3,7; Eph 4,7; Kol 1,25; 1Tim 1,4)3how the mystery was made known to me by revelation, as I have written briefly. (Dan 2,29; Apg 22,17; Apg 22,21; Apg 26,16; Röm 16,25; 2Kor 12,1; Eph 1,9)4When you read this, you can perceive my insight into the mystery of Christ, (2Kor 11,6; Kol 4,3)5which was not made known to the sons of men in other generations as it has now been revealed to his holy apostles and prophets by the Spirit.6This mystery is[1] that the Gentiles are fellow heirs, members of the same body, and partakers of the promise in Christ Jesus through the gospel. (Gal 3,29; Eph 2,16; Eph 5,7)7Of this gospel I was made a minister according to the gift of God’s grace, which was given me by the working of his power. 14For this reason I bow my knees before the Father,15from whom every family[3] in heaven and on earth is named, (Eph 1,10; Eph 1,21)16that according to the riches of his glory he may grant you to be strengthened with power through his Spirit in your inner being, (Röm 7,22; 1Kor 16,13; Eph 3,8; Eph 6,10; Phil 4,13; Kol 1,11)17so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith—that you, being rooted and grounded in love, (Eph 2,22; Kol 1,23; Kol 2,7)18may have strength to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth, (Hi 11,8; Joh 1,5; Röm 8,39)19and to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled with all the fullness of God. (Eph 1,23; Phil 4,7; Kol 2,10)20Now to him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us, (Röm 16,25; 2Kor 9,8; Eph 3,7; Jud 1,24)21to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever.
