Acts 27:28

English Standard Version

28 So they took a sounding and found twenty fathoms.[1] A little farther on they took a sounding again and found fifteen fathoms.[2] 

New International Version

28 They took soundings and found that the water was forty metres deep. A short time later they took soundings again and found it was thirty metres deep. 

New International Reader’s Version

28 They measured how deep the water was. They found that it was 40 metres deep. A short time later they measured the water again. This time it was 30 metres deep. 

King James Version

28 And sounded, and found it twenty fathoms: and when they had gone a little further, they sounded again, and found it fifteen fathoms.
