1Now the Spirit expressly says that in later times some will depart from the faith by devoting themselves to deceitful spirits and teachings of demons, (Mt 7,15; Joh 14,17; 1Kor 11,19; 2Thess 2,3; 2Tim 3,1; 1Joh 4,6)2through the insincerity of liars whose consciences are seared, (1Thess 2,3; 2Thess 2,11)3who forbid marriage and require abstinence from foods that God created to be received with thanksgiving by those who believe and know the truth.
