1Ein Loblied Davids.
Ich will dich erheben, meinen Gott und König,
ich will deinen Namen preisen auf immer und ewig.2Jeden Tag will ich dich preisen
und deinen Namen loben auf immer und ewig. (Ps 34,2; Ps 68,20)3Groß ist der HERR und hoch zu loben,
unerforschlich ist seine Größe. (Ps 95,3)4Geschlecht um Geschlecht rühme deine Werke,
deine machtvollen Taten sollen sie künden. (Ps 78,4)5Den herrlichen Glanz deiner Hoheit
und deine Wundertaten will ich besingen.6Von der Macht deiner Furcht erregenden Taten sollen sie reden,
von deinen Großtaten will ich erzählen.7Sie sollen die Erinnerung an deine große Güte wecken
und über deine Gerechtigkeit jubeln.8Der HERR ist gnädig und barmherzig,
langmütig und reich an Huld. (Ps 116,5)9Der HERR ist gut zu allen,
sein Erbarmen waltet über all seinen Werken. (Ps 103,13; Weis 11,24)10Danken sollen dir, HERR, all deine Werke,
deine Frommen sollen dich preisen. (Ps 103,22)11Von der Herrlichkeit deines Königtums sollen sie reden,
von deiner Macht sollen sie sprechen, (Ps 24,7)12um den Menschen bekannt zu machen seine machtvollen Taten
und die glanzvolle Herrlichkeit seines Königtums.13Dein Königtum ist ein Königtum aller Zeiten,
von Geschlecht zu Geschlecht währt deine Herrschaft.[1]14Der HERR stützt alle, die fallen,
er richtet alle auf, die gebeugt sind. (Ps 94,18; Ps 146,8)15Aller Augen warten auf dich
und du gibst ihnen ihre Speise zur rechten Zeit. (Ps 104,27; Ps 136,25)16Du tust deine Hand auf
und sättigst alles, was lebt, mit Wohlgefallen. (Mt 6,25)17Gerecht ist der HERR auf all seinen Wegen
und getreu in all seinen Werken. (5Mo 32,4)18Nahe ist der HERR allen, die ihn rufen,
allen, die ihn aufrichtig rufen. (5Mo 4,7; Jes 55,6; Jes 58,9; Jer 29,13)19Denen, die ihn fürchten, erweist er Wohlgefallen,
ihr Schreien hört er und rettet sie. (Ps 34,18; Spr 10,24; Joh 9,31)20Der HERR behütet alle, die ihn lieben,
doch alle Frevler vernichtet er. (Ri 5,31)21Das Lob des HERRN spreche mein Mund,/
alles Fleisch preise seinen heiligen Namen

A psalm of praise. Of David.
1I will exalt you, my God the King; I will praise your name for ever and ever.2Every day I will praise you and extol your name for ever and ever.3Great is the Lord and most worthy of praise; his greatness no-one can fathom.4One generation commends your works to another; they tell of your mighty acts.5They speak of the glorious splendour of your majesty – and I will meditate on your wonderful works.[1]6They tell of the power of your awesome works – and I will proclaim your great deeds.7They celebrate your abundant goodness and joyfully sing of your righteousness.8The Lord is gracious and compassionate, slow to anger and rich in love.9The Lord is good to all; he has compassion on all he has made.10All your works praise you, Lord; your faithful people extol you.11They tell of the glory of your kingdom and speak of your might,12so that all people may know of your mighty acts and the glorious splendour of your kingdom.13Your kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and your dominion endures through all generations. The Lord is trustworthy in all he promises and faithful in all he does.[2]14The Lord upholds all who fall and lifts up all who are bowed down.15The eyes of all look to you, and you give them their food at the proper time.16You open your hand and satisfy the desires of every living thing.17The Lord is righteous in all his ways and faithful in all he does.18The Lord is near to all who call on him, to all who call on him in truth.19He fulfils the desires of those who fear him; he hears their cry and saves them.20The Lord watches over all who love him, but all the wicked he will destroy.21My mouth will speak in praise of the Lord. Let every creature praise his holy name for ever and ever.
