1 Cantique pour la route vers la demeure de l’Eternel[1]. Du fond de la détresse ╵je t’invoque, Eternel. (Ps 120:1) 2 Seigneur, écoute-moi! Sois attentif à mes supplications! 3 O Eternel, ╵si tu retiens nos fautes, Seigneur, qui donc subsistera? 4 Mais le pardon ╵se trouve auprès de toi afin que l’on te craigne. 5 Moi, je m’attends à l’Eternel, ╵oui, je m’attends à lui, ╵de tout mon être, j’ai confiance en sa parole. 6 Je guette le Seigneur bien plus que les guetteurs ╵attendent le matin, oui, plus que les guetteurs ╵attendent le matin. 7 O Israël, ╵place ta confiance ╵en l’Eternel, car c’est auprès de lui ╵que l’on trouve l’amour: la délivrance abonde ╵auprès de lui, 8 et c’est lui qui délivrera ╵Israël de tous ses péchés[2]. (Mt 1:21; Tt 2:14)

1 A Song of Ascents. Out of the depths I cry to you, O Lord! (Ps 69:2; Ps 69:14; Ps 120:1; La 3:55; Jon 2:2) 2 O Lord, hear my voice! Let your ears be attentive to the voice of my pleas for mercy! (2Ch 6:40; Ps 86:6; Ps 140:6) 3 If you, O Lord, should mark iniquities, O Lord, who could stand? (Jb 10:14; Ps 76:7; Ps 90:8; Ps 143:2; Am 2:15; Na 1:6; Ml 3:2; Ep 6:13; Ap 6:17) 4 But with you there is forgiveness, that you may be feared. (1R 8:39; Ps 86:5; Ps 86:15; Ps 130:7; Is 55:7; Jr 33:8; Da 9:9; Rm 2:4) 5 I wait for the Lord, my soul waits, and in his word I hope; (Ps 33:20; Ps 40:1; Ps 119:74; Ps 119:81; Is 8:17; Is 26:8) 6 my soul waits for the Lord more than watchmen for the morning, more than watchmen for the morning. (Ps 5:3; Ps 63:6; Ps 119:147; Ps 123:2) 7 O Israel, hope in the Lord! For with the Lord there is steadfast love, and with him is plentiful redemption.
