1Da rief Isaak den Jakob, segnete ihn und gebot ihm und sprach zu ihm: Nimm keine Frau von den Töchtern Kanaans! 6Als nun Esau sah, dass Isaak den Jakob gesegnet und ihn nach Paddan-Aram entlassen hatte, damit er sich von dort eine Frau hole, und dass er, als er ihn segnete, ihm gebot und sprach: »Du sollst keine Frau von den Töchtern Kanaans nehmen«,7und dass Jakob seinem Vater und seiner Mutter gehorsam war und nach Paddan-Aram zog, (2Mo 20,12; Spr 1,8; Spr 30,17; Eph 6,1)8als Esau auch sah, dass Isaak, sein Vater, die Töchter Kanaans nicht gerne sah, (1Mo 26,34)9da ging Esau hin zu Ismael und nahm zu seinen Frauen noch Mahalath als Frau hinzu, die Tochter Ismaels, des Sohnes Abrahams, die Schwester Nebajoths. Jakobs Traum von der Himmelsleiter
10Jakob aber zog von Beerscheba aus und wanderte nach Haran. (1Mo 11,31; 1Mo 24,10; 1Mo 27,43)11Und er kam an einen Ort, wo er über Nacht blieb; denn die Sonne war untergegangen. Und er nahm von den Steinen jenes Orts und legte sie unter sein Haupt und legte sich an dem Ort schlafen. Jacob Sent to Laban
1Then Isaac called Jacob and blessed him and directed him, “You must not take a wife from the Canaanite women. (1Mo 27,46; 1Mo 28,6)2Arise, go to Paddan-aram to the house of Bethuel your mother’s father, and take as your wife from there one of the daughters of Laban your mother’s brother. 6Now Esau saw that Isaac had blessed Jacob and sent him away to Paddan-aram to take a wife from there, and that as he blessed him he directed him, “You must not take a wife from the Canaanite women,”7and that Jacob had obeyed his father and his mother and gone to Paddan-aram.8So when Esau saw that the Canaanite women did not please Isaac his father, (1Mo 24,3; 1Mo 26,35)9Esau went to Ishmael and took as his wife, besides the wives he had, Mahalath the daughter of Ishmael, Abraham’s son, the sister of Nebaioth. Taking one of the stones of the place, he put it under his head and lay down in that place to sleep.12And he dreamed, and behold, there was a ladder[2] set up on the earth, and the top of it reached to heaven. And behold, the angels of God were ascending and descending on it!
