1 إِلَى مَتَى يَا رَبُّ تَنْسَانِي؟ أَإِلَى الأَبَدِ؟ إِلَى مَتَى تَحْجُبُ وَجْهَكَ عَنِّي؟ 2 إِلَى مَتَى أَرْعَى هُمُوماً فِي نَفْسِي وَحُزْناً فِي قَلْبِي كُلَّ يَوْمٍ؟ إِلَى مَتَى يَتَشَامَخُ عَدُوِّي عَلَيَّ؟ 3 انْظُرْ إِلَيَّ أَيُّهَا الرَّبُّ إِلَهِى وَاسْتَجِبْ لِي. أَنِرْ عَيْنَيَّ لِئَلّا أَنَامَ نَوْمَةَ الْمَوْتِ، 4 فَيَقُولَ عَدُوِّي: قَدْ قَهَرْتُهُ؛ وَيَبْتَهِجَ خُصُومِي بِسُقُوطِي. 5 غَيْرَ أَنِّي تَوَكَّلْتُ عَلَى رَحْمَتِكَ، فَيَبْتَهِجُ قَلْبِي حَقّاً بِخَلاصِكَ. 6 أُرَنِّمُ لِلرَّبِّ لأَنَّهُ غَمَرَنِي بِإِحْسَانِهِ الْعَمِيمِ.

1 To the choirmaster. A Psalm of David. How long, O Lord? Will you forget me forever? How long will you hide your face from me? (أي 13:24; مز 10:12; مز 44:24; مز 74:19; مز 74:23; مز 79:5; مز 89:46; مرا 5:20; رؤ 6:10) 2 How long must I take counsel in my soul and have sorrow in my heart all the day? How long shall my enemy be exalted over me? (مز 77:6) 3 Consider and answer me, O Lord my God; light up my eyes, lest I sleep the sleep of death, (1صم 14:27; عز 9:8; مز 5:1; مز 19:8; مز 119:153; أم 29:13; إر 51:39; أف 1:18) 4 lest my enemy say, “I have prevailed over him,” lest my foes rejoice because I am shaken. (تث 32:27; مز 10:6) 5 But I have trusted in your steadfast love; my heart shall rejoice in your salvation. (مز 9:14; مز 11:1) 6 I will sing to the Lord, because he has dealt bountifully with me.
