Die fünfte Plage: Viehseuche

1 Da sprach der HERR zu Mose: Geh hinein zum Pharao und sprich zu ihm: So spricht der HERR, der Gott der Hebräer: »Lass mein Volk ziehen, damit es mir dient! (2Mo 7,26) 2 Denn wenn du dich weigerst, sie ziehen zu lassen, und sie weiter aufhältst, (2Mo 7,14; Jes 1,20) 3 siehe, so wird die Hand des HERRN über dein Vieh auf dem Feld kommen, über Pferde, Esel, Kamele, Rinder und Schafe, mit einer sehr schweren Viehseuche. (2Mo 9,22; 2Mo 12,12) 4 Und der HERR wird einen Unterschied machen zwischen dem Vieh Israels und dem Vieh der Ägypter, sodass von allem, was den Kindern Israels gehört, kein einziges sterben wird!« (2Mo 8,18) 5 Und der HERR bestimmte eine Zeit und sprach: Morgen wird der HERR dies im Land tun! (2Mo 8,23; 2Mo 9,18) 6 Und der HERR tat dies am Morgen, und alles Vieh der Ägypter starb, aber von dem Vieh der Kinder Israels starb kein einziges. (2Mo 9,3) 7 Und der Pharao sandte Boten hin, und siehe, von dem Vieh Israels war nicht eines gestorben. Gleichwohl blieb das Herz des Pharao verhärtet, sodass er das Volk nicht ziehen ließ. (2Mo 4,21)

Die sechste Plage: Geschwüre

8 Da sprach der HERR zu Mose und Aaron: Nehmt eure Hände voll Ofenruß, und Mose soll ihn zum Himmel werfen vor dem Pharao! 9 Dann wird er über dem ganzen Land Ägypten zu Staub werden, und er wird zu Geschwüren werden, die als Blattern aufbrechen an Menschen und Vieh im ganzen Land Ägypten. (Hi 2,4) 10 Da nahmen sie Ofenruß und traten vor den Pharao, und Mose warf ihn zum Himmel. Da wurden Geschwüre daraus, die als Blattern aufbrachen an Menschen und Vieh, (5Mo 28,27) 11 sodass die Zauberer nicht vor Mose treten konnten wegen der Geschwüre. Denn die Geschwüre waren an den Zauberern ebenso wie an allen anderen Ägyptern. (Jes 47,13; 2Tim 3,8) 12 Aber der HERR verstockte das Herz des Pharao, dass er nicht auf sie hörte, so wie der HERR es Mose gesagt hatte. Die siebte Plage: Hagel

