Die Versuchung Jesu Christi

1 Jesus aber, voll Heiligen Geistes, kehrte vom Jordan zurück und wurde vom Geist in die Wüste geführt (Jes 11,2; Jes 42,1; Lk 3,22; Lk 4,14; Apg 16,6; Röm 8,14) 

2 und 40 Tage vom Teufel versucht. Und er aß nichts in jenen Tagen; und zuletzt, als sie zu Ende waren, war er hungrig. (Mt 21,18) 

3 Und der Teufel sprach zu ihm: Wenn du Gottes Sohn bist, so sprich zu diesem Stein, dass er Brot werde! (Lk 3,22; Joh 1,34) 

4 Und Jesus antwortete ihm und sprach: Es steht geschrieben: »Der Mensch lebt nicht vom Brot allein, sondern von einem jeglichen Wort Gottes«. (5Mo 8,3) 

5 Da führte der Teufel ihn auf einen hohen Berg und zeigte ihm alle Reiche der Welt in einem Augenblick. 

6 Und der Teufel sprach zu ihm: Dir will ich alle diese Macht und ihre Herrlichkeit geben; denn sie ist mir übergeben, und ich gebe sie, wem ich will. (Joh 14,30; 1Joh 5,19) 

7 Wenn du nun vor mir anbetest, so soll alles dir gehören! (Mk 8,36; 1Joh 2,15) 

8 Und Jesus antwortete ihm und sprach: Weiche von mir, Satan! Denn es steht geschrieben: »Du sollst den Herrn, deinen Gott, anbeten und ihm allein dienen«. (5Mo 6,13; 5Mo 10,20) 

9 Und er führte ihn nach Jerusalem und stellte ihn auf die Zinne des Tempels und sprach zu ihm: Wenn du der Sohn Gottes bist, so stürze dich von hier hinab; (Mt 8,29; Lk 4,3; Röm 1,4) 

10 denn es steht geschrieben: »Er wird seinen Engeln deinetwegen Befehl geben, dass sie dich behüten, 

11 und sie werden dich auf den Händen tragen, damit du deinen Fuß nicht an einen Stein stößt.« (Ps 91,11) 

12 Und Jesus antwortete und sprach zu ihm: Es ist gesagt: »Du sollst den Herrn, deinen Gott, nicht versuchen!« (5Mo 6,16) 

13 Und nachdem der Teufel alle Versuchung vollendet hatte, wich er von ihm eine Zeit lang. (Lk 22,53; Jak 4,7) 

Der Beginn des Wirkens Jesu in Galiläa

14 Und Jesus kehrte in der Kraft des Geistes zurück nach Galiläa; und das Gerücht von ihm verbreitete sich durch die ganze umliegende Gegend. (Lk 4,1; Lk 4,18; Joh 4,3; Joh 4,43; Apg 10,37) 

15 Und er lehrte in ihren Synagogen und wurde von allen gepriesen. (Mt 4,23; Mk 1,39) 

Die Verkündigung in der Synagoge von Nazareth

16 Und er kam nach Nazareth, wo er erzogen worden war, und ging nach seiner Gewohnheit am Sabbattag in die Synagoge und stand auf, um vorzulesen. (Neh 8,4; Mt 2,23; Mt 13,54; Joh 18,20) 

17 Und es wurde ihm die Buchrolle des Propheten Jesaja gegeben; und als er die Buchrolle aufgerollt hatte, fand er die Stelle, wo geschrieben steht: (Lk 20,42; Apg 7,42; Apg 13,27) 

18 »Der Geist des Herrn ist auf mir, weil er mich gesalbt hat, den Armen frohe Botschaft zu verkünden; er hat mich gesandt, zu heilen, die zerbrochenen Herzens sind, Gefangenen Befreiung zu verkünden und den Blinden, dass sie wieder sehend werden, Zerschlagene in Freiheit zu setzen, (2Mo 40,13; Ps 146,8; Jes 29,18; Jes 49,9; Jes 58,6; Lk 4,1; Lk 4,43; Joh 8,36; Joh 10,36; Apg 10,38; Röm 16,13) 

19 um zu verkündigen das angenehme Jahr des Herrn.« (Jes 61,1; Jes 63,4; 2Kor 6,2) 

20 Und er rollte die Buchrolle zusammen und gab sie dem Diener wieder und setzte sich, und aller Augen in der Synagoge waren auf ihn gerichtet. 

