Weheruf über das abtrünnige Volk

1 Wehe den widerspenstigen Kindern, spricht der HERR, welche Pläne ausführen, die nicht von mir stammen, und Bündnisse abschließen ohne meinen Geist, und so Sünde auf Sünde häufen, (Jes 1,2; Jes 1,4; Jes 5,21; Jes 31,1; Jer 2,13; Hes 2,3)

2 die sich aufmachen, um nach Ägypten zu ziehen — aber mich fragen sie nicht um Rat —, um sich unter den Schutz des Pharao zu flüchten und Zuflucht zu suchen im Schatten Ägyptens! (4Mo 27,21; Jos 9,14; 2Sam 5,19; 1Kön 22,7; Jes 36,6; Jer 2,18; Hes 32,2)

3 Aber der Schutz des Pharao wird euch zur Schande werden und die Zuflucht unter dem Schatten Ägyptens zur Schmach. (Jes 20,5; Jer 2,36) 4 Denn ihre Fürsten sind in Zoan gewesen und ihre Boten bis nach Hanes gekommen. (4Mo 13,22; Ps 78,11; Jes 19,11) 5 Aber sie müssen doch alle zuschanden werden wegen eines Volkes, das ihnen nichts nützt, das ihnen weder Hilfe noch Vorteil bringt, sondern Schande und Spott! (Jes 20,5; Jes 30,3; Jes 31,1) 6 Die Last über die Tiere des Südens: Durch ein bedrängtes und geängstigtes Land, woher die Löwin kommt und der Löwe, die Otter und der fliegende Drache, schleppen sie auf dem Rücken der Esel ihren Reichtum und auf dem Höcker der Kamele ihre Schätze zu einem Volk, das nichts nützt! 7 Denn Ägypten ist nichtig und hilft gar nichts. Darum habe ich es genannt: das still sitzende Ungetüm. (Spr 25,19; Jes 30,6; Jer 46,17; Hos 5,13)

12 Darum, so spricht der Heilige Israels: Weil ihr dieses Wort verwerft und euch auf Gewalttätigkeit und Verdrehung verlasst und euch darauf stützt, (Jes 28,15; Jer 13,25; Mk 7,8) 13 darum wird euch diese Sünde sein wie ein Bruchstück, das herunterfallen will, das heraustritt aus einer hohen Mauer, die plötzlich, unversehens einstürzt. (Spr 29,1; Hes 13,10) 14 Und er wird sie zerbrechen, wie man ein Töpfergeschirr zerbricht, das schonungslos in Stücke geschlagen wird, sodass man unter seinen Stücken nicht eine Scherbe findet, mit der man Glut vom Herd holen oder Wasser aus einem Tümpel schöpfen könnte. Zukunftsverheißungen für Israel

18 Darum wartet der HERR, damit er euch begnadigen kann, und darum ist er hoch erhaben, damit er sich über euch erbarmen kann, denn der HERR ist ein Gott des Rechts; wohl allen, die auf ihn harren! (Ps 37,34; Spr 16,20; Jes 26,7; Jes 40,31; Jes 57,16; Jer 17,7; Jer 31,20; Hes 33,11)

24 Die Rinder und Esel, die das Feld bearbeiten, werden gesalzenes Mengfutter fressen, das mit der Worfschaufel und mit der Gabel geworfelt ist. (Hi 1,3; Hi 42,12) 25 Auf allen hohen Bergen und auf allen erhabenen Hügeln wird es Bäche geben, Wasserströme am Tag der großen Schlacht, wenn die Türme fallen werden. 30 Der HERR wird seine majestätische Stimme hören lassen und seinen niederfahrenden Arm sehen lassen, mit Zornesbrausen und verzehrenden Feuerflammen, Wolkenbruch, Platzregen und Hagelsteinen. (Jos 10,11; Ps 18,14; Ps 29,3; Jes 42,13; Jes 52,10; Jes 59,16; Jes 63,12; Hes 13,13)

31 Da wird der Assyrer von der Stimme des HERRN zerschmettert werden, wenn er ihn mit der Rute schlägt. yea, for the king it is prepared; he hath made it deep and large: the pile thereof is fire and much wood; the breath of the LORD, like a stream of brimstone, doth kindle it.
