1Luego el ángel me mostró un río de agua de vida, claro como el cristal, que salía del trono de Dios y del Cordero,2y corría por el centro de la calle[1] principal de la ciudad. A cada lado del río estaba el árbol de la vida, que produce doce cosechas al año, una por mes; y las hojas del árbol son para la salud de las naciones.3Ya no habrá maldición. El trono de Dios y del Cordero estará en la ciudad. Sus siervos le adorarán;4lo verán cara a cara, y llevarán su nombre en la frente.5Ya no habrá noche; no necesitarán luz de lámpara ni de sol, porque el Señor Dios los alumbrará. Y reinarán por los siglos de los siglos.6El ángel me dijo: «Estas palabras son verdaderas y dignas de confianza. El Señor, el Dios que inspira a los profetas,[2] ha enviado a su ángel para mostrar a sus siervos lo que tiene que suceder sin demora».
Cristo viene pronto
7«¡Mirad que vengo pronto! Dichoso el que cumple las palabras del mensaje profético de este libro».8Yo, Juan, soy el que vio y oyó todas estas cosas. Y, cuando lo vi y oí, me postré para adorar al ángel que me había estado mostrando todo esto.9Pero él me dijo: «¡No, cuidado! Soy un siervo como tú, como tus hermanos los profetas y como todos los que cumplen las palabras de este libro. ¡Adora solo a Dios!»10También me dijo: «No guardes en secreto las palabras del mensaje profético de este libro, porque el tiempo de su cumplimiento está cerca.11Deja que el malo siga haciendo el mal y que el vil siga envileciéndose; deja que el justo siga practicando la justicia y que el santo siga santificándose».12«¡Mirad que vengo pronto! Traigo conmigo mi recompensa, y le pagaré a cada uno según lo que haya hecho.13Yo soy el Alfa y la Omega, el Primero y el Último, el Principio y el Fin.14»Dichosos los que lavan sus ropas para tener derecho al árbol de la vida y para poder entrar por las puertas de la ciudad.15Pero afuera se quedarán los perros, los que practican las artes mágicas, los que cometen inmoralidades sexuales, los asesinos, los idólatras y todos los que aman y practican la mentira.16»Yo, Jesús, he enviado a mi ángel para daros testimonio de estas cosas que conciernen a las iglesias. Yo soy la raíz y la descendencia de David, la brillante estrella de la mañana».17El Espíritu y la novia dicen: «¡Ven!»; y el que escuche diga: «¡Ven!» El que tenga sed, venga; y el que quiera, tome gratuitamente del agua de la vida.18A todo el que escuche las palabras del mensaje profético de este libro le advierto esto: Si alguno añade algo, Dios le añadirá a él las plagas descritas en este libro.19Y, si alguno quita palabras de este libro de profecía, Dios le quitará su parte del árbol de la vida y de la ciudad santa, descritos en este libro.20El que da testimonio de estas cosas, dice: «Sí, vengo pronto». Amén. ¡Ven, Señor Jesús!21Que la gracia del Señor Jesús sea con todos. Amén.

And the Lord, the God of the spirits of the prophets, has sent his angel to show his servants what must soon take place.” (1Kor 14,32; Offb 1,1; Offb 21,5)7“And behold, I am coming soon. Blessed is the one who keeps the words of the prophecy of this book.” (Offb 1,3; Offb 3,11; Offb 22,12; Offb 22,20)8I, John, am the one who heard and saw these things. And when I heard and saw them, I fell down to worship at the feet of the angel who showed them to me, (Offb 1,1; Offb 1,4; Offb 1,9; Offb 19,10)9but he said to me, “You must not do that! I am a fellow servant with you and your brothers the prophets, and with those who keep the words of this book. Worship God.” (Offb 22,6; Offb 22,8)10And he said to me, “Do not seal up the words of the prophecy of this book, for the time is near. (Offb 10,4)11Let the evildoer still do evil, and the filthy still be filthy, and the righteous still do right, and the holy still be holy.” (Hes 3,27; Dan 12,10; 2Tim 3,13)12“Behold, I am coming soon, bringing my recompense with me, to repay each one for what he has done. (Jes 40,10; Jes 62,11; Mt 16,27; Offb 22,7; Offb 22,20)13I am the Alpha and the Omega, the first and the last, the beginning and the end.” (Offb 1,8; Offb 1,17; Offb 21,6)14Blessed are those who wash their robes,[3] so that they may have the right to the tree of life and that they may enter the city by the gates. (Ps 118,20; Offb 7,14; Offb 21,27; Offb 22,2; Offb 22,19)15Outside are the dogs and sorcerers and the sexually immoral and murderers and idolaters, and everyone who loves and practices falsehood. (Mt 8,12; Gal 5,19; Phil 3,2; Offb 21,8)16“I, Jesus, have sent my angel to testify to you about these things for the churches. I am the root and the descendant of David, the bright morning star.” (4Mo 24,17; Jes 60,3; Mt 1,1; Mt 2,2; Offb 1,1; Offb 1,4; Offb 2,28; Offb 5,5)17The Spirit and the Bride say, “Come.” And let the one who hears say, “Come.” And let the one who is thirsty come; let the one who desires take the water of life without price. (Jes 55,1; Joh 7,37; Offb 21,2; Offb 21,6; Offb 21,9)18I warn everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: if anyone adds to them, God will add to him the plagues described in this book, (5Mo 4,2; 5Mo 12,32; Spr 30,6)19and if anyone takes away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God will take away his share in the tree of life and in the holy city, which are described in this book. (Offb 21,2; Offb 22,2; Offb 22,14)20He who testifies to these things says, “Surely I am coming soon.” Amen. Come, Lord Jesus!
