Jonah 1:7

English Standard Version

7 And they said to one another, “Come, let us cast lots, that we may know on whose account this evil has come upon us.” So they cast lots, and the lot fell on Jonah. (Jud 20:9) 

New International Version

7 Then the sailors said to each other, ‘Come, let us cast lots to find out who is responsible for this calamity.’ They cast lots and the lot fell on Jonah. 

New International Reader’s Version

7 Here is what the sailors said to one another. ‘Someone is to blame for getting us into all this trouble. Come. Let’s cast lots to find out who it is.’ So they did. And Jonah was picked. 

King James Version

7 And they said every one to his fellow, Come, and let us cast lots, that we may know for whose cause this evil is upon us. So they cast lots, and the lot fell upon Jonah.
