Psalm 24

New International Version

Of David. A psalm.

1 The earth is the Lord’s, and everything in it, the world, and all who live in it; 

2 for he founded it on the seas and established it on the waters. 

3 Who may ascend the mountain of the Lord? Who may stand in his holy place? 

4 The one who has clean hands and a pure heart, who does not trust in an idol or swear by a false god. 

5 They will receive blessing from the Lord and vindication from God their Saviour. 

6 Such is the generation of those who seek him, who seek your face, God of Jacob. 

7 Lift up your heads, you gates; be lifted up, you ancient doors, that the King of glory may come in. 

8 Who is this King of glory? The Lord strong and mighty, the Lord mighty in battle. 

9 Lift up your heads, you gates; lift them up, you ancient doors, that the King of glory may come in. 

10 Who is he, this King of glory? The Lord Almighty – he is the King of glory.

1 Ein Psalm Davids. Dem HERRN gehört die Erde und was sie erfüllt, der Erdkreis und seine Bewohner; (De 10:14; Ne 9:6; Ro 11:36; 1Co 10:26; Col 1:16) 

2 denn Er hat ihn gegründet über den Meeren und befestigt über den Strömen. (Job 38:4; 2Pe 3:5) 

3 Wer darf auf den Berg des HERRN steigen? Und wer darf an seiner heiligen Stätte stehen? (Ps 15:1) 

4 Wer unschuldige Hände hat und ein reines Herz, wer seine Seele nicht auf Trug richtet und nicht falsch schwört. (Ps 15:2; Ps 26:6; Ps 72:14; Ps 73:14; Ps 119:37; Jer 5:2; Jer 7:9; Zec 5:3; Mal 3:5; Mt 5:8; Heb 10:22; Jas 4:8) 

5 Der wird Segen empfangen von dem HERRN und Gerechtigkeit von dem Gott seines Heils. (Ps 129:8; Ps 133:1; Isa 33:15; Isa 48:18; Mt 6:33; Ro 3:28) 

6 Dies ist das Geschlecht derer, die nach ihm fragen, die dein Angesicht suchen — das ist Jakob! (Sela.) (Ge 32:24; Ex 18:15; 1Sa 23:2; 1Sa 23:4; 2Sa 2:1; 2Sa 5:19; 2Sa 5:23; Ps 27:8; Ps 40:17; Ps 105:4; Ho 12:5) 

7 Hebt eure Häupter empor, ihr Tore, und hebt euch, ihr ewigen Pforten, damit der König der Herrlichkeit einziehe! (2Sa 6:15; Ps 118:19; Mal 3:1; Re 3:20; Re 21:12) 

8 Wer ist dieser König der Herrlichkeit? Es ist der HERR, der Starke und Mächtige, der HERR, der Held im Streit! (Ps 46:9; 1Co 2:8; Re 19:11) 

9 Hebt eure Häupter empor, ihr Tore, ja, hebt [eure Häupter], ihr ewigen Pforten, damit der König der Herrlichkeit einziehe! (Ac 1:9; Eph 4:8; 1Pe 3:22) 

10 Wer ist denn dieser König der Herrlichkeit? Der HERR der Heerscharen, er ist der König der Herrlichkeit! (Sela.) (Isa 6:5; Mal 1:14; Mal 3:17)
