Car ceux, parmi les tiens, ╵qui ont été tués ╵ne sont pas tombés par l’épée et ne sont pas morts au combat.3Tes officiers se sont enfuis ensemble, ils ont été faits prisonniers ╵par les archers; tous ceux qu’on a trouvés ╵ont été pris ensemble comme ils fuyaient au loin.4C’est pourquoi je vous dis: ╵Détournez-vous de moi et laissez-moi pleurer amèrement; ne vous empressez pas ╵de venir me réconforter au sujet du ravage ╵qui a atteint ╵la communauté de mon peuple.5Car c’est un jour de trouble, de destruction ╵et de désolation qu’envoie l’Eternel, ╵le Seigneur des armées célestes, dans la vallée de la Vision. 15Voici ce que dit l’Eternel, ╵le Seigneur des armées célestes: Va-t’en trouver cet intendant Shebna, le maître du palais.16Dis-lui: Qu’as-tu ici, ╵comme propriété ou comme parenté, pour que tu te creuses un tombeau oui, que tu te creuses un tombeau ╵en ce lieu-ci, sur les hauteurs, et que dans le roc tu te tailles ╵une demeure?17Voici que l’Eternel ╵va te lancer au loin, d’un geste de la main[5], ╵il va t’empaqueter,18et t’envoyer rouler, ╵rouler comme une balle, vers une vaste plaine. C’est là que tu mourras, ╵c’est là que s’en iront ╵les chars qui font ta gloire, ô toi, qui es la honte ╵du palais de ton maître!19Je te renverrai de ton poste, oui, je t’arracherai ╵à ta situation.

20Et il arrivera, en ce jour-là, que je ferai appel à mon serviteur Eliaqim, le fils de Hilqiya[6]. 1The oracle concerning the valley of vision. What do you mean that you have gone up, all of you, to the housetops, (Is 13:1; Is 22:5; Jr 21:13; Jl 3:12; Jl 3:14)2you who are full of shoutings, tumultuous city, exultant town? Your slain are not slain with the sword or dead in battle. (Is 32:13; La 4:9)3All your leaders have fled together; without the bow they were captured. All of you who were found were captured, though they had fled far away. (Is 1:10)4Therefore I said: “Look away from me; let me weep bitter tears; do not labor to comfort me concerning the destruction of the daughter of my people.” (Jr 9:1; Mi 1:8)5For the Lord God of hosts has a day of tumult and trampling and confusion in the valley of vision, a battering down of walls and a shouting to the mountains.
