Der Herr mahnt Israel, auf sein Reden zu hören

1 Hört dies, ihr vom Haus Jakob, die ihr mit dem Namen Israel benannt und aus den Wassern Judas entsprungen seid; die ihr bei dem Namen des HERRN schwört und euch zu dem Gott Israels bekennt, aber nicht in Wahrheit noch in Gerechtigkeit! 3 Das Frühere habe ich längst schon verkündigt; aus meinem Mund ist es hervorgegangen, und ich habe es bekannt gemacht. Plötzlich habe ich es ausgeführt, und es ist eingetroffen. 5 so habe ich es dir damals angekündigt; ehe es geschah, habe ich es dich hören lassen, damit du nicht sagen könntest: »Mein Götze hat es gemacht, und mein geschnitztes oder gegossenes Bild hat es befohlen.« (Jes 42,8) 6 Du hast es gehört, betrachte es alles! 7 Jetzt erst ist es geschaffen worden und nicht schon früher; und vor dem heutigen Tag hast du nichts davon gehört, damit du nicht sagen könntest: Siehe, ich habe es gewusst! Israel Refined for God’s Glory

1 Hear this, O house of Jacob, who are called by the name of Israel, and who came from the waters of Judah, who swear by the name of the Lord and confess the God of Israel, but not in truth or right. (Ps 68,26; Jes 43,1; Jer 7,9) 2 For they call themselves after the holy city, and stay themselves on the God of Israel; the Lord of hosts is his name.
