Mesih: Tanrı'nın Gücü ve Bilgeliği
18Çarmıhla ilgili bildiri mahva gidenler için saçmalık, biz kurtulmakta olanlar içinse Tanrı gücüdür.19Nitekim şöyle yazılmıştır: ‹‹Bilgelerin bilgeliğini yok edeceğim, Akıllıların aklını boşa çıkaracağım.››20Hani nerede bilge kişi? Din bilgini nerede? Nerede bu çağın hünerli tartışmacısı? Tanrı dünya bilgeliğinin saçma olduğunu göstermedi mi?21Mademki dünya Tanrı'nın bilgeliği uyarınca Tanrı'yı kendi bilgeliğiyle tanımadı, Tanrı iman edenleri saçma sayılan bildiriyle kurtarmaya razı oldu.22Yahudiler doğaüstü belirtiler ister, Grekler'se bilgelik arar.23Ama biz çarmıha gerilmiş Mesih'i duyuruyoruz. Christ the Wisdom and Power of God
18For the word of the cross is folly to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.
