1Und David ging von dort weg und entkam in die Höhle Adullam. Als das seine Brüder und das ganze Haus seines Vaters hörten, kamen sie dorthin zu ihm hinab. (Jos 15,35; 2Sam 23,13; Hebr 11,38)2Und es versammelten sich zu ihm allerlei Männer, die in Not und Schulden waren, und alle, die ein verbittertes Herz hatten, und er wurde ihr Oberster, und sie hielten es mit ihm, etwa 400 Mann. (Ri 11,3; 1Sam 25,13; Ps 72,12; Mt 9,12; Mt 11,28)3Und David ging von dort nach Mizpe [in] Moab und sprach zum König von Moab: Lass doch meinen Vater und meine Mutter herkommen und bei euch bleiben, bis ich erfahre, was Gott mit mir tun wird! Saul ermordet die Priester des Herrn
6Und als Saul hörte, dass David und die Männer, die bei ihm waren, entdeckt worden seien (Saul aber saß gerade in Gibea unter der Tamariske auf der Anhöhe, den Speer in der Hand, und alle seine Knechte standen vor ihm), (1Sam 14,2; 1Sam 19,9)7da sprach Saul zu seinen Knechten, die vor ihm standen: Hört doch, ihr Benjaminiter: Wird auch der Sohn Isais euch allen Äcker und Weinberge geben? Wird er euch alle zu Obersten über tausend und zu Obersten über hundert machen, (1Sam 8,11; 1Sam 8,14)8dass ihr euch alle gegen mich verschworen habt und niemand es meinen Ohren offenbarte, als mein Sohn einen Bund mit dem Sohn Isais gemacht hat? Und ist niemand unter euch, dem es um meinetwillen leidtat und der es meinen Ohren offenbarte, dass mein eigener Sohn meinen Knecht gegen mich aufgewiegelt hat und mir nachstellt, wie es heute [offenbar] ist? Denn ihre Hand ist auch mit David; und obgleich sie wussten, dass er floh, haben sie es mir doch nicht eröffnet! Aber die Knechte des Königs wollten ihre Hand nicht an die Priester des HERRN legen, um sie zu erschlagen. Und Doeg, der Edomiter, trat herzu und fiel über die Priester her und tötete an jenem Tag 85 Männer, die das leinene Ephod trugen. (1Sam 2,31)19Und Nob, die Stadt der Priester, schlug er mit der Schärfe des Schwertes, vom Mann bis zur Frau, vom Kind bis zum Säugling, sowie Rinder, Esel und Schafe, mit der Schärfe des Schwertes. 1David departed from there and escaped to the cave of Adullam. And when his brothers and all his father’s house heard it, they went down there to him. (2Sam 23,13; 1Chr 11,15)2And everyone who was in distress, and everyone who was in debt, and everyone who was bitter in soul,[1] gathered to him. And he became commander over them. And there were with him about four hundred men. (Ri 9,4; Ri 11,3; 1Sam 23,13; 1Sam 25,13)3And David went from there to Mizpeh of Moab. And he said to the king of Moab, “Please let my father and my mother stay[2] with you, till I know what God will do for me.”4And he left them with the king of Moab, and they stayed with him all the time that David was in the stronghold.5Then the prophet Gad said to David, “Do not remain in the stronghold; depart, and go into the land of Judah.” So David departed and went into the forest of Hereth. Saul Kills the Priests at Nob
6Now Saul heard that David was discovered, and the men who were with him. Saul was sitting at Gibeah under the tamarisk tree on the height with his spear in his hand, and all his servants were standing about him. (1Mo 21,33; 1Sam 31,13)7And Saul said to his servants who stood about him, “Hear now, people of Benjamin; will the son of Jesse give every one of you fields and vineyards, will he make you all commanders of thousands and commanders of hundreds, (1Sam 8,14)8that all of you have conspired against me? No one discloses to me when my son makes a covenant with the son of Jesse.