13 Da sprach der HERR zu Mose: Mache dich am Morgen früh auf und tritt vor den Pharao und sprich zu ihm: So spricht der HERR, der Gott der Hebräer: »Lass mein Volk ziehen, damit es mir dient! (2Mo 7,26) 14 Sonst will ich diesmal alle meine Plagen gegen dein Herz richten und gegen deine Knechte und gegen dein Volk, damit du erkennst, dass auf der ganzen Erde nicht meinesgleichen ist. 17 Wenn du dich aber meinem Volk noch weiter entgegenstellst und es nicht ziehen lassen willst, (Hi 15,25; Jes 10,15) 18 siehe, so will ich morgen um diese Zeit einen sehr schweren Hagel fallen lassen, wie er in Ägypten bisher nicht gewesen ist seit der Zeit, da es gegründet wurde, bis jetzt. 19 Und nun lass dein Vieh und alles, was du auf dem Feld hast, in Sicherheit bringen; denn auf alle Menschen und alles Vieh, die sich auf dem Feld befinden und nicht in den Häusern versammelt sind, auf die wird der Hagel fallen, und sie werden umkommen!« (Ps 27,5; Ps 57,2) 20 Wer nun von den Knechten des Pharao das Wort des HERRN fürchtete, der ließ seine Knechte und sein Vieh in die Häuser fliehen; (Spr 22,3; Hebr 11,7) 21 diejenigen aber, die sich das Wort des HERRN nicht zu Herzen nahmen, die ließen ihre Knechte und ihr Vieh auf dem Feld. (Jer 17,5; Hes 40,4; Offb 16,9) 22 Da sprach der HERR zu Mose: Strecke deine Hand aus zum Himmel, damit Hagel im ganzen Land Ägypten fällt, über die Menschen und über das Vieh und über alles Gewächs auf dem Feld im Land Ägypten! (2Mo 7,19; 2Mo 8,5; 2Mo 8,16) 23 So streckte Mose seinen Stab zum Himmel. Und der HERR ließ es donnern und hageln, dass das Feuer zur Erde niederfuhr. Und der HERR ließ Hagel regnen auf das Land Ägypten. (Ps 18,13; Jes 30,30; Offb 16,21) 24 Es war aber zugleich Hagel und ein unaufhörliches Blitzen mitten in den Hagel hinein, so stark, dass etwas Derartiges im ganzen Land Ägypten niemals vorgekommen war, seitdem es bevölkert ist. (2Mo 10,14) 25 Und der Hagel erschlug im ganzen Land Ägypten alles, was auf dem Feld war, vom Menschen bis zum Vieh. Auch zerschlug der Hagel alles Gewächs auf dem Feld und zerbrach alle Bäume auf dem Land. (Ps 105,33) 26 Nur im Land Gosen, wo die Kinder Israels waren, hagelte es nicht. (Ps 46,2; Jes 32,18) 27 Da sandte der Pharao hin und ließ Mose und Aaron rufen und sprach zu ihnen: Diesmal habe ich mich versündigt! Der HERR ist gerecht; ich aber und mein Volk sind schuldig! 28 Bittet aber den HERRN, dass es nun genug sei mit dem Donner Gottes und dem Hagel; so will ich euch ziehen lassen, und ihr sollt nicht länger hierbleiben! (2Mo 8,4; 2Mo 8,24; Jes 26,16) 29 Da sprach Mose zu ihm: Wenn ich zur Stadt hinauskomme, so will ich meine Hände zum HERRN ausstrecken; dann wird der Donner aufhören und kein Hagel mehr sein, damit du erkennst, dass die Erde dem HERRN gehört! 30 Ich weiß aber, dass ihr, du und deine Knechte, euch vor Gott, dem HERRN, noch nicht fürchtet. (Spr 16,6; Spr 27,22; Jes 26,10) 31 Es waren aber der Flachs und die Gerste zerschlagen; denn die Gerste hatte Ähren und der Flachs Knospen getrieben. The Fifth Plague: Egyptian Livestock Die

1 Then the Lord said to Moses, “Go in to Pharaoh and say to him, ‘Thus says the Lord, the God of the Hebrews, “Let my people go, that they may serve me. (2Mo 7,16; 2Mo 8,1) 2 For if you refuse to let them go and still hold them, 3 behold, the hand of the Lord will fall with a very severe plague upon your livestock that are in the field, the horses, the donkeys, the camels, the herds, and the flocks. (2Mo 7,4) 4 But the Lord will make a distinction between the livestock of Israel and the livestock of Egypt, so that nothing of all that belongs to the people of Israel shall die.”’” (2Mo 8,22; 2Mo 11,7) 5 And the Lord set a time, saying, “Tomorrow the Lord will do this thing in the land.” 6 And the next day the Lord did this thing. The Sixth Plague: Boils

8 And the Lord said to Moses and Aaron, “Take handfuls of soot from the kiln, and let Moses throw them in the air in the sight of Pharaoh. 9 It shall become fine dust over all the land of Egypt, and become boils breaking out in sores on man and beast throughout all the land of Egypt.” (3Mo 13,18; 5Mo 28,27; 2Kön 20,7; Hi 2,7; Jes 38,21; Offb 16,2)

10 So they took soot from the kiln and stood before Pharaoh. And Moses threw it in the air, and it became boils breaking out in sores on man and beast. 11 And the magicians could not stand before Moses because of the boils, for the boils came upon the magicians and upon all the Egyptians. (2Mo 7,11; 2Tim 3,9) 12 But the Lord hardened the heart of Pharaoh, and he did not listen to them, as the Lord had spoken to Moses. (2Mo 4,21)

The Seventh Plague: Hail

13 Then the Lord said to Moses, “Rise up early in the morning and present yourself before Pharaoh and say to him, ‘Thus says the Lord, the God of the Hebrews, “Let my people go, that they may serve me. (2Mo 7,15; 2Mo 8,20) 14 For this time I will send all my plagues on you yourself,^[1] and on your servants and your people, so that you may know that there is none like me in all the earth. (2Mo 8,10) 15 For by now I could have put out my hand and struck you and your people with pestilence, and you would have been cut off from the earth. 16 But for this purpose I have raised you up, to show you my power, so that my name may be proclaimed in all the earth.
