1 Ein Lied. Ein Psalm. Von den Korachitern. 2 Groß ist der HERR und hoch zu loben in der Stadt unseres Gottes. (Ps 95,3; Ps 96,4; Ps 145,3) 3 Sein heiliger Berg ragt herrlich empor; er ist die Freude der ganzen Erde. Der Berg Zion liegt weit im Norden; er ist die Stadt des großen Königs. (Ps 50,2; Ps 78,68; Jes 14,13; Kla 2,15) 4 Gott ist in ihren Palästen, als sichere Burg erwiesen. (Ps 46,6) 5 Denn siehe: Könige traten zusammen, gemeinsam rückten sie näher. (Ri 5,19) 6 Sie sahen auf, da erstarrten sie; sie waren bestürzt und flohen. 7 Dort packte sie Zittern wie Wehen eine Gebärende. (2Mo 15,14) 8 Mit Sturm aus dem Osten zerbrichst du die Schiffe von Tarschisch. (Jes 2,16) 9 Wie wir es gehört, so haben wir es gesehen / in der Stadt des HERRN der Heerscharen, der Stadt unsres Gottes. Gott macht sie fest auf ewig. [Sela] 10 Wir haben, Gott, deine Huld bedacht inmitten deines Tempels. 11 Wie dein Name, Gott, / so reicht dein Ruhm bis an die Enden der Erde; deine Rechte ist voll von Gerechtigkeit. (Ps 113,3; Mal 1,11) 12 Der Berg Zion freue sich, die Töchter Judas sollen über deine Urteile jubeln. (Ps 97,8) 13 Umkreist den Zion, umschreitet ihn, zählt seine Türme! (Ps 122,3; Jes 26,1) 14 Betrachtet seine Wälle, / geht in seinen Palästen umher, damit ihr einem späteren Geschlecht erzählen könnt: (Ps 22,31) 15 Ja, das ist Gott, unser Gott / für immer und ewig. Über das Sterben hinaus wird er selbst uns leiten. (Ps 102,28)

1 A Song. A Psalm of the Sons of Korah. Great is the Lord and greatly to be praised in the city of our God! His holy mountain, (Ps 2,6; Ps 42,1; Ps 46,1; Ps 46,4; Ps 87,1; Ps 96,4; Ps 145,3; Jes 2,3; Mi 4,1; Sach 8,3) 2 beautiful in elevation, is the joy of all the earth, Mount Zion, in the far north, the city of the great King. (Ps 50,2; Kla 2,15; Hes 20,6; Mt 5,35) 3 Within her citadels God has made himself known as a fortress. 4 For behold, the kings assembled; they came on together. (2Sam 10,6) 5 As soon as they saw it, they were astounded; they were in panic; they took to flight. 6 Trembling took hold of them there, anguish as of a woman in labor. (2Mo 15,15; Jes 13,8; Hos 13,13) 7 By the east wind you shattered the ships of Tarshish. (1Kön 10,22; 1Kön 22,48; Jer 18,17; Hes 27,26) 8 As we have heard, so have we seen in the city of the Lord of hosts, in the city of our God, which God will establish forever. (Ps 48,1; Ps 87,5; Jes 2,2; Mi 4,1) 9 We have thought on your steadfast love, O God, in the midst of your temple. (Ps 26,3; Ps 40,10) 10 As your name, O God, so your praise reaches to the ends of the earth. Your right hand is filled with righteousness. (2Mo 34,5; 5Mo 28,58; Ps 22,27; Ps 113,3; Mal 1,11; Mal 1,14) 11 Let Mount Zion be glad! Let the daughters of Judah rejoice because of your judgments! (Ps 97,8) 12 Walk about Zion, go around her, number her towers, 13 consider well her ramparts, go through her citadels, that you may tell the next generation (Ps 78,4; Ps 122,7) 14 that this is God, our God forever and ever. He will guide us forever.[1] (Ps 23,3)
