Yusuf Kardeşlerine Güven Veriyor
15Babalarının ölümünden sonra Yusuf'un kardeşleri, ‹‹Belki Yusuf bize kin besliyordur›› dediler, ‹‹Ya ona yaptığımız kötülüğe karşılık bizden öç almaya kalkarsa?››16-17Böylece Yusuf'a haber gönderdiler: ‹‹Babamız ölmeden önce Yusuf'a şöyle deyin diye buyurmuştu: ‹Kardeşlerin sana kötülük yaptılar, lütfen onların suçunu, günahını bağışla.› Ne olur şimdi günahımızı bağışla. Yusuf'un Ölümü
22Yusuf'la babasının ev halkı Mısır'a yerleştiler. Yusuf yüz on yıl yaşadı.23Efrayim'in üç göbek çocuklarını gördü. Manaşşe'nin oğlu Makir'in çocukları onun elinde doğdu.24Yusuf yakınlarına, ‹‹Ben ölmek üzereyim›› dedi, ‹‹Ama Tanrı kesinlikle size yardım edecek; sizi İbrahim'e, İshak'a, Yakup'a ant içerek söz verdiği topraklara götürecek.››25Sonra onlara ant içirerek, ‹‹Tanrı kesinlikle size yardım edecek›› dedi, ‹‹O zaman kemiklerimi buradan götürürsünüz.››26Yusuf yüz on yaşında öldü. 1Then Joseph fell on his father’s face and wept over him and kissed him. (Yar 46:4)2And Joseph commanded his servants the physicians to embalm his father. So the physicians embalmed Israel. God’s Good Purposes
15When Joseph’s brothers saw that their father was dead, they said, “It may be that Joseph will hate us and pay us back for all the evil that we did to him.”16So they sent a message to Joseph, saying, “Your father gave this command before he died:17‘Say to Joseph, “Please forgive the transgression of your brothers and their sin, because they did evil to you.”’ And now, please forgive the transgression of the servants of the God of your father.” Joseph wept when they spoke to him. (Yar 49:25)18His brothers also came and fell down before him and said, “Behold, we are your servants.” (Yar 37:7; Yar 37:10)19But Joseph said to them, “Do not fear, for am I in the place of God? (Yar 30:2; 2 Kr 5:7)20As for you, you meant evil against me, but God meant it for good, to bring it about that many people[2] should be kept alive, as they are today. (Yar 45:5; Yar 45:7)21So do not fear; I will provide for you and your little ones.” Thus he comforted them and spoke kindly to them. (Yar 45:11; Yar 47:12)
The Death of Joseph
22So Joseph remained in Egypt, he and his father’s house. Joseph lived 110 years.23And Joseph saw Ephraim’s children of the third generation. The children also of Machir the son of Manasseh were counted as Joseph’s own.[3] (Yar 30:3; Say 32:39; 1 Ta 7:14; Eyü 42:16; Mez 128:6)24And Joseph said to his brothers, “I am about to die, but God will visit you and bring you up out of this land to the land that he swore to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob.” (Yar 15:14; Yar 15:18; Yar 26:3; Yar 28:13; Yar 35:12; Yar 46:4; Yar 48:21; Çık 3:16; İbr 11:22)25Then Joseph made the sons of Israel swear, saying, “God will surely visit you, and you shall carry up my bones from here.” (Çık 13:19; Yşu 24:32)26So Joseph died, being 110 years old.
