Zur bestimmten Zeit will ich wieder zu dir kommen im nächsten Jahr, und Sarah wird einen Sohn haben! Abrahams Fürbitte für Sodom
16Da brachen die Männer auf und wandten sich nach Sodom. Und Abraham ging mit ihnen, um sie zu begleiten. (1Mo 18,2; Apg 20,38; Apg 21,5; 3Joh 1,6)17Da sprach der HERR: Sollte ich Abraham verbergen, was ich tun will? (Ps 25,14; Am 3,7; Joh 15,15)18Abraham soll doch gewiss zu einem großen und starken Volk werden, und alle Völker der Erde sollen in ihm gesegnet werden. (1Mo 12,2)19Denn ich habe ihn ersehen, dass er seinen Kindern und seinem Haus nach ihm gebiete, den Weg des HERRN zu bewahren, indem sie Gerechtigkeit und Recht üben, damit der HERR auf Abraham kommen lasse, was er ihm verheißen hat. (5Mo 4,9; Jos 24,15; Ps 78,1)20Und der HERR sprach: Das Geschrei über Sodom und Gomorra ist groß, und ihre Sünde ist sehr schwer. When he saw them, he ran from the tent door to meet them and bowed himself to the earth (1Mo 19,1; Hebr 13,2)3and said, “O Lord,[2] if I have found favor in your sight, do not pass by your servant.4Let a little water be brought, and wash your feet, and rest yourselves under the tree, (1Mo 19,2; 1Mo 24,32; 1Mo 43,24; Lk 7,44; Joh 13,14)5while I bring a morsel of bread, that you may refresh yourselves, and after that you may pass on—since you have come to your servant.” So they said, “Do as you have said.” (1Mo 19,8; 1Mo 33,10; Ri 19,5; Ps 104,15)6And Abraham went quickly into the tent to Sarah and said, “Quick! Abraham Intercedes for Sodom
22So the men turned from there and went toward Sodom, but Abraham still stood before the Lord. (1Mo 18,1; 1Mo 18,16; 1Mo 19,1; Ps 106,23; Jer 18,20)23Then Abraham drew near and said, “Will you indeed sweep away the righteous with the wicked? (1Mo 20,4; 4Mo 16,22; 2Sam 24,17)24Suppose there are fifty righteous within the city. Will you then sweep away the place and not spare it for the fifty righteous who are in it?25Far be it from you to do such a thing, to put the righteous to death with the wicked, so that the righteous fare as the wicked! Far be that from you! Shall not the Judge of all the earth do what is just?” (5Mo 32,4; Hi 8,3; Hi 8,20; Hi 34,10; Röm 3,5)26And the Lord said, “If I find at Sodom fifty righteous in the city, I will spare the whole place for their sake.” (Jes 65,8; Jer 5,1; Hes 22,30)27Abraham answered and said, “Behold, I have undertaken to speak to the Lord, I who am but dust and ashes. (Lk 18,1)28Suppose five of the fifty righteous are lacking. Will you destroy the whole city for lack of five?” And he said, “I will not destroy it if I find forty-five there.”29Again he spoke to him and said, “Suppose forty are found there.” He answered, “For the sake of forty I will not do it.”30Then he said, “Oh let not the Lord be angry, and I will speak. Suppose thirty are found there.” He answered, “I will not do it, if I find thirty there.”31He said, “Behold, I have undertaken to speak to the Lord. Suppose twenty are found there.” He answered, “For the sake of twenty I will not destroy it.”32Then he said, “Oh let not the Lord be angry, and I will speak again but this once.
