La Bible du Semeur



1 Louez l’Eternel! Que, de tout mon être, ╵je loue l’Eternel! 2 Je veux louer l’Eternel ╵tant que je vivrai, je célébrerai ╵mon Dieu en musique ╵tout au long ╵de mon existence. 3 Ne placez pas votre foi ╵dans les puissants de ce monde ni dans des humains ╵incapables de sauver! 4 Dès qu’ils ont poussé ╵leur dernier soupir, ╵ils retournent à la terre et, au même instant, ╵leurs projets s’évanouissent. 5 Heureux l’homme ╵qui reçoit son aide ╵du Dieu de Jacob, et dont l’espérance ╵est dans l’Eternel son Dieu. 6 Car l’Eternel a créé ╵le ciel et la terre ainsi que la mer, ╵avec tout ce qui s’y trouve[1]. Il reste à jamais fidèle. (Ex 20:11; Ac 4:24; Ac 14:15) 7 Il fait droit aux opprimés; il nourrit les affamés; l’Eternel relâche ╵ceux qui sont emprisonnés. 8 L’Eternel rend la vue aux aveugles. L’Eternel relève ╵celui qui fléchit. L’Eternel aime les justes. 9 L’Eternel protège ╵l’étranger, il est le soutien ╵de la veuve ╵et de l’orphelin. Mais il fait dévier ╵le chemin qu’empruntent les méchants. 10 L’Eternel est Roi ╵pour l’éternité, lui qui est ton Dieu, ╵ô Sion, ╵de génération ╵en génération. Louez l’Eternel!

1 Praise the Lord! Praise the Lord, O my soul! (Ps 135:1) 2 I will praise the Lord as long as I live; I will sing praises to my God while I have my being. (Ps 63:4; Ps 104:33; Ps 145:2) 3 Put not your trust in princes, in a son of man, in whom there is no salvation. (Ps 60:11; Ps 108:12; Ps 118:8; Ps 118:9; Is 2:22; Jr 17:5) 4 When his breath departs, he returns to the earth; on that very day his plans perish. (Jb 10:9; Jb 34:14; Ps 104:29; Ec 12:7) 5 Blessed is he whose help is the God of Jacob, whose hope is in the Lord his God, (Ps 2:12; Ps 119:116; Ps 144:15) 6 who made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that is in them, who keeps faith forever; (Ps 100:5; Ps 115:15; Ps 117:2) 7 who executes justice for the oppressed, who gives food to the hungry. The Lord sets the prisoners free; (Ps 68:6; Ps 103:6; Ps 105:20; Ps 107:9; Ps 145:15; Is 61:1) 8 the Lord opens the eyes of the blind. The Lord lifts up those who are bowed down; the Lord loves the righteous. (Ps 11:7; Ps 145:14; Ps 147:6; Mt 9:30; Jn 9:7) 9 The Lord watches over the sojourners; he upholds the widow and the fatherless, but the way of the wicked he brings to ruin. (Ex 22:21; Ex 22:22; Dt 10:18; Ps 10:14; Ps 147:6) 10 The Lord will reign forever, your God, O Zion, to all generations. Praise the Lord! (Ps 10:16; Ps 146:1)
