La Bible du Semeur



1 L’Eternel règne. ╵Les peuples tremblent. Il siège sur des chérubins. ╵La terre est ébranlée. 2 L’Eternel est grand dans Sion. Il est haut élevé ╵bien au-dessus de tous les peuples. 3 Qu’ils te célèbrent, ╵toi qui es grand et redoutable! Oui, il est saint! 4 Que l’on célèbre la puissance ╵du Roi qui aime la justice! C’est toi qui as établi l’équité, et qui as déterminé en Jacob ╵le droit et la justice. 5 Proclamez la grandeur ╵de l’Eternel, lui notre Dieu, prosternez-vous devant son marchepied, car il est saint. 6 Moïse avec Aaron étaient de ses prêtres[1], et Samuel était de ceux qui l’invoquaient[2]. Oui, ils invoquaient l’Eternel, ╵et lui les exauçait. (Ex 17:11; Ex 32:11; Ex 32:30; Lv 8:1; Nb 12:13; Nb 14:13; Nb 17:11; Nb 21:7; 1S 7:8; 1S 12:16; Ps 106:23; Jr 15:1) 7 De la colonne de nuée, ╵il parlait avec eux[3], ils ont observé ses commandements, et la règle qu’il leur avait donnée. (Ex 13:21; Ex 33:7; Nb 12:5) 8 Eternel notre Dieu, ╵tu les as exaucés et tu fus pour eux un Dieu qui pardonne, mais tu les as châtiés ╵pour leurs actes coupables[4]. (Nb 20:12; Nb 20:24; Nb 27:14; Dt 3:25) 9 Proclamez la grandeur ╵de l’Eternel, lui notre Dieu, prosternez-vous ╵en direction de son saint mont, car il est saint, ╵l’Eternel, notre Dieu!

1 The Lord reigns; let the peoples tremble! He sits enthroned upon the cherubim; let the earth quake! (1Ch 16:31; Ps 80:1; Ps 93:1; Ps 96:9; Is 24:19) 2 The Lord is great in Zion; he is exalted over all the peoples. (Ps 92:8; Ps 93:4; Ps 113:4; Is 24:23) 3 Let them praise your great and awesome name! Holy is he! (Dt 28:58; Jos 24:19; Ps 111:9; Is 6:3; Ap 15:4) 4 The King in his might loves justice.[1] You have established equity; you have executed justice and righteousness in Jacob. (Jb 36:5; Ps 11:7; Ps 99:1; Is 61:8) 5 Exalt the Lord our God; worship at his footstool! Holy is he! (Ex 15:2; 1Ch 28:2; Ps 99:3; Ps 107:32; Ps 118:28; Ps 132:7; Is 25:1; Is 60:13; La 2:1; Ez 43:7) 6 Moses and Aaron were among his priests, Samuel also was among those who called upon his name. They called to the Lord, and he answered them. (Ex 14:15; Ex 17:11; Ex 24:6; Ex 32:30; Ex 40:22; Lv 8:1; Nb 12:13; Nb 16:48; Dt 9:18; 1S 7:9; 1S 12:18; Ps 105:1; Ps 106:23; Jr 15:1) 7 In the pillar of the cloud he spoke to them; they kept his testimonies and the statute that he gave them. (Ex 33:9; Nb 12:5; Ps 105:28) 8 O Lord our God, you answered them; you were a forgiving God to them, but an avenger of their wrongdoings. (Ex 32:35; Nb 14:20; Nb 20:12; Dt 9:20; Jr 46:28) 9 Exalt the Lord our God, and worship at his holy mountain; for the Lord our God is holy! (Ps 2:6)
