Hoffnung für alle

Kommt, es kostet nichts!

1 Der Herr ruft: »Ihr habt Durst? Kommt her, hier gibt es Wasser! Auch wer kein Geld hat, kann kommen. Nehmt euch Brot und esst! Hierher! Hier gibt es Wein und Milch. Bedient euch, es kostet nichts! 2 Warum gebt ihr euer sauer verdientes Geld aus für Brot, das nichts taugt, und für Nahrung, die euch nicht sättigt? Hört doch auf mich und tut, was ich sage, dann habt ihr es gut! Ihr dürft köstliche Speisen genießen und euch daran satt essen. 3 Hört mir zu und kommt her! Ja, nehmt meine Worte an, dann werdet ihr leben! Ich will einen Bund für alle Zeiten mit euch schließen und euch die Gnade erweisen, die ich David versprochen habe. 4 Ich habe ihn dazu bestimmt, vielen Völkern meine Wahrheit zu bezeugen, und habe ihn als Herrscher über sie eingesetzt. 5 Auch ihr sollt Menschen aus anderen Völkern zu euch rufen, die ihr nicht kennt und die euch nicht kennen. Sie werden zu euch eilen, weil ich, der HERR, euer Gott bin. Ja, sie kommen, um mich kennen zu lernen, den heiligen Gott Israels. Denn ich bin es, der euch Israeliten zu Ehren bringt.«

Mein Wort bleibt nicht ohne Wirkung

6 Sucht den HERRN, solange er sich finden lässt! Betet zu ihm, solange er euch nahe ist! 7 Hast du dich gegen Gott aufgelehnt? Bist du eigene Wege gegangen und eigenen Plänen gefolgt? Dann hör auf damit! Kehr deinem alten Leben den Rücken und komm zum HERRN! Er wird sich über dich erbarmen, denn unser Gott ist gern zum Vergeben bereit. 8 Er sagt: »Meine Gedanken sind nicht eure Gedanken, und meine Wege sind nicht eure Wege. 9 Denn wie der Himmel die Erde überragt, so sind auch meine Wege viel höher als eure Wege und meine Gedanken als eure Gedanken. 10 Denkt an den Regen und den Schnee! Sie fallen vom Himmel und bleiben nicht ohne Wirkung: Sie tränken die Erde und machen sie fruchtbar; alles sprießt und wächst. So bekommt der Bauer wieder Samen für die nächste Aussaat, und er hat genügend Brot zu essen. 11 Genauso ist mein Wort: Es bleibt nicht ohne Wirkung, sondern erreicht, was ich will, und führt das aus, was ich ihm aufgetragen habe. 12 Ihr werdet voller Freude in die Freiheit hinausziehen und wohlbehütet euren Weg gehen. Berge und Hügel brechen in Jubel aus, und die Bäume am Weg klatschen in die Hände. 13 Anstelle der Dornenbüsche wachsen Zypressen, und wo heute Brennnesseln wuchern, schießen Myrtensträucher empor. Dadurch wird mein Name überall bekannt. Mit eurer Erlösung setze ich für immer ein Zeichen, das nicht mehr aus der Welt zu schaffen ist.«

The Lord invites thirsty people to come to him

1 ‘Come, all you who are thirsty. Come and drink the water I offer to you. You who do not have any money, come. Buy and eat the corn I give you. Come and buy wine and milk. You will not have to pay anything for it. 2 Why spend money on what is not food? Why work for what does not satisfy you? Listen carefully to me. Then you will eat what is good. You will enjoy the richest food there is. 3 Listen and come to me. Pay attention to me. Then you will live. I will make a covenant with you that will last for ever. I will give you my faithful love. I promised it to David. 4 I made him a witness to the nations. He became a ruler and commander over them. 5 You too will send for nations you do not know. Even though you do not know them, they will come running to you. That is what I will do. I am the LORD your God. I am the Holy One of Israel. I have honoured you.’ 6 Turn to the LORD before it’s too late. Call out to him while he’s still ready to help you. 7 Let those who are evil stop doing evil things. And let them quit thinking evil thoughts. Let them turn to the LORD. The LORD will show them his tender love. Let them turn to our God. He is always ready to forgive. 8 ‘My thoughts are not like your thoughts. And your ways are not like my ways,’ announces the LORD. 9 ‘The heavens are higher than the earth. And my ways are higher than your ways. My thoughts are higher than your thoughts. 10 The rain and the snow come down from the sky. They do not return to it without watering the earth. They make plants come up and grow. The plants produce seeds for farmers. They also produce food for people to eat. 11 The words I speak are like that. They will not return to me without producing results. They will accomplish what I want them to. They will do exactly what I sent them to do. 12 ‘My people, you will go out of Babylon with joy. You will be led out of it in peace. The mountains and hills will burst into song as you go. And all the trees in the fields will clap their hands. 13 Juniper trees will grow where there used to be bushes that had thorns on them. And myrtle trees will grow where there used to be thorns. That will bring me great fame. It will be a lasting reminder of what I can do. It will stand for ever.’
