Das siebte Siegel und die sieben Engel mit den sieben Posaunen

1 Und als es das siebte Siegel^[1] öffnete, entstand eine Stille im Himmel, etwa eine halbe Stunde lang. (Mk 4,39; Apg 21,40; Offb 5,1; Offb 6,3)

3 Und ein anderer Engel kam und stellte sich an den Altar, der hatte ein goldenes Räucherfass; und ihm wurde viel Räucherwerk gegeben, damit er es zusammen mit den Gebeten aller Heiligen auf dem goldenen Altar darbringe, der vor dem Thron ist. (2Mo 40,27; 3Mo 16,12; Lk 1,10; Offb 5,8; Offb 18,13)

4 Und der Rauch des Räucherwerks stieg auf vor Gott, zusammen mit den Gebeten der Heiligen, aus der Hand des Engels. (2Mo 30,1; Ps 141,2; Lk 1,10; Offb 8,3; Offb 15,8)

5 Und der Engel nahm das Räucherfass und füllte es mit Feuer vom Altar und warf es auf die Erde; und es geschahen Stimmen und Donner und Blitze und ein Erdbeben. (Hes 10,2; Offb 4,5; Offb 6,12)

Die vier ersten Posaunen

6 Und die sieben Engel, welche die sieben Posaunen hatten, machten sich bereit, in die Posaunen zu stoßen. (2Petr 3,7; Offb 8,2) 7 Und der erste Engel stieß in die Posaune, und es entstand Hagel und Feuer, mit Blut vermischt, und wurde auf die Erde geworfen; und der dritte Teil der Bäume verbrannte, und alles grüne Gras verbrannte. 8 Und der zweite Engel stieß in die Posaune, und es wurde etwas wie ein großer, mit Feuer brennender Berg ins Meer geworfen; und der dritte Teil des Meeres wurde zu Blut, (Jer 51,25; Am 7,4) 9 und der dritte Teil der Geschöpfe im Meer, die Leben hatten, starb, und der dritte Teil der Schiffe ging zugrunde. (2Mo 7,21; Ps 104,25) 10 Und der dritte Engel stieß in die Posaune; da fiel ein großer Stern vom Himmel, brennend wie eine Fackel, und er fiel auf den dritten Teil der Flüsse und auf die Wasserquellen; (Jes 14,12; Offb 6,13; Offb 9,1; Offb 16,4)

11 und der Name des Sternes heißt Wermut. Und der dritte Teil der Gewässer wurde zu Wermut, und viele Menschen starben von den Gewässern, weil sie bitter geworden waren. (Spr 5,4; Jer 2,19; Jer 9,14; Kla 3,15)

12 Und der vierte Engel stieß in die Posaune; da wurde der dritte Teil der Sonne und der dritte Teil des Mondes und der dritte Teil der Sterne geschlagen, damit der dritte Teil von ihnen verfinstert würde und der Tag für den dritten Teil seiner Dauer kein Licht habe, und die Nacht in gleicher Weise. 13 Und ich sah und hörte einen Engel, der in der Mitte des Himmels flog und mit lauter Stimme rief: Wehe, wehe, wehe denen, die auf der Erde wohnen, wegen der übrigen Posaunenstöße der drei Engel, die noch in die Posaune stoßen sollen! The Seventh Seal and the Golden Censer

1 When the Lamb opened the seventh seal, there was silence in heaven for about half an hour. (Offb 5,1; Offb 6,1) 2 Then I saw the seven angels who stand before God, and seven trumpets were given to them. (Lk 1,19) 3 And another angel came and stood at the altar with a golden censer, and he was given much incense to offer with the prayers of all the saints on the golden altar before the throne, (2Mo 30,1; 2Mo 30,3; Am 9,1; Offb 5,8; Offb 9,13)

4 and the smoke of the incense, with the prayers of the saints, rose before God from the hand of the angel. (Ps 141,2) 5 Then the angel took the censer and filled it with fire from the altar and threw it on the earth, and there were peals of thunder, rumblings,^[1] flashes of lightning, and an earthquake. (3Mo 16,12; Ps 18,7; Offb 4,5)

The Seven Trumpets

6 Now the seven angels who had the seven trumpets prepared to blow them. 7 The first angel blew his trumpet, and there followed hail and fire, mixed with blood, and these were thrown upon the earth. And a third of the earth was burned up, and a third of the trees were burned up, and all green grass was burned up. 8 The second angel blew his trumpet, and something like a great mountain, burning with fire, was thrown into the sea, and a third of the sea became blood. (2Mo 7,17; 2Mo 7,19; Jer 51,25; Mk 11,23; Offb 11,6)

9 A third of the living creatures in the sea died, and a third of the ships were destroyed. (Jes 2,16) 10 The third angel blew his trumpet, and a great star fell from heaven, blazing like a torch, and it fell on a third of the rivers and on the springs of water. (Jes 14,12; Offb 9,1; Offb 14,7; Offb 16,4)

11 The name of the star is Wormwood.^[2] A third of the waters became wormwood, and many people died from the water, because it had been made bitter. (2Mo 15,23; 5Mo 29,18; Jer 9,15; Jer 23,15)

12 The fourth angel blew his trumpet, and a third of the sun was struck, and a third of the moon, and a third of the stars, so that a third of their light might be darkened, and a third of the day might be kept from shining, and likewise a third of the night. (2Mo 10,21; Jes 13,10; Jes 30,26) 13 Then I looked, and I heard an eagle crying with a loud voice as it flew directly overhead, “Woe, woe, woe to those who dwell on the earth, at the blasts of the other trumpets that the three angels are about to blow!” (Offb 9,12; Offb 11,14)
