La Bible du Semeur



1 Au chef de chœur. Un psaume de David, à chanter avec accompagnement de harpes à huit cordes[1]. 2 Eternel, mon Dieu, ╵malgré ta colère, ╵ne me punis pas et, dans ton courroux, ╵ne me châtie pas! 3 Eternel, ╵aie pitié de moi, ╵car je suis sans force. O Eternel, guéris-moi, ╵car de tout mon être, ╵vois, je suis dans l’épouvante. 4 Je suis en plein désarroi. Et toi, Eternel, ╵quand donc interviendras-tu? 5 Ne voudrais-tu pas ╵revenir vers moi ╵pour me délivrer? Dans ton amour, sauve-moi! 6 Car ceux qui sont morts ╵ne sont plus capables ╵de parler de toi! Qui peut te louer ╵au séjour des morts? 7 Or, à force de gémir, ╵je suis épuisé, et, durant la nuit, ╵sur mon lit, je pleure; ma couche est trempée, ╵inondée de larmes. 8 Mes yeux sont usés, ╵tant j’ai de chagrin, ╵ils n’en peuvent plus. Ce sont tous mes ennemis ╵qui en sont la cause. 9 Retirez-vous tous, ╵artisans du mal! L’Eternel entend mes pleurs[2]. (Mt 7:23; Lc 13:27) 10 L’Eternel exauce ╵mes supplications. L’Eternel accueille ╵ma prière. 11 Tous mes ennemis ╵seront dans la honte ╵et dans l’épouvante, ils reculeront ╵soudain, tout honteux.

1 To the choirmaster: with stringed instruments; according to The Sheminith.[1] A Psalm of David. O Lord, rebuke me not in your anger, nor discipline me in your wrath. (1Ch 15:21; Ps 38:1; Ps 94:12; Ps 118:18; Pr 3:11; Jr 30:11; Jr 46:28; He 12:3) 2 Be gracious to me, O Lord, for I am languishing; heal me, O Lord, for my bones are troubled. (Ps 30:2; Ps 31:10; Ps 41:4; Ps 103:3) 3 My soul also is greatly troubled. But you, O Lord—how long? (Ps 90:13; Jn 12:27) 4 Turn, O Lord, deliver my life; save me for the sake of your steadfast love. 5 For in death there is no remembrance of you; in Sheol who will give you praise? (Ps 30:9; Ps 88:10; Ps 115:17; Is 38:18) 6 I am weary with my moaning; every night I flood my bed with tears; I drench my couch with my weeping. (Ps 38:9; Ps 69:3) 7 My eye wastes away because of grief; it grows weak because of all my foes. (Jb 17:7; Ps 31:9; Ps 38:10; Ps 88:9; La 2:11; La 5:17) 8 Depart from me, all you workers of evil, for the Lord has heard the sound of my weeping. (Ps 3:4; Ps 94:4; Ps 119:115; Ps 139:19; Mt 7:23; Mt 25:41; Lc 13:27) 9 The Lord has heard my plea; the Lord accepts my prayer. (1R 8:38; Ps 55:1) 10 All my enemies shall be ashamed and greatly troubled; they shall turn back and be put to shame in a moment. (Ps 40:14; Ps 56:9)
