1 Ein Psalm Davids. Bringt dar dem HERRN, ihr Himmlischen, bringt dar dem HERRN Ehre und Macht! (Ps 103,20) 2 Bringt dar dem HERRN die Ehre seines Namens, werft euch nieder vor dem HERRN in heiliger Majestät! (Ps 96,8) 3 Die Stimme des HERRN über den Wassern: Der Gott der Ehre hat gedonnert, / der HERR über gewaltigen Wassern. (Hi 37,4) 4 Die Stimme des HERRN voller Kraft, die Stimme des HERRN voll Majestät. 5 Die Stimme des HERRN bricht Zedern, der HERR hat zerbrochen die Zedern des Libanon. 6 Er ließ den Libanon hüpfen wie einen Jungstier, wie einen Wildstier den Sirjon. (5Mo 3,8; Ps 114,4) 7 Die Stimme des HERRN sprüht flammendes Feuer, / 8 die Stimme des HERRN lässt die Wüste beben, beben lässt der HERR die Wüste von Kadesch. 9 Die Stimme des HERRN lässt Hirschkühe kreißen, / sie reißt ganze Wälder kahl. In seinem Palast ruft alles: Ehre! 10 Der HERR thront über der Flut, der HERR thront als König in Ewigkeit. (Ps 24,7; Bar 3,3) 11 Der HERR gebe Macht seinem Volk. Der HERR segne sein Volk mit Frieden. (Ps 28,9)

1 A Psalm of David. Ascribe to the Lord, O heavenly beings,[1] ascribe to the Lord glory and strength. (1Chr 16,28; Ps 68,34; Ps 96,7) 2 Ascribe to the Lord the glory due his name; worship the Lord in the splendor of holiness.[2] (2Mo 28,2; 1Chr 16,29; Ps 110,3) 3 The voice of the Lord is over the waters; the God of glory thunders, the Lord, over many waters. (Hi 37,4; Ps 18,11) 4 The voice of the Lord is powerful; the voice of the Lord is full of majesty. (Ps 68,33) 5 The voice of the Lord breaks the cedars; the Lord breaks the cedars of Lebanon. (Ri 9,15; Ps 104,16) 6 He makes Lebanon to skip like a calf, and Sirion like a young wild ox. (4Mo 23,22; 5Mo 3,9; Ps 114,4; Ps 114,6) 7 The voice of the Lord flashes forth flames of fire. 8 The voice of the Lord shakes the wilderness; the Lord shakes the wilderness of Kadesh. (4Mo 13,26) 9 The voice of the Lord makes the deer give birth[3] and strips the forests bare, and in his temple all cry, “Glory!” (Hi 39,1) 10 The Lord sits enthroned over the flood; the Lord sits enthroned as king forever. (1Mo 6,17; Ps 10,16) 11 May the Lord give strength to his people! May the Lord bless[4] his people with peace! (Ps 68,35; Jes 40,29; Phil 4,7)
