La gran multitud con túnicas blancas
9Después de esto miré, y apareció una multitud tomada de todas las naciones, tribus, pueblos y lenguas; era tan grande que nadie podía contarla. Estaban de pie delante del trono y del Cordero, vestidos de túnicas blancas y con ramas de palma en la mano.10Gritaban a gran voz: «¡La salvación viene de nuestro Dios, que está sentado en el trono, y del Cordero!»11Todos los ángeles estaban de pie alrededor del trono, de los ancianos y de los cuatro seres vivientes. Se postraron rostro en tierra delante del trono, y adoraron a Dios12diciendo: «¡Amén! La alabanza, la gloria, la sabiduría, la acción de gracias, la honra, el poder y la fortaleza son de nuestro Dios por los siglos de los siglos. ¡Amén!»13Entonces uno de los ancianos me preguntó: ―Esos que están vestidos de blanco, ¿quiénes son, y de dónde vienen?14―Eso tú lo sabes, mi señor —respondí. 1After this I saw four angels standing at the four corners of the earth, holding back the four winds of the earth, that no wind might blow on earth or sea or against any tree. (Jer 49,36; Dan 7,2; Offb 7,3)2Then I saw another angel ascending from the rising of the sun, with the seal of the living God, and he called with a loud voice to the four angels who had been given power to harm earth and sea, (Offb 9,4; Offb 16,12)3saying, “Do not harm the earth or the sea or the trees, until we have sealed the servants of our God on their foreheads.” (Hes 3,8; Hes 9,4; Offb 6,6; Offb 9,4; Offb 13,16; Offb 14,1; Offb 22,4)4And I heard the number of the sealed, 144,000, sealed from every tribe of the sons of Israel: (Offb 9,16)512,000 from the tribe of Judah were sealed, 12,000 from the tribe of Reuben, 12,000 from the tribe of Gad,612,000 from the tribe of Asher, 12,000 from the tribe of Naphtali, 12,000 from the tribe of Manasseh,712,000 from the tribe of Simeon, 12,000 from the tribe of Levi, 12,000 from the tribe of Issachar,812,000 from the tribe of Zebulun, 12,000 from the tribe of Joseph, 12,000 from the tribe of Benjamin were sealed.
A Great Multitude from Every Nation
9After this I looked, and behold, a great multitude that no one could number, from every nation, from all tribes and peoples and languages, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed in white robes, with palm branches in their hands, (3Mo 23,40; Joh 12,13; Röm 11,25; Offb 3,4; Offb 5,9; Offb 7,14)10and crying out with a loud voice, “Salvation belongs to our God who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb!” (Ps 3,8; Offb 12,10; Offb 19,1)11And all the angels were standing around the throne and around the elders and the four living creatures, and they fell on their faces before the throne and worshiped God, (Offb 4,6; Offb 4,10)12saying, “Amen!
