1Si pues fuisteis resucitados juntamente con el Mesías, buscad las cosas de arriba, donde está el Mesías sentado a la diestra de Dios.2Poned la mira en las cosas de arriba, no en las de la tierra.3Porque ya habéis muerto, y vuestra vida está escondida con el Mesías en Dios.4Cuando el Mesías, vuestra vida, sea manifestado, entonces también vosotros seréis manifestados con Él en gloria.5Haced morir pues lo terrenal en vuestros miembros: Fornicación, impureza, pasión desordenada, deseo malo, y la avaricia, que es idolatría;6cosas por las cuales viene la ira de Dios,7en las que también vosotros anduvisteis en un tiempo, cuando vivíais en ellas.8Pero ahora, desechad también vosotros todas estas cosas: Ira, enojo, malicia, maledicencia, lenguaje obsceno de vuestra boca.

9No mintáis los unos a los otros, ya que os habéis desvestido del viejo hombre con sus prácticas,10y revestido del nuevo, el cual, conforme a la imagen del que lo creó, se va renovando hasta un conocimiento pleno,11donde no hay griego ni judío, circuncisión o incircuncisión, bárbaro, escita, esclavo o libre, sino que el Mesías es todo y en todos.12Por tanto, vestíos como escogidos de Dios, santos y amados, de sentimientos entrañables de compasión, de bondad, de humildad, de mansedumbre, de longanimidad;13soportándoos los unos a los otros, y perdonándoos los unos a los otros, si alguno tiene queja contra otro. Como el Señor en verdad os perdonó, así también vosotros.14Y sobre todas estas cosas, el amor, que es el vínculo perfecto.15Y la paz del Mesías sea árbitro en vuestros corazones, a la cual ciertamente fuisteis llamados en un solo cuerpo; y sed agradecidos.16La palabra del Mesías viva en vosotros en abundancia, con toda sabiduría, enseñándoos y amonestándoos los unos a los otros con salmos, e himnos, y cánticos espirituales, cantando con gratitud en vuestros corazones a Dios.17Y todo lo que hagáis, de palabra o de obra, hacedlo todo en el nombre del Señor Jesús, dando gracias a Dios Padre por medio de Él.

18Esposas, someteos a los esposos, como conviene en el Señor.19Esposos, amad a vuestras esposas y no seáis ásperos con ellas.20Hijos, obedeced a vuestros progenitores en todo, porque esto es aceptable ante el Señor.21Padres, no exasperéis a vuestros hijos, para que no se desalienten.22Siervos, obedeced en todo a vuestros señores según la carne, no sirviendo al ojo, como los que agradan a hombres, sino con sinceridad de corazón, temiendo al Señor.23Cuanto hagáis, hacedlo de corazón, como para el Señor, y no para los hombres,24sabiendo que del Señor recibiréis la recompensa de la herencia: al Señor, el Mesías, servís.25Pero el que obra con injusticia, recibirá conforme a la injusticia que obró, porque no hay acepción de personas.
