1Один же человек, по имени Анания, вместе со своей женой Сапфирой, продал свое имение2и часть вырученной суммы оставил себе, причем его жена знала об этом. Остальное же он принес и положил к ногам апостолов.3Петр сказал ему: – Анания, как это сатана мог завладеть твоим сердцем настолько, что ты солгал Святому Духу и оставил себе часть денег, которые ты получил за проданную землю?4Ведь земля до того, как ты ее продал, была твоей, и деньги, которые ты за нее получил, тоже твои. Почему же ты замыслил такое? Ты солгал не людям, а Богу.5Как только Анания услышал эти слова, он упал мертвым. Знамения и чудеса
12Через апостолов в народе совершалось много знамений и чудес. Все верующие собирались вместе в колоннаде Соломона.13И никто из случайных людей не решался к ним присоединяться, хотя народ их очень уважал.14Верующих же в Господа становилось все больше и больше, и мужчин, и женщин.15Люди выносили на улицы больных, клали их на носилках и циновках, чтобы хоть тень Петра упала на них, когда он будет проходить мимо.16И из городов, что были близ Иерусалима, приходили толпы людей. Они приносили больных и одержимых нечистыми духами, и все исцелялись.

Ananias and Sapphira
1But a man named Ananias, with his wife Sapphira, sold a piece of property,2and with his wife’s knowledge he kept back for himself some of the proceeds and brought only a part of it and laid it at the apostles’ feet. (Apg 4,35; Apg 4,37; Apg 5,3)3But Peter said, “Ananias, why has Satan filled your heart to lie to the Holy Spirit and to keep back for yourself part of the proceeds of the land? (Lk 22,3; Joh 13,2; Joh 13,27; Apg 5,2; Apg 5,4; Apg 5,9)4While it remained unsold, did it not remain your own? And after it was sold, was it not at your disposal? Many Signs and Wonders Done
12Now many signs and wonders were regularly done among the people by the hands of the apostles. And they were all together in Solomon’s Portico. (Apg 2,47; Apg 4,21; Apg 5,26)14And more than ever believers were added to the Lord, multitudes of both men and women, (Apg 6,1)15so that they even carried out the sick into the streets and laid them on cots and mats, that as Peter came by at least his shadow might fall on some of them. The Apostles Arrested and Freed
17But the high priest rose up, and all who were with him (that is, the party of the Sadducees), and filled with jealousy (Mt 22,23; Apg 7,9; Apg 13,45; Apg 17,5; Jak 3,14; Jak 3,16)18they arrested the apostles and put them in the public prison.
