La Bible du Semeur

Mon secours vient de l’Eternel

1 Cantique pour la route vers la demeure de l’Eternel. Je lève les yeux vers les monts: d’où le secours me viendra-t-il? (Ps 120:1) 

2 Mon secours vient de l’Eternel qui a fait le ciel et la terre. 

3 Il te gardera des faux pas, celui qui te protège ╵ne sommeillera pas. 

4 Non, jamais il ne dort, ╵jamais il ne sommeille, celui qui protège Israël. 

5 L’Eternel est ton protecteur, l’Eternel est à ton côté ╵comme une ombre qui te protège. 

6 Le soleil ne te frappera donc pas le jour, ni la lune pendant la nuit. 

7 L’Eternel te gardera de tout mal: il gardera ta vie. 

8 L’Eternel veillera sur toi ╵pendant tes allées et venues, dès maintenant et à jamais.

My Help Comes from the Lord

1 A Song of Ascents. I lift up my eyes to the hills. From where does my help come? (Ps 48:1; Ps 87:1; Ps 120:1; Ps 123:1; Ps 133:3; Jr 3:23) 

2 My help comes from the Lord, who made heaven and earth. (Ps 20:2; Ps 115:15; Ps 124:8) 

3 He will not let your foot be moved; he who keeps you will not slumber. (1S 2:9; Ps 41:2; Ps 66:9; Ps 97:10; Ps 127:1; Pr 3:23; Pr 3:26; Is 27:3) 

4 Behold, he who keeps Israel will neither slumber nor sleep. 

5 The Lord is your keeper; the Lord is your shade on your right hand. (Ps 16:8; Ps 91:1) 

6 The sun shall not strike you by day, nor the moon by night. (2R 4:19; Is 49:10; Jon 4:8; Ap 7:16) 

7 The Lord will keep you from all evil; he will keep your life. (Ps 121:3) 

8 The Lord will keep your going out and your coming in from this time forth and forevermore. (Nb 27:17; Dt 28:6; Dt 31:2; 1S 29:6; 1R 3:7; Ac 1:21)
