1 Be not envious of evil men, nor desire to be with them, (Ps 37:1; Pr 1:15; Pr 24:19) 2 for their hearts devise violence, and their lips talk of trouble. (Ps 10:7; Isa 59:13) 3 By wisdom a house is built, and by understanding it is established; (Pr 14:1) 4 by knowledge the rooms are filled with all precious and pleasant riches. 18 lest the Lord see it and be displeased, and turn away his anger from him. 19 Fret not yourself because of evildoers, and be not envious of the wicked, (Ps 37:1; Pr 24:1; Jer 12:1) 20 for the evil man has no future; the lamp of the wicked will be put out. (Pr 15:23) 27 Richte erst draußen deine Arbeit aus und bearbeite deinen Acker; danach gründe dein Haus. 28 Sei nicht ein falscher Zeuge wider deinen Nächsten und betrüge nicht mit deinem Munde. 29 Sprich nicht: »Wie einer mir tut, so will ich ihm auch tun und einem jeglichen sein Tun vergelten.« (Pr 20:22) 30 Ich ging am Acker des Faulen entlang und am Weinberg des Toren, 31 und siehe, lauter Nesseln waren darauf, und er stand voll Disteln, und die Mauer war eingefallen. 32 Als ich das sah, nahm ich’s zu Herzen, ich schaute und lernte daraus: 33 Noch ein wenig schlafen und ein wenig schlummern und ein wenig die Hände zusammentun, dass du ruhst, (Pr 6:9) 34 so wird deine Armut kommen wie ein Räuber und dein Mangel wie ein gewappneter Mann.
