Die Rechenschaft des Petrus vor der Gemeinde in Jerusalem
1Die Apostel und die Brüder in Judäa hörten, dass auch die Heiden das Wort Gottes angenommen hatten.2Als nun Petrus nach Jerusalem hinaufkam, hielten ihm die gläubig gewordenen Juden vor:3Du bist bei Unbeschnittenen eingekehrt und hast mit ihnen gegessen. (Apg 10,28; Gal 2,12)4Da begann Petrus, ihnen der Reihe nach zu berichten:5Ich war in der Stadt Joppe und betete; da hatte ich in einer Verzückung eine Vision: Eine Art Gefäß, das aussah wie ein großes Leinentuch, das, an den vier Ecken gehalten, auf die Erde heruntergelassen wurde, senkte sich aus dem Himmel und es kam bis zu mir herab. (Apg 10,9)6Als ich genauer hinschaute, sah und betrachtete ich darin die Vierfüßler der Erde, die wilden Tiere, die Kriechtiere und die Vögel des Himmels.7Ich hörte auch eine Stimme, die zu mir sagte: Steh auf, Petrus, schlachte und iss!8Ich antwortete: Niemals, Herr! Noch nie ist etwas Unheiliges oder Unreines in meinen Mund gekommen.9Doch zum zweiten Mal kam eine Stimme vom Himmel; sie sagte: Was Gott für rein erklärt hat, nenne du nicht unrein!10Das geschah dreimal, dann wurde alles wieder in den Himmel hinaufgezogen.11Und siehe, gleich darauf standen drei Männer vor dem Haus, in dem wir wohnten; sie waren aus Cäsarea zu mir geschickt worden.12Der Geist aber sagte mir, ich solle ohne Bedenken mit ihnen gehen. Auch diese sechs Brüder zogen mit mir und wir kamen in das Haus jenes Mannes.13Er erzählte uns, wie er in seinem Haus den Engel stehen sah, der zu ihm sagte: Schick jemanden nach Joppe und lass Simon, der Petrus genannt wird, holen!14Er wird dir Worte sagen, durch die du mit deinem ganzen Haus gerettet werden wirst.15Als ich zu reden begann, kam der Heilige Geist auf sie herab, wie am Anfang auf uns. (Apg 2,3)16Da erinnerte ich mich an das Wort des Herrn: Johannes hat mit Wasser getauft, ihr aber werdet mit dem Heiligen Geist getauft werden. (Lk 3,16; Apg 1,5)17Wenn nun Gott ihnen die gleiche Gabe verliehen hat wie uns, als wir zum Glauben an Jesus Christus, den Herrn, gekommen sind: Wer bin ich, dass ich Gott hindern könnte?18Als sie das hörten, beruhigten sie sich, priesen Gott und sagten: Gott hat also auch den Heiden die Umkehr zum Leben geschenkt. Die Entstehung einer christlichen Gemeinde in Antiochia
19Bei der Verfolgung, die wegen Stephanus entstanden war, kamen die Versprengten bis nach Phönizien, Zypern und Antiochia; doch verkündeten sie das Wort nur den Juden. (Apg 8,1)20Einige aber von ihnen, die aus Zypern und Kyrene stammten, verkündeten, als sie nach Antiochia kamen, auch den Griechen das Evangelium von Jesus, dem Herrn.21Die Hand des Herrn war mit ihnen und viele wurden gläubig und bekehrten sich zum Herrn.22Die Nachricht davon kam der Gemeinde von Jerusalem zu Ohren und sie schickten Barnabas nach Antiochia. (Apg 4,36)23Als er ankam und die Gnade Gottes sah, freute er sich und ermahnte alle, dem Herrn treu zu bleiben, wie sie es sich im Herzen vorgenommen hatten.24Denn er war ein trefflicher Mann, erfüllt vom Heiligen Geist und von Glauben. So wurde für den Herrn viel Volk hinzugewonnen.25Barnabas aber zog nach Tarsus, um Saulus aufzusuchen. (Apg 9,30)26Er fand ihn und nahm ihn nach Antiochia mit. Dort wirkten sie miteinander ein volles Jahr in der Gemeinde und lehrten eine große Zahl von Menschen. In Antiochia nannte man die Jünger zum ersten Mal Christen.[1] (Apg 11,30; Apg 12,25; Apg 13,2; Apg 26,28; Gal 2,1; 1Petr 4,16)
Die Spende der Gemeinde von Antiochia für die Christen in Judäa
27In jenen Tagen kamen von Jerusalem Propheten nach Antiochia hinab.[2] (1Kor 12,28; 1Kor 14,3; Eph 2,20)28Einer von ihnen namens Agabus trat auf und weissagte durch den Geist, eine große Hungersnot werde über die ganze Erde kommen. Sie brach dann unter Claudius aus.[3] (Apg 21,10)29Sie beschlossen, jeder von den Jüngern solle nach seinem Vermögen den Brüdern, die in Judäa wohnen, etwas zur Unterstützung senden. (Röm 15,26; 1Kor 16,1; 2Kor 8,3; 2Kor 9,2; Gal 2,10)30Das taten sie auch und schickten ihre Gaben durch Barnabas und Saulus an die Ältesten.

Peter Reports to the Church
1Now the apostles and the brothers[1] who were throughout Judea heard that the Gentiles also had received the word of God. (Joh 21,23; Apg 11,29)2So when Peter went up to Jerusalem, the circumcision party[2] criticized him, saying, (Apg 10,45; Röm 4,12; Gal 2,12; Kol 4,11; Tit 1,10)3“You went to uncircumcised men and ate with them.” (Lk 15,2; Apg 10,28; Gal 2,12; Gal 2,14)4But Peter began and explained it to them in order:5“I was in the city of Joppa praying, and in a trance I saw a vision, something like a great sheet descending, being let down from heaven by its four corners, and it came down to me. (Apg 10,9)6Looking at it closely, I observed animals and beasts of prey and reptiles and birds of the air.7And I heard a voice saying to me, ‘Rise, Peter; kill and eat.’8But I said, ‘By no means, Lord; for nothing common or unclean has ever entered my mouth.’9But the voice answered a second time from heaven, ‘What God has made clean, do not call common.’10This happened three times, and all was drawn up again into heaven.11And behold, at that very moment three men arrived at the house in which we were, sent to me from Caesarea.12And the Spirit told me to go with them, making no distinction. The Church in Antioch
19Now those who were scattered because of the persecution that arose over Stephen traveled as far as Phoenicia and Cyprus and Antioch, speaking the word to no one except Jews. (Apg 8,1; Apg 8,4)20But there were some of them, men of Cyprus and Cyrene, who on coming to Antioch spoke to the Hellenists[3] also, preaching the Lord Jesus. (Joh 7,35; Apg 5,42)21And the hand of the Lord was with them, and a great number who believed turned to the Lord. For a whole year they met with the church and taught a great many people. And in Antioch the disciples were first called Christians.
