Psalm 23

1 A Psalm of David. The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. (Ps 34:9; Ps 78:52; Ps 80:1; Isa 40:11; Jer 31:10; Eze 34:11; Eze 34:23; Mt 6:33; Joh 10:11; Heb 13:20; 1Pe 2:25; 1Pe 5:4)2 He makes me lie down in green pastures. He leads me beside still waters.[1] (Eze 34:14; Joh 10:9)3 He restores my soul. He leads me in paths of righteousness[2] for his name’s sake. 1 الرَّبُّ رَاعِيَّ فَلَسْتُ أَحْتَاجُ إِلَى شَيْءٍ.2 فِي مَرَاعٍ خَضْرَاءَ يُرْبِضُنِي، وَإِلَى مِيَاهٍ هَادِئَةٍ يَقُودُنِي.3 يُنْعِشُ نَفْسِي وَيُرْشِدُنِي إِلَى طُرُقِ الْبِرِّ إِكْرَاماً لاِسْمِهِ.4 حَتَّى إِذَا اجْتَزْتُ وَادِي ظِلالِ الْمَوْتِ، لَا أَخَافُ سُوءاً لأَنَّكَ تُرَافِقُنِي. عَصَاكَ وَعُكَّازُكَ هُمَا مَعِي يُشَدِّدَانِ عَزِيمَتِي.5 تَبْسُطُ أَمَامِي مَأْدُبَةً عَلَى مَرْأَىً مِنْ أَعْدَائِي. مَسَحْتَ بِالزَّيْتِ رَأْسِي، وَأَفَضْتَ كَأْسِي.6 إِنَّمَا خَيْرٌ وَرَحْمَةٌ يَتْبَعَانِنِي طَوَالَ حَيَاتِي، وَيَكُونُ بَيْتُ الرَّبِّ مَسْكَناً لِي مَدَى الأَيَّامِ.
