Psalm 114

New International Version

from Biblica

1 When Israel came out of Egypt, Jacob from a people of foreign tongue, 

2 Judah became God’s sanctuary, Israel his dominion. 

3 The sea looked and fled, the Jordan turned back; 

4 the mountains leaped like rams, the hills like lambs. 

5 Why was it, sea, that you fled? Why, Jordan, did you turn back? 

6 Why, mountains, did you leap like rams, you hills, like lambs? 

7 Tremble, earth, at the presence of the Lord, at the presence of the God of Jacob, 

8 who turned the rock into a pool, the hard rock into springs of water.

1 Als Israel aus Ägypten zog, das Haus Jakob aus dem Volk fremder Sprache, (Ex 13:3; 1Ki 6:1; Ps 105:37) 

2 da wurde Juda sein Heiligtum, Israel sein Herrschaftsgebiet. (Ex 19:5; Le 20:26; De 7:6; 1Co 6:19; 1Pe 2:9) 

3 Das Meer sah es und floh, der Jordan wandte sich zurück; (Ex 14:21; Ex 15:19; Jos 3:15; Ps 74:15; Ps 78:13) 

4 die Berge hüpften wie Widder, die Hügel wie junge Schafe. (Ex 19:18; Hab 3:6) 

5 Was kam dich an, o Meer, dass du geflohen bist, du Jordan, dass du dich zurückwandtest, (Hab 3:8) 

6 ihr Berge, dass ihr hüpftet wie Widder, ihr Hügel wie junge Schafe? (Ps 29:5; Isa 64:2) 

7 O Erde, erbebe vor dem Angesicht des Herrschers, vor dem Angesicht des Gottes Jakobs, (Ex 3:6; Ps 46:8; Isa 49:26) 

8 der den Fels verwandelte in einen Wasserteich, den Kieselfels in einen Wasserquell! (Ex 17:6; Nu 20:11; Ps 78:15; 1Co 10:4)
