O Dio, ascolta il mio grido, sii attento alla mia preghiera.2Dall’estremità della terra io grido a te con cuore affranto; conducimi tu alla rocca che è troppo alta per me;3poiché tu sei stato un rifugio per me, una torre fortificata davanti al nemico.4Abiterò nella tua tenda per sempre, mi riparerò all’ombra delle tue ali. [Pausa]5Poiché tu, o Dio, hai esaudito i miei voti, mi hai dato l’eredità di chi teme il tuo nome.6Aggiungi altri giorni alla vita del re, durino i suoi anni per molte generazioni!7Sieda sul trono in presenza di Dio per sempre! Ordina alla bontà e alla verità di custodirlo;8così loderò il tuo nome per sempre e adempirò ogni giorno le promesse che ti ho fatte.
