1Praise the Lord.[1] Sing to the Lord a new song, his praise in the assembly of his faithful people.2Let Israel rejoice in their Maker; let the people of Zion be glad in their King.3Let them praise his name with dancing and make music to him with tambourine and harp.4For the Lord takes delight in his people; he crowns the humble with victory.5Let his faithful people rejoice in this honour and sing for joy on their beds.6May the praise of God be in their mouths and a double-edged sword in their hands,7to inflict vengeance on the nations and punishment on the peoples,8to bind their kings with fetters, their nobles with shackles of iron,9to carry out the sentence written against them – this is the glory of all his faithful people. سرود پرستش
1خداوند را سپاس باد! برای خداوند سرودی تازه بخوانيد و در جمع مؤمنان، او را ستايش كنيد!2ای اسرائيل، به خاطر وجود آفرينندهٔ خود شاد باش؛ ای مردم اورشليم، به سبب پادشاه خود شادی كنيد!3با نغمهٔ بربط و عود، رقص كنان نام خداوند را سپاس گوييد.4زيرا خداوند از قوم خود راضی است و فروتنان را نجات میبخشد.5قوم خداوند به سبب اين افتخار بزرگ شاد باشند و تمام شب در بسترهای خود با شادمانی سرود بخوانند.6-7ای قوم خداوند، با صدای بلند او را ستايش كنيد و شمشيرهای دو دم را به دست گرفته، از قومها و قبايل خدانشناس انتقام بگيريد.8پادشاهان و رؤسای آنها را به زنجير بكشيد9و حكم خداوند را در مورد مجازات آنها اجرا كنيد. اين است پيروزی و افتخار قوم او! خداوند را سپاس باد!
