Lügen ist ihre Lust.
Mit dem Mund segnen sie,

nur Trug die Menschenkinder.
Sie schnellen empor auf der Waage,

verlasst euch nicht auf Raub!
Wenn der Reichtum wächst,

zweierlei hab ich gehört:
Ja, die Macht ist bei Gott (Hi 40,5)13und bei dir, mein Herr, ist die Huld.

1To the choirmaster: according to Jeduthun. A Psalm of David. For God alone my soul waits in silence; from him comes my salvation. (Ps 33,20; Ps 37,7; Ps 39,1)2He alone is my rock and my salvation, my fortress; I shall not be greatly shaken. (Ps 9,9; Ps 10,6; Ps 18,2)3How long will all of you attack a man to batter him, like a leaning wall, a tottering fence? (Jes 30,13)4They only plan to thrust him down from his high position. They take pleasure in falsehood. They bless with their mouths, but inwardly they curse. (Hi 13,11; Ps 28,3)5For God alone, O my soul, wait in silence, for my hope is from him. (Ps 62,1)6He only is my rock and my salvation, my fortress; I shall not be shaken. (Ps 62,2)7On God rests my salvation and my glory; my mighty rock, my refuge is God.
