Salutări

1 V‑o recomand pe Fibia, sora noastră, diaconiță^[1] a bisericii din Chencrea^[2]. 2 S‑o primiți în Domnul, într‑un mod vrednic de niște sfinți, și să‑i stați alături în orice ar avea nevoie de la voi, căci ea a fost un ajutor pentru mulți, inclusiv pentru mine însumi. 3 Salutați‑i pe Prisca^[3] și Akyla, lucrători împreună cu mine în Cristos Isus, 4 care și‑au riscat viața pentru mine și cărora le mulțumesc nu doar eu, ci și toate bisericile dintre neamuri. 5 Salutați, de asemenea, biserica din casa lor! 17 Vă îndemn, fraților, să vă feriți de cei ce aduc dezbinări și pun obstacole^[10] împotriva învățăturii pe care ați primit‑o! Depărtați‑vă de ei, (Ro 11:9) 18 pentru că astfel de oameni nu‑L slujesc pe Domnul nostru Cristos, ci își slujesc propriul pântec. Printr‑o vorbire plăcută și prin lingușire, ei înșală inimile celor naivi. 19 Ascultarea voastră a ajuns cunoscută de toți, așa că mă bucur pentru voi. Însă doresc să fiți înțelepți cu privire la ce este bun și curați cu privire la ce este rău. 20 Dumnezeul păcii îl va zdrobi în curând pe Satan^[11] sub picioarele voastre. With smooth talk and with words they don’t mean they fool people who don’t know any better. 19 Everyone has heard that you obey God. So you have filled me with joy. I want you to be wise about what is good. And I want you to have nothing to do with what is evil. 20 The God who gives peace will soon crush Satan under your feet. May the grace of our Lord Jesus be with you. 21 Timothy works together with me. He sends his greetings to you. So do Lucius, Jason and Sosipater, my fellow Jews. 22 I, Tertius, wrote down this letter. I greet you as a believer in the Lord. 23-24 Gaius sends you his greetings.