21 Er aber fing an, ihnen zu sagen: Heute ist diese Schrift erfüllt vor euren Ohren! (Joh 5,39) 

22 Und alle gaben ihm Zeugnis und wunderten sich über die Worte der Gnade, die aus seinem Mund kamen, und sprachen: Ist dieser nicht der Sohn Josephs? (Jes 50,4; Mt 13,55; Mk 6,3; Joh 6,42; Joh 7,46) 

23 Und er sprach zu ihnen: Gewiss werdet ihr mir dieses Sprichwort sagen: Arzt, heile dich selbst! Die großen Taten, von denen wir gehört haben, dass sie in Kapernaum geschahen, tue sie auch hier in deiner Vaterstadt! 

24 Er sprach aber: Wahrlich, ich sage euch: Kein Prophet ist anerkannt in seinem Vaterland. (Mt 13,57; Joh 4,44) 

25 In Wahrheit aber sage ich euch: Es waren viele Witwen in den Tagen Elias in Israel, als der Himmel drei Jahre und sechs Monate lang verschlossen war, da eine große Hungersnot entstand im ganzen Land; (1Kön 17,1; 1Kön 18,1) 

26 und zu keiner von ihnen wurde Elia gesandt, sondern nur zu einer Witwe nach Zarpat bei Zidon. (1Kön 17,9) 

27 Und viele Aussätzige waren in Israel zur Zeit des Propheten Elisa; aber keiner von ihnen wurde gereinigt, sondern nur Naeman, der Syrer. (2Kön 5,1) 

28 Da wurden alle in der Synagoge voll Zorn, als sie dies hörten. (Lk 6,11; Apg 22,22) 

29 Und sie standen auf und stießen ihn zur Stadt hinaus und führten ihn an den Rand des Berges, auf dem ihre Stadt gebaut war, um ihn hinabzustürzen. (1Mo 37,20; Ps 37,14) 

30 Er aber ging mitten durch sie hindurch und zog weiter. (Joh 7,30; Joh 8,20; Joh 8,59; Joh 10,39) 

Jesus treibt einen unreinen Geist aus

31 Und er kam hinab nach Kapernaum, einer Stadt in Galiläa, und lehrte sie am Sabbat. (Mt 4,13; Joh 2,12) 

32 Und sie waren betroffen über seine Lehre, denn er redete mit Vollmacht. (Jer 23,29; Mt 7,28; Hebr 4,12) 

33 Und in der Synagoge war ein Mensch, der den Geist eines unreinen Dämonen hatte. Und er schrie mit lauter Stimme 

34 und sprach: Lass ab! Was haben wir mit dir zu tun, Jesus, du Nazarener? Bist du gekommen, um uns zu verderben? Ich weiß, wer du bist: der Heilige Gottes! (Mk 1,23; Lk 4,41) 

35 Und Jesus befahl ihm und sprach: Verstumme und fahre aus von ihm! Da warf ihn der Dämon mitten unter sie und fuhr aus von ihm und tat ihm keinen Schaden. (Mt 8,16; Mt 17,18) 

36 Und ein Entsetzen kam über alle, und sie redeten untereinander und sprachen: Was ist das für ein Wort, dass er mit Vollmacht und Kraft den unreinen Geistern gebietet und sie ausfahren? (Mk 1,27; Lk 10,17; 1Petr 3,22) 

37 Und sein Ruf verbreitete sich in alle Orte der umliegenden Gegend. (Mt 9,26; Lk 4,14) 

Die Heilung der Schwiegermutter des Petrus und anderer Kranker

38 Und er stand auf und ging aus der Synagoge in das Haus des Simon. Simons Schwiegermutter aber war von einem heftigen Fieber befallen, und sie baten ihn für sie. (Mk 5,22; Lk 7,3) 

39 Und er trat zu ihr, neigte sich über sie und befahl dem Fieber, und es verließ sie. Und sogleich stand sie auf und diente ihnen. (Mt 8,15; Mk 1,31) 

40 Als aber die Sonne unterging, brachten alle, die Kranke hatten mit mancherlei Gebrechen, sie zu ihm, und er legte einem jeden von ihnen die Hände auf und heilte sie. (Mk 6,5; Mk 6,54; Lk 13,13) 

41 Es fuhren auch Dämonen aus von vielen, indem sie schrien und sprachen: Du bist der Christus, der Sohn Gottes! Und er befahl ihnen und ließ sie nicht reden, weil sie wussten, dass er der Christus war. (Mk 3,11; Hebr 13,15) 

42 Als es aber Tag geworden war, ging er hinaus an einen abgelegenen Ort; und die Volksmenge suchte ihn und kam bis zu ihm, und sie wollten ihn zurückhalten, damit er nicht von ihnen wegginge. (Lk 6,12; Lk 24,29) 

43 Er aber sprach zu ihnen: Ich muss auch den anderen Städten das Evangelium vom Reich Gottes verkündigen; denn dazu bin ich gesandt. (Lk 4,18; Joh 6,38; Joh 9,4; Röm 15,8) 

44 Und er verkündigte in den Synagogen von Galiläa. (Mt 4,23)

1 And Jesus being full of the Holy Ghost returned from Jordan, and was led by the Spirit into the wilderness, 

2 Being forty days tempted of the devil. And in those days he did eat nothing: and when they were ended, he afterward hungered. 

