Remember, O Lord, in David’s favor, all the hardships he endured, (1Chr 22,14; Ps 120,1)2how he swore to the Lord and vowed to the Mighty One of Jacob, (1Mo 49,24; Ps 50,14; Ps 132,5; Jes 49,26; Jes 60,16)3“I will not enter my house or get into my bed,4I will not give sleep to my eyes or slumber to my eyelids, (Spr 6,4)5until I find a place for the Lord, a dwelling place for the Mighty One of Jacob.” (1Chr 22,7; Ps 132,2; Apg 7,46)6Behold, we heard of it in Ephrathah; we found it in the fields of Jaar.