3 And the devil said unto him, If thou be the Son of God, command this stone that it be made bread. 

4 And Jesus answered him, saying, It is written, That man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God. 

5 And the devil, taking him up into an high mountain, shewed unto him all the kingdoms of the world in a moment of time. 

6 And the devil said unto him, All this power will I give thee, and the glory of them: for that is delivered unto me; and to whomsoever I will I give it. 

7 If thou therefore wilt worship me, all shall be thine. 

8 And Jesus answered and said unto him, Get thee behind me, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve. 

9 And he brought him to Jerusalem, and set him on a pinnacle of the temple, and said unto him, If thou be the Son of God, cast thyself down from hence: 

10 For it is written, He shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee: 

11 And in their hands they shall bear thee up, lest at any time thou dash thy foot against a stone. 

12 And Jesus answering said unto him, It is said, Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God. 

13 And when the devil had ended all the temptation, he departed from him for a season. 

14 And Jesus returned in the power of the Spirit into Galilee: and there went out a fame of him through all the region round about. 

15 And he taught in their synagogues, being glorified of all. 

16 And he came to Nazareth, where he had been brought up: and, as his custom was, he went into the synagogue on the sabbath day, and stood up for to read. 

17 And there was delivered unto him the book of the prophet Esaias. And when he had opened the book, he found the place where it was written, 

18 The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, 

19 To preach the acceptable year of the Lord. 

20 And he closed the book, and he gave it again to the minister, and sat down. And the eyes of all them that were in the synagogue were fastened on him. 

21 And he began to say unto them, This day is this scripture fulfilled in your ears. 

22 And all bare him witness, and wondered at the gracious words which proceeded out of his mouth. And they said, Is not this Joseph's son? 

23 And he said unto them, Ye will surely say unto me this proverb, Physician, heal thyself: whatsoever we have heard done in Capernaum, do also here in thy country. 

24 And he said, Verily I say unto you, No prophet is accepted in his own country. 

25 But I tell you of a truth, many widows were in Israel in the days of Elias, when the heaven was shut up three years and six months, when great famine was throughout all the land; 

26 But unto none of them was Elias sent, save unto Sarepta, a city of Sidon, unto a woman that was a widow. 

27 And many lepers were in Israel in the time of Eliseus the prophet; and none of them was cleansed, saving Naaman the Syrian. 

28 And all they in the synagogue, when they heard these things, were filled with wrath, 

29 And rose up, and thrust him out of the city, and led him unto the brow of the hill whereon their city was built, that they might cast him down headlong. 

30 But he passing through the midst of them went his way, 

31 And came down to Capernaum, a city of Galilee, and taught them on the sabbath days. 

32 And they were astonished at his doctrine: for his word was with power. 

33 And in the synagogue there was a man, which had a spirit of an unclean devil, and cried out with a loud voice, 

34 Saying, Let us alone; what have we to do with thee, thou Jesus of Nazareth? art thou come to destroy us? I know thee who thou art; the Holy One of God. 

35 And Jesus rebuked him, saying, Hold thy peace, and come out of him. And when the devil had thrown him in the midst, he came out of him, and hurt him not. 

36 And they were all amazed, and spake among themselves, saying, What a word is this! for with authority and power he commandeth the unclean spirits, and they come out. 

37 And the fame of him went out into every place of the country round about. 

38 And he arose out of the synagogue, and entered into Simon's house. And Simon's wife's mother was taken with a great fever; and they besought him for her. 

39 And he stood over her, and rebuked the fever; and it left her: and immediately she arose and ministered unto them. 

40 Now when the sun was setting, all they that had any sick with divers diseases brought them unto him; and he laid his hands on every one of them, and healed them. 

41 And devils also came out of many, crying out, and saying, Thou art Christ the Son of God. And he rebuking them suffered them not to speak: for they knew that he was Christ. 

42 And when it was day, he departed and went into a desert place: and the people sought him, and came unto him, and stayed him, that he should not depart from them. 

43 And he said unto them, I must preach the kingdom of God to other cities also: for therefore am I sent. 

44 And he preached in the synagogues of Galilee.
